Carbonatite Occurrence in Ambaji-sendra Belt of NW Indian shield: Evidence of Carbonatitic Magmatism in the subduction setting

The paper represents a new discovery of a late Mesoproterozoic lenticular and discontinuous, carbonatitic body exposed at Basantgarh, sendra and near the Abu-road area of the Ambaji-sendra belt of the south Delhi Fold Belt. It is medium to coarse-grained and light to dark coloured compact rock. The common associates of the carbonatitic rock are felsic rocks, rich in alkalies. Carbonatite contains more than 50% carbonate minerals, the majority of which are calcite, dolomite, ankerite, augite-aegirine augite and plagioclase. It is classified as calcite carbonatite of the sövite variety due to its coarse-grained character, chemically as calico-carbonatite and magnesio-carbonatite and even as silico-carbonatites for having more than 20% siOsub>2sub>. The ∑REE contents of calico-carbonatite samples are nearly 100 times greater than magnesio-carbonatite. Chondrite normalised REE profiles of calcio-carbonatites are LREE enriched with nearly flat HREEs whereas the magnesio-carbonatite is characterised by flat REE patterns. The mantle-normalized incompatible trace element spidergram of Ambaji-sendra belt carbonatites shows distinct negative anomalies of Ba, Nb, Ta, P, sm, Eu, Ti and Y and positive at U and Pb by calcio-carbonatite whereas the magnesio-carbonatite displays negative kinks at K, Zr, Nb, Ta and Ti and positive at Th, Pb and sr. The variable and/or contrasting enrichment/depletion in various elements in the two types of Ambaji-sendra belt carbonatite is attributed either to significant differences in the type and modal proportion of different accessory mineral species or selective incorporation of metasomatic fluids during the subduction process. The chemical attributes of Ambaji-sendra belt carbonatite suggest its emplacement in subduction settings.

smart material actuators, with high force, large strain, and nanometer solution, enjoy wide range of employment in vibration control, robotics, micro-positioning, etc., nevertheless, the smart material actuators exhibit dynamic hysteresis. such hysteresis seriously confines the actuator’s performances, e.g., oscillation, undesirable positioning error, or even instability in severe cases. Thus, for analyzing, controlling and using the actuators efficiently and effectively, an accurate actuator hysteresis model must be *** to material deformations i.e. magnetostriction, that takes place when the material is treated under an external magnetic field, magnetostrictive actuators are being investigated progressively for several micro-/nano-positioning, ultrasonic, robotics and vibration control applications, due to their high force capacity, high energy densities. The operating principle of these actuators is based on magnetostriction, which is a highly complex phenomenon because of the interactions of mechanical, magnetic, and electrical phenomena. This complexity is further combined with the non-linear performance of the material（generally Galfenol or Terfenol-D）, in particular, the behavior of Terfenol-D, noticed at high frequencies and high drive levels. several models are present in the current literature describing *** effective employment of magnetostrictive actuators technology in control applications, defined by high dynamics, demands a precise understanding of the dynamics of these actuators with an accurate mathematical model to carry out control strategies. However, this is usually hindered by nonlinearities of the actuator system as well as complexity of the model. Application of He’s Variational Iterative Method for solving Thin Film Flow Problem Arising in Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics

In this paper, He’s variational iteration method is successfully employed to solve a nonlinear boundary value problem arising in the study of thin film flow of a third grade fluid down an inclined plane. For comparison, the same problem is solved by the Adomian decomposition method. The results show that the difference between the two solutions is negligible. The conclusion is that this technique may be considered an alternative and efficient method for finding approximate solutions of both linear and nonlinear boundary value problems. Furthermore, the variational iteration method has an advantage over the decomposition method in that it solves the nonlinear problems without using the Adomian polynomials.

Transhepatic venous approach to permanent pacemaker placement in a patient with limited central venous access

The end-stage renal disease population poses a challenge for obtaining venous access required for life-saving invasive cardiac procedures. In this case report, we describe an adult patient with end-stage renal disease in whom the hepatic vein was the only available access to implant a single-lead permanent cardiac pacemaker. A 63-year-old male with endstage renal disease on maintenance hemodialysis and permanent atrial fibrillation/atrial flutter presented with symptomatic bradycardia. Imaging studies revealed all traditional central venous access sites to be occluded/non-accessible. With the assistance of vascular interventional radiology, a trans-hepatic venous catheter was placed. This was then used to place a right ventricular pacing lead with close attention to numerous technical aspects. The procedure was completed successfully with placement of a single-lead permanent cardiac pacemaker.

Current available treatment options for erectile dysfunction （ED） are effective but not without failure and/or side effects. Although the development of phosphodiesterase type 5 （PDE5） inhibitors （i.e. sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil） has revolutionized the treatment of ED, these oral medications require on-demand access and are not as effective in treating ED related to diabetic, post-prostatectomy and severe veno-occlusive disease states. Improvement in the treatment of ED is dependent on understanding the regulation of human corporal smooth muscle tone and on the identification of relevant molecular targets. Future ED therapies might consider the application of molecular technologies such as gene therapy. As a potential therapeutic tool, gene therapy might provide an effective and specific means for altering intracavernous pressure ＂on demand＂ without affecting resting penile function. However, the safety of gene therapy remains a major hurdle to overcome before being accepted as a mainstream treatment for ED. Gene therapy aims to cure the underlying conditions in ED, including fibrosis. Furthermore, gene therapy might help prolong the efficacy of the PDE5 inhibitors by improving penile nitric oxide bioactivity. It is feasible to apply gene therapy to the penis because of its location and accessibility, low penile circulatory flow in the flaccid state and the presence of endothelial lined （lacunar） spaces. This review provides a brief insight of the current role of gene therapy in the management of ED.

Objective The study aimed to synthesize and characterize pyrimidine-linked benzimidazole hybrids,define their antimicrobial and antifungal activities in vitro,and determine their ability to inhibit the main protease and spike glycoprotein of *** The ability of the synthesized compounds to inhibit the main protease and spike glycoprotein inhibitory of sARs-CoV-2 was investigated by assessing their mode of binding to the allosteric site of the enzyme using molecular *** structures of pyrimidine-linked benzimidazole derivatives synthesized with microwave assistance were confirmed by spectral *** and antifungal activities were determined by broth *** Gram-negative bateria(Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa)were more sensitive than gram-positive bateria(staphylococcus aureus and streptococcus pyogenes)to the *** albicans was sensitive to the derivatives at a minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC)of 250μg/*** novel derivatives had better binding affinity(kcal/mol)than nelfinavir,lopinavir,ivermectin,remdesivir,and favipiravir,which are under investigation as treatment for sARs-CoV-2 *** 2c,2e,and 2g formed four hydrogen bonds with the active cavity of the main *** derivatives had good binding affinity for the RBD of the of sARs-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein with the formation of up to four hydrogen *** We synthesized novel pyrimidine-linked benzi-midazole derivatives that were potent antimicrobial agents with ability to inhibit the sARs-CoV-2 spike *** the pharmacophore features of the main protease and spike glycoprotein offers much scope for the development of more potent *** plan to optimize the properties of the derivatives using models in vivo and in vitro so that they will serve as more effective therapeutic options against bacterial and sARs-CoV-2 infections.

This study focused,for the first time,on the effect of ultrasonic features on the extraction efficiency of secondary metabolites in mustard seed cake(MsC).The nematostatic potential of sonicated seed cake was examined against the second-stage juveniles(J2s)of root-knot nematode,Meloidogyne *** results show that a 35 ppm(parts per million)concentration of a sonicated extract(sE)sample of MsC caused 65%J2s mortality at 18 h exposure period in *** also significantly suppressed the root-knot index(RKI=0.94)in tomato *** lethal concentration values for sE were 51.76,29.79,and 13.34 ppm,respectively,at 6,12,and 18 h of the exposure period,and the lethal concentration values for the non-sonicated extract(NsE)sample were 116.95,76.38,and 55.59 ppm,respectively,at similar exposure *** and gluconapin were identified as the major compounds in ultrasonic-assisted *** of the high extraction efficiency of metabolites in the sE,all treat‐ments of sE were shown to be antagonistic to ***,this study of ultrasonication activity-based profiling of MsC may help generate target-based compounds at a scale relevant to the control of disease caused by nematodes in economic crops.

Perinatal arterial ischemic stroke and multiple thrombo-emboli in a term newborn

The etiology of perinatal arterial ischemic strokes may be maternal, fetal or both. Venous thrombo-embolism is almost always catheter associated in new-borns. Preliminary guidelines for management of perinatal arterial ischemic strokes exist but are mostly based on adult studies. We report a unique case of perinatal arterial ischemic stroke, lower extremity arterial and inferior vena-caval thrombosis. Our patient was treated with unfractionated heparin for 10 days then switched to low molecular heparin to complete 6 months of therapy. The patient responded well to therapy and shows minimal signs of permanent neurologic deficits after 6 months.
