Etiology of invasive candidosis agents in Russia： a multicenter epidemiological survey

A multicenter prospective epidemiological survey on the etiologic agents of invasive candidosis was conducted in Russia in the period of 2012-2014. samples were collected from 284 patients with invasive candidosis and Candida species isolated by culture. The species were identified by DNA sequencing and mALDI-TOF mass- spectrometry. A total of 322 isolates were recovered, in which 96% of Candida species belonged to six major species, namely, C. albicans （43.2%）, C. parapsilosis （20.2%）, C. glabrata （11.5%）, C. tropicalis （9.6%）, C. krusei （6.2%）, and C. guilliermondii （5.3%）. most Candida species were isolated from blood samples （83.23%）. Notably, the prevalence rate of C. albicans reduced from 52.38% to 32.79% （2012 vs. 2014）（P = 0.01） whereas that of non-C. albicans increased from 47.62% （2012） to 67.21% （2014）（P〈 0.01）. species distribution differed among geographical regions; specifically, the prevalence rate of C. albicans as an etiologic agent of invasive candidosis in siberian Federal region was significantly higher than that in other Federal regions. Results indicated a shift from C. albicans to non-C, albicans. Therefore, a detailed investigation on the contributing factors and appropriate treatment of invasive candidosis is needed.

Graded levels of sugar syrup in broiler rations and its effect on growth performance and blood biochemical parameters

Dietary energy for chickens normally includes cereal grains and fat. This innovative study investigated the effect of replacing part of the corn and fat in broiler chicken rations with graded levels of sugar syrup on growth performance and biochemical parameters. Experimental treatments consisted of feeding a corn-soy basal diet alone, or with graded levels of sugar syrup in increments of 5%, 10% and 15%. All starter diets were isonitrogenous and isocaloric. Body weight gain and efficiency of feed utilization of chicks fed the control diet alone were not significantly(P m chicks fed diets supplemented with either 5% or 15% sugar syrup. supplementation of sugar syrup to broiler diets had no significant effect on blood glucose, creatinine, total protein, or liver enzymes. Adding 5% sugar syrup to broiler rations significantly decreased blood cholesterol and triglycerides in chickens fed the sugar syrup diet compared with birds fed the control diet. In conclusion, the results shows sugar syrup can be used in poultry ration to replace part of the corn as a source of energy. These results allowed the authors to recommend the safe usage of sugar syrup in broiler rations.

Rubidium(Rb)deposits mostly occur in the south China and Central Asia orogenic belts and are often closely associated with highly differentiated *** study investigates a newly-discovered giant Rb deposit at Gariatong in the Central Lhasa terrane in *** field studies and logging data revealed that the Rb mineralization mainly occurs in monzogranite and is related to ***-ICP-ms U-Pb dating of zircon yielded ages of 19.1±0.2 ma and 19.0±0.2 ma for greisenized monzogranite and fresh monzogranite,*** monzogranites are characterized as strongly peraluminous,with high contents of siO2,Al2O3,K2O and Na2O as well as a high differentiation *** are enriched in light rare earth and large ion lithophile elements with significant negative Eu anomalies and depleted high fieldstrength *** and geochemical features of these ore-related monzogranites suggest that they are highly fractionated s-type granites,derived from remelting of crustal materials in a post-collisional *** geochemistry of zircon and apatite points to a low oxygen fugacity of the ore-related monzogranite during the magma’s *** discovery of the Gariatong Rb deposit suggests that the Central Lhasa terrane may be an important region for rare metal mineralization.

Recently,COVID-19 has posed a challenging threat to researchers,scientists,healthcare professionals,and administrations over the globe,from its diagnosis to its *** researchers are making persistent efforts to derive probable solutions formanaging the pandemic in their *** of the widespread and effective ways to detect COVID-19 is to utilize radiological images comprising X-rays and computed tomography(CT)*** the same time,the recent advances in machine learning(mL)and deep learning(DL)models show promising results in medical ***,the convolutional neural network(CNN)model can be applied to identifying abnormalities on chest *** the epidemic of COVID-19,much research is led on processing the data compared with DL techniques,particularly *** study develops an improved fruit fly optimization with a deep learning-enabled fusion(IFFO-DLEF)model for COVID-19 detection and *** major intention of the IFFO-DLEF model is to investigate the presence or absence of *** do so,the presented IFFODLEF model applies image pre-processing at the initial *** addition,the ensemble of three DL models such as DenseNet169,EfficientNet,and ResNet50,are used for feature ***,the IFFO algorithm with a multilayer perceptron(mLP)classification model is utilized to identify and classify *** parameter optimization of the mLP approach utilizing the IFFO technique helps in accomplishing enhanced classification *** experimental result analysis of the IFFO-DLEF model carried out on the CXR image database portrayed the better performance of the presented IFFO-DLEF model over recent approaches.

Temperature-Dependent Viscosity Effects on Non-Darcy Hydrodynamic Free Convection Heat Transfer from a Vertical Wedge in Porous media

An analysis is presented to investigate the effect of temperature-dependent viscosity on free convection flow along a vertical wedge adjacent to a porous medium in the presence of heat generation or absorption. The governing fundamental equations are transformed into the system of ordinary differential equations using scaling group of transformations and are solved numerically by using the fifth-order Rung-Kutta method with shooting technique for various values of the physical parameters. The effects of variable viscosity parameter on the velocity, temperature and concentration are discussed. Numerical results for the problem considered are given and illustrated graphically.

AIm： Anti-saccharomyces anti-nuclear associated cerevisiae antibodies （AsCA）, anti-neutrophil antibodies （NANA） and antibodies to exocrine pancreas （PAB）, are serological tools for discriminating Crohn＇s disease （CrD） and ulcerative colitis （UC）. Like CrD, coeliac disease （COD） is an inflammatory bowel disease （IBD） associated with （auto） antibodies. Performing a multicenter study we primarily aimed to determine the performance of AsCA, NANA and PAB tests for IBD diagnosis in children and adults, and secondarily to evaluate the prevalence of these markers in CoD. mETHODs： sera of 109 patients with CrD, 78 with UC, 45 with CoD and 50 healthy blood donors were retrospectively included. AsCA, NANA and PAB were detected by indirect immunofluorescence （IIF）. REsULTs： AsCA＋/NANA- profile displayed a positive predictive value of 94.2% for CrD. Detection of AsCA was correlated with a more severe clinical profile of CrD and treatment of the disease did not influence their serum levels. AsCA positivity was found in 37.9% of active *** were found in 36.7% CrD and 13.3% CoD patients and were not correlated with clinical features of CrD, except with an early onset of the disease. Fifteen CrD patients were AsCA negative and PAB positive. CONCLUsION： AsCA and PAB detected by IIF are specific markers for CrD although their presence does not rule out a possible active CoD. The combination of AsCA, NANA and PAB tests improves the sensitivity of immunological markers for CrD. Repeating AsCA, NANA, and PAB testing during the course of CrD has no clinical value.

Phytochemical and in vitro biological investigations of methanolic extracts of Enhydra fluctuans Lour

Objective:To study the phytochemical and biological properties(antioxidant,anthelmintic and thrombolytic)of methanolic extracts of Enhydra fluctuant Lour.,a plant belonging to the Asteraceae ***:The phytochemical evaluation was carried out by qualitative *** vitro antioxidant activity of extract was studied using free radical scavenging assay,ability of reduction,total phenol and total flavonoid contents determination *** anthelmintic activity was determined using paralysis and death time of Pheretima posthuma(earthworm)and thrombolytic activity by clot disruption ***:The phytochemical evaluation showed significant presence of flavonoids,triterpenes,carbohydrate,reducing sugars,saponins,phenols,diterpenes,protein and *** antioxidant activity was found significant[IC_(50)(135.20±036)μg/mL]as compared to ascorbic acid[(130.00±0.76)μg/mL].The reducing power was increased with *** phenol and total flavonoid contents were(153.08±0.38)mg/mL and(172.04±0.56)mg/mL *** paralysis and death time of earthworms for different concentrations of extract were determined and compared with *** results showed that 10 mg/mL of the crude extract had similar effect with ***,the crude extract showed a concentration depended relationship with its anthelmintic *** clot lysis activity of crude extract was compared to the standard streptokinase's clot lysis(40.13%)activity and found significant(31%).Conclusions:The study proves that the crude methanolic extract of Enhydra fluctuant Lour,has significant antioxidant,anthelmintic and thrombolytic activity containing wide range of phytochemicals.
