White blood cells(WBCs)are a vital part of the immune system that protect the body from different types of bacteria and *** cell growth destroys the body’s immune system,and computerized methods play a vital role in detecting abnormalities at the initial *** this research,a deep learning technique is proposed for the detection of *** proposed methodology consists of three *** I uses an open neural network exchange(ONNX)and YOLOv2 to localize *** localized images are passed to Phase II,in which 3D-segmentation is performed using deeplabv3 as a base network of the pre-trained Xception *** segmented images are used in Phase III,in which features are extracted using the darknet-53 model and optimized using Bhattacharyya separately criteria to classify *** proposed methodology is validated on three publically available benchmark datasets,namely ALL-IDB1,ALL-IDB2,and LIsC,in terms of different metrics,such as precision,accuracy,sensitivity,and dice *** results of the proposed method are comparable to those of recent existing methodologies,thus proving its effectiveness.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of self-medication behavior among practicing pharmacists in UAE. Methods: This anonymous questionnaire-based study was conducted between October and December 2014, using a prepiloted questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed to a total of 168 pharmacists. Data were analyzed using sPss and results were expressed as number of respondents and percentage of total participants. Results: The questionnaire was completed by 149 pharmacists, and response rate was 89% with 53% of respondents being Arabs. Out of the 149 pharmacists respondents, 71 (47.7%) are males, and 78 (52.3%) are females. The mean age among pharmacists was 28. Large number of pharmacists practiced self-medication (96.6%). The majority obtained their medication from pharmacies (92.6%). Most respondents were aware of bacterial resistance and the concept of rational drug use. However, 69 (43%) of pharmacists had used antibiotics without consultation in the past year. The main reasons for self-medication were that their health problem is not serious (42%) and their knowledge on drugs and diseases helps (31%). Reasons against self-medication included risk of misdiagnosis of illness and risk of adverse effects. Pharmacists tended to seek medical consultation mostly in case of symptoms lasting for more than one week or when symptoms were worsening. Discussion: The frequency of self-medication among pharmacists is high. The professional exposure to drugs and knowledge of illness and treatment choice remains the fundamental contributors to self-medication practice among pharmacists. Interventions to promote rational self-medication among practicing pharmacists are required and pharmacists must be encouraged to enter the patient role.

Environmental degradation is one of the most debatable topics at international forums and it is considered a prime concern for the entire ***,researchers and policymakers have turned their attention from conventional economic growth to green *** the existing literature has discussed several determinants of green growth,the impact of economic policy uncertainty(EPU),renewable energy consumption(RENE),and institutional quality(IQ)on green growth(GGDP)is relatively ***,this study is the earliest attempt to investigate the impact of EPU,IQ,and RENE on GGDP for emerging seven(E-7)countries from 1996 to *** doing so,we apply panel quantile regression(PQR).The empirical findings delineate that EPU has a negative impact on GGDP,whereas IQ and RENE enhance the GGDP in E-7 *** on the outcomes,this study suggests policy implications for achieving targets of the sDG 07,sDG 08,sDG 13,and sDG *** governments of these countries can achieve higher GGDP by ensuring political stability and reliable macroeconomic policies and through making such flexible policies that can easily control or address unpredictable future economic issues.

Fruit diseases seriously affect the production of the agricultural sector,which builds financial pressure on the country’s *** manual inspection of fruit diseases is a chaotic process that is both time and cost-consuming since it involves an accurate manual inspection by an ***,it is essential that an automated computerised approach is developed to recognise fruit diseases based on leaf *** to the literature,many automated methods have been developed for the recognition of fruit diseases at the early ***,these techniques still face some challenges,such as the similar symptoms of different fruit diseases and the selection of irrelevant *** processing and deep learning techniques have been extremely successful in the last decade,but there is still room for improvement due to these ***,we propose a novel computerised approach in this work using deep learning and featuring an ant colony optimisation(ACO)based *** proposed method consists of four fundamental steps:data augmentation to solve the imbalanced dataset,fine-tuned pretrained deep learning models(NasNetMobile andMobileNet-V2),the fusion of extracted deep features using matrix length,and finally,a selection of the best features using a hybrid ACO and a Neighbourhood Component Analysis(NCA).The best-selected features were eventually passed to many classifiers for final *** experimental process involved an augmented dataset and achieved an average accuracy of 99.7%.Comparison with existing techniques showed that the proposed method was effective.

Antibacterial Action of Chemically synthesized and Laser Generated silver Nanoparticles against Human Pathogenic Bacteria

silver nanoparticles in the range of 10-40 nm were synthesized chemically and by laser ablation, em- ployed for in vitro antibacterial action against human pathogenic bacterium. Their formation was evidenced by UV-visible spectrophotometer; particle size confirmed by atomic force microscopy, crystal structure determined by X-ray diffraction and chemical composition investigated by Fourier transform infrared spec- troscopy. The calculated MIC （minimum inhibitory concentration） of chemically synthesized nanoparticles with 30-40 nm in size are 2.8 μg/mL 4.37 μg/mL 13.5μg/mL and 2.81 p.g/mL for E. coil, s. aureus, B. subtillis and salmonella, respectively. Whereas laser ablated nanoparticles exhibit MIC of 2.10 μg/mL 2.36 μg/ mL and 2.68 μg/mL for E. coli, s. aureus and salmonella, respectively.

The goal of this study is to investigate the possibility of using the Irbid city clayey soil as compacted clay liner. The geotechnical properties and the permeability characteristics of compacted clayey soil sample obtained from the eastern part of Irbid city were determined to evaluate their suitability as compacted clay liner. Falling head permeability test, unconfined compressive strength and volumetric shrinkage test were conducted on soil samples that were compacted at about 0% and 3% wet of its optimum water content. The leakage rates expected through clay-only and composite geomembrane-clay liners were determined. It could be concluded based on the results of the geotechnical tests and leachate rate calculations that Irbid clay is appropriate to be used as compacted landfill liner material.

Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy allows the study of cellular biochemistry and metabolism, both in the whole body in vivo and at higher magnetic field strengths in vitro. since the technique is non-invasive and non-selective, magnetic resonance spectroscopy methodologies have been widely applied in biochemistry and medicine. In vitro magnetic resonance spectroscopy studies of cells, body fluids and tissues have been used in medical biochemistry to investigate pathophysiologi- cal processes and more recently, the technique has been used by physicians to determine disease abnormalities in vivo. This highlighted topic illustrates the potential of in vitro magnetic resonance spectroscopy in studying the hepatobiliary system. The role of in vitro proton and phosphorus magnetic resonance spectroscopy in the study of malignant and non-malignant liver disease and bile composition studies are discussed, particularly with reference to correlative in vivo whole-body magnetic resonance spectroscopy applications. In summary, magnetic resonance spectroscopy techniques can provide non-invasive biochemical information on disease severity and pointers to underlying pathophysiological processes. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy holds potential promise as a screening tool for disease biomarkers, as well as assessing therapeutic response.

Wireless Capsule Endoscopy(WCE)is an imaging technology,widely used in medical imaging for stomach infection ***,a one patient procedure takes almost seven to eight minutes and approximately 57,000 frames are *** privacy of patients is very important and manual inspection is time consuming and ***,an automated system for recognition of stomach infections from WCE frames is always *** existing block chain-based approach is employed in a convolutional neural network model to secure the network for accurate recognition of stomach infections such as ulcer and ***,images are normalized in fixed dimension and passed in pre-trained deep *** architectures are modified at each layer,to make them safer and more *** layer contains an extra block,which stores certain information to avoid possible tempering,modification attacks and layer *** is stored in multiple blocks,i.e.,block attached to each layer,a ledger block attached with the network,and a cloud ledger block stored in the cloud *** that,features are extracted and fused using a Mode value-based approach and optimized using a Genetic Algorithm along with an entropy *** softmax classifier is applied at the end for final *** are performed on a private collected dataset and achieve an accuracy of 96.8%.The statistical analysis and individual model comparison show the proposed method’s authenticity.

In nuclear power plants, steam generators are important parts. This paper introduces a U-tube steam generator (UTsG) model implemented completely using MATLAB environment. The UTsG consists of four regions: upward and downward primary regions, upward and downward metal tube regions, and secondary regions, which contain heat transfer region, steam separation region, and subcooled water region. Governing equations are derived by applying energy and mass conservation equations in all regions. Accurate functions that describe the relationships between thermodynamic properties of the saturated steam are introduced instead of interpolation method that is widely used. steady state and one transient case are presented as well.
