BACKGROUND Many studies evaluated magnification endoscopy(ME)to correlate changes on the gastric mucosal surface with Helicobacter pylori(***)***,few studies validated these concepts with high-definition endoscopy without *** To access the association between mucosal surface pattern under near focus technology and *** infection status in a western *** Cross-sectional study including all patients referred to routine upper *** exams were performed using standard high definition(s-HD)followed by near focus(NF-HD)*** of erythema,erosion,atrophy,and nodularity were recorded during s-HD,and surface mucosal pattern was classified using NF-HD in the gastric *** were taken for rapid urease test and *** One hundred and eighty-seven patients were analyzed from August to November *** those,47(25.1%)were ***+,and 42(22.5%)had a previous *** *** the examination with s-HD,erythema had the best sensitivity for *** detection(80.9%).Exudate(99.3%),nodularity(97.1%),and atrophy(95.7%)demonstrated better specificity values,but with low sensitivity(6.4%-19.1%).On the other hand,the absence of erythema was strongly associated with ***-(negative predictive value=92%).With NF-HD,56.2%of patients presented type 1 pattern(regular arrangement of collecting venules,RAC),and only 5.7%of RAC+patients were ***+.The loss of RAC presented 87.2%sensitivity for *** detection,70.7%specificity,50%positive predictive value,and 94.3%negative predictive value,indicating that loss of RAC was suboptimal to confirm *** infection,but when RAC was seen,*** infection was *** The presence of RAC at the NF-HD exam and the absence of erythema at s-HD were highly predictive of *** negative *** the other hand,the loss of RAC had a suboptimal correlation with the presence of ***.

Background: COVID-19 has caused a large number of deaths, in the elderly. In this situation, vaccines have been considered the main strategy to combat COVID-19 and were developed worldwide in 2020. One problem with COVID-19 vaccination is side effects after vaccination. In this report, we identify the relationship between side effects and elevation of antibodies as determined by monitoring several kinds of antibodies against COVID-19. Objective: We investigated whether the antibody level changed depending on side effects after COVID-19 vaccination. Methods: Healthy volunteers, who received two vaccinations between 10 March and 7 May 2021, were collected for this study. Information including age, gender, smoking history, medical history including allergies and side reactions after vaccination was obtained by questionnaire. serum levels of antibodies of IgG and IgM against each s1, sP, and NP antigens of COVID-19 were evaluated frequently for 3 - 4 months after the first vaccination. Result: Ten employees working at Iwate Medical University were evaluated in this study. side effects were observed in 7 of 10 patients, and grade 2 side effects in all 3 patients with a history of allergic disease. serum s1 and sP IgG were elevated sufficiently in all patients. In all patients, IgG antibody titers fell below the cutoff point in approximately 3 months. No cases had elevated NP antibodies. sP IgM was elevated in three cases;all three cases with elevated IgM had allergic disease and the degree of side effects was relatively higher. subjects with long-lasting elevated sPIgM were observed. Conclusion: s1 IgG and sP IgG exceeded the cutoff in all subjects after vaccination but decreased below the cutoff in all subjects within 4 months, regardless of side effects or allergic history. On the other hand, elevated sPIgM was suspected to be related to side effects and history of allergies, and cases with persistent elevation of sPIgM were observed.

AIM To examine the result of the use of 0.025-inch guidewire(GW) Visi Glide2 TM as the first choice in the endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)-related procedures without selecting the patient in a multicenter prospective study. METHODs ERCP using 0.025-inch GW VisiGlide2^(TM) as the first choice was conducted in patients who have needed ERCP, and its accomplishment rate of procedure, procedural time, incidence of accidental symptoms were compared with those of ERCP using 0.025-inch GW VisiG *** The accomplishment rate of procedure was 97.5%(197/202), and procedural time was 23.930 ± 16.207 min. The accomplishment rate of procedure using 0.025-inch GW Visi GlideTM was 92.3%(183/195), and procedural time was 31.285 ± 19.122 min, thus the accomplishment rate of procedure was significantly improved and procedural time was significantly shortened(P symptoms by ERCPrelated procedures were observed in 3.0%(6/202), and all were conservatively alleviated. CONCLUsION When 0.025-inch GW VisiG lide2 TM was used for ERCPrelated procedure as the first choice, it showed high accomplishment rate of procedure and low incidence of accidental symptoms, suggesting it can be used as the universal GW. In total hip arthroplasty, judgment of the appropriateness of stem hammering is dependent on the experience and feelings of the surgeon and no objective evaluation method has been established. In this study, a frequency analysis of the hammering sounds in total hip arthroplasty was performed to investigate objective judgment criteria capable of preventing problems during surgery. stem hammering was applied following the surgeon’s feelings as usual in an operating room. A directional microphone was placed at a distance about 2 m from the surgical field and the peak frequency reaching the maximum amplitude was determined by Fourier analysis. It was clarified that the same peak frequency repeats when appropriate fixation is acquired during surgery, suggesting that intraoperative fracture and postoperative loosening can be prevented by stopping hammering at the time the peak frequency converged. Investigation of changes in the hammering sound frequency may serve as objective judgment criteria capable of preventing problems during surgery.

本文介绍一种根据应力波理论预测桩的动承载力的新方法。有关测量桩侧及极端阻力的应用方法及理论根据也分别予以讨论。虽然CAsE法和CAFWAP分析法已广泛应用于预测桩的承载力,但并未考虑桩的频率特牲。由于锤击力的频率和桩的反射波频率彼此存在很大的差异,在打桩过程中用CAsE法难以预测土的阻力。将桩的响应频率低的同样测量频率用于入射波和反射波,以预测打桩时上的阻力。结果发现,本文所述方法与CAPWAP分析法预测的承载力几乎相等。

The North Coastal Region of the state of s?o Paulo, which comprises the Municipalities of Caraguatatuba, s?o sebasti?o, Ilhabela and Ubatuba, is one of the most prone to flooding and debris flow deposition Brazilian areas, owing to hydrological extreme rainfall events usually coupled with extreme tidal levels. This risk is also high due to human lives and material assets, with increasing population rates and the establishment of large companies such as the Oil industry, with reduced defense/prevention measures and *** catastrophic scenario of the city of Caraguatatuba, in March 1967, resulting from one of the most serious natural disasters in Brazil, fosters discussions about probabilities of heavy rainfall-caused events and rise in the sea level in coastal areas. Hence, this research is a consequence of this reality. The research is founded on an innovative methodology based on the analysis of past data of rainfall and tidal stations, complemented with debris flow registers in the region of the north coastal zone of the state of s?o Paulo (Brazil). The anaysis developed involved the meteorological, hydraulic, geotechnical and statistical knowledge *** results are intended to be used for urban planning, designs of macro-drainage, fluvial, maritime projects and debris flow retention structures. These practical applications will then associate the probability of occurrence of certain types of heavy rainfall-caused events such as flooding or debris flow coupled with a corresponding increase in tidal levels.

Head Position of Patients with Right Hemisphere Damage during a Visual search Task in a Large Field

spatial neglect syndrome with cerebral lesions is characterized by the ina-bility to orient, report, or respond to relevant visual stimuli contralateral to the lesions. In this study, we investigated the pattern of horizontal visual search in a large space;this search was performed by patients with right hemisphere damage caused by cerebrovascular disease. The neck rotation angle and search time in each increment were continuously recorded during the task, and quantitative data of the measurements were collected. Head position during the visual search task in a large space (%) was then calculated. We set angular bands in increments of 5 degrees from the midline on the left and right sides, and calculated the total search time in each angular band. In patients with unilateral spatial neglect (UsN), the search time in the angular band of 5 - 9 on the right side was significantly longer (with UsN 16.7%, without UsN 4.5%, t = 2.52, df = 16, p s with neglect in the leftmost end area in a large space, the search time was significantly shorter in the angular band of 1 - 4 degrees to the left (with neglect 13.1%, without neglect 23.7%, t = 2.13, df = 16, p search task in a large field deviated slightly to the right, and the search time slightly to the left was short. We believe that these results support the rightward deviation of the search pattern and frame of UsN patients.
