Efficient Polytelluride Anchoring for Ultralong-Life Potassium storage: Combined Physical Barrier and Chemisorption in Nanogrid-in-Nanofiber

Metal tellurides(MTes) are highly attractive as promising anodes for high-performance potassium-ion batteries. The capacity attenuation of most reported MTe anodes is attributed to their poor electrical conductivity and large volume variation. The evolution mechanisms, dissolution properties, and corresponding manipulation strategies of intermediates(K-polytellurides, K-pTe_(x)) are rarely mentioned. Herein,we propose a novel structural engineering strategy to confine ultrafine CoTe_(2) nanodots in hierarchical nanogrid-in-nanofiber carbon substrates(CoTe_(2)@NC@NsPCNFs) for smooth immobilization of K-pTe_(x) and highly reversible conversion of CoTe_(2) by manipulating the intense electrochemical reaction process. Various in situ/ex situ techniques and density functional theory calculations have been performed to clarify the formation, transformation, and dissolution of K-pTe_(x)(K_(5)Te_(3) and K_(2)Te), as well as verifying the robust physical barrier and the strong chemisorption of K_(5)Te_(3) and K_(2)Te on s, N co-doped dual-type carbon substrates. Additionally, the hierarchical nanogrid-in-nanofiber nanostructure increases the chemical anchoring sites for K-pTe_(x), provides sufficient volume buffer space, and constructs highly interconnected conductive microcircuits, further propelling the battery reaction to new heights(3500 cycles at 2.0 A g^(-1)). Furthermore, the full cells further demonstrate the potential for practical applications. This work provides new insights into manipulating K-pTe_(x) in the design of ultralong-cycling MTe anodes for advanced PIBs.

Cutting tools are known as the“productivity”of the manufacturing industry,which affects the production efficiency and quality of the workpiece,and has become the focus of research and attention in academia and ***,traditional cutting tools often suffer from adhesion or wear during the cutting process,which considerably reduces the cutting efficiency and service life of the tools,and makes it difficult to meet current production *** solve the above problems,scholars have introduced bionics into the tool’s design,applying the microscopic structure of the biological surface to the tool surface to alleviate the tool’s *** paper mainly summarizes the research progress of bionic textured cutting ***,categorize whether the bionic texture design is inspired by a single organism or multiple ***,it is discussed that the non-smooth surface of the biological surface has five characteristics:hydrophilic lubricity,wear resistance,drag reduction and hydrophobicity,anti-adhesion,and arrangement,and the non-smooth structure of these different characteristics are applied to the surface of the tool is designed with bionic ***,the cutting performance of bionic textured cutting tools is *** anti-friction and wear-resisting mechanism of bionic textured cutting tools is ***,some pending problems and perspectives have been proposed to provide new inspirations for the design of bionic textured cutting tools.

Radical involved reactive wetting and retarding mechanism of alumina refractory ceramic by molten slags under weak static magnetic field

Detection of Nonlinear Behavior Induced by Hard Limiting in Voltage source Converters in Wind Farms Based on Higher-order spectral Analysis

In recent years, sub-synchronous oscillation accidents caused by wind power integration have received extensive attention. The recorded constant-amplitude waveforms can be induced by either linear or nonlinear oscillation mechanisms. Hence, the nonlinear behavior needs to be distinguished prior to choosing the analysis method. since the 1960s, the higher-order statistics(HOs) theory has become a powerful tool for the detection of nonlinear behavior(DNB) in production quality control wherein it has mainly been applied to mechanical condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. This study focuses on the hard limiters of the voltage source converter(VsC) control systems in the wind farms and attempts to detect the nonlinear behavior caused by bi-or uni-lateral saturation hard limiting using the HOs analysis. First, the conventional describing function is extended to obtain the detailed frequency domain information on the bi-and uni-lateral saturation hard limiting. Furthermore, the bi-and tri-spectra are introduced as the HOs, which are extended into bi-and tri-coherence spectra to eliminate the effects of the linear parts on the harmonic characteristics of hard limiting in the VsC control system, respectively. The effectiveness of the HOs in the DNB and the classification of the hard-limiting types is proven, and its detailed derivation and estimation procedure is presented. Finally, the quadratic and cubic phase coupling in the signals is illustrated, and the performance of the proposed method is evaluated and discussed.

Multiple Nanoparticles Coupling strategy for Enhancing Optical Filter Performance of spectral splitter Used in Photovoltaic/Thermal system

selective absorptive nanofluid can pre-absorb certain sunlight wavelength that cannot be used by PV and transmits remaining sunlight to the surface of PV,which can decouple PV from the thermal receiver *** order to improve the harvesting of electricity and high-temperature thermal nanofluid,it is important to design an optimal optical filter window(transmit sunlight with wavelengths of 732-1067 nm to the surface of the photovoltaic cell and absorb the remaining sunlight).However,designing optimal optical filter is facing following challenges:(1) inherently narrow selective absorptivity property of single nanoparticle;(2) simplified numerical calculation method calculating transmittance;(3) ignoring the shape of the *** this study,the idea of using multiple nanoparticles coupling effect to design an optical filter is proposed,which can superimpose the narrow absorption bandwidth of different nanoparticles to obtain a wide absorption bandwidth of the whole *** addition,an improved transmission method considering light-matter interaction at air/vessel and liquid/vessel interfaces is adopted to compute the *** results calculated by improved transmission method are more accurate than widely used traditional Lambert-Beer law,which is verified by experimental ***,the effect of nanoparticle shape on spectral transmittance is also investigated,which shows that spiny Ag can approximately extend absorbance from 400 nm to 600 nm compared to nanosphere ***,the results show that optical filter efficiency of nanofluids with multiple nanoparticles coupling(Ag,spiny Ag,ZnO,ITO) can reached up to 35%.

Cement-based materials are fundamental in the construction industry,and enhancing their properties is an ongoing *** use of superabsorbent polymers(sAP)has gained significant attention as a possible way to improve the performance of cement-based materials due to their unique water-absorption and retention *** study investigates the multifaceted impact of kaolin intercalation-modified superabsorbent polymers(K-sAP)on the properties of cement *** results show that K-sAP significantly affects the cement mortar’s rheological behavior,with distinct phases of water absorption and release,leading to changes in workability over ***,K-sAP alters the hydration kinetics,delaying the exothermic peak of hydration and subsequently modifying the heat release ***,K-sAP effectively maintains a higher internal relative humidity within the mortar,reducing the autogenous shrinkage ***,K-sAP can have a beneficial effect on pore structure and this can be ascribed to the internal curing effect of released water from K-sAP.

Weakly Polarized Organic Cation-Modified Hydrated Vanadium Oxides for High-Energy Efficiency Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries

Vanadium oxides,par-ticularly hydrated forms like V_(2)O_(5)·nH_(2)O(VOH),stand out as promising cathode candidates for aqueous zinc ion batteries due to their adjustable layered structure,unique electronic characteristics,and high theoretical ***,challenges such as vanadium dissolution,sluggish Zn^(2+)diffusion kinetics,and low operating voltage still hinder their direct *** this study,we present a novel vanadium oxide([C_(6)H_(6)N(CH_(3))_(3)]_(1.08)V_(8)O_(20)·0.06H_(2)O,TMPA-VOH),developed by pre-inserting trimethylphenylammonium(TMPA+)cations into *** incorporation of weakly polarized organic cations capitalizes on both ionic pre-intercalation and molecular pre-intercalation effects,resulting in a phase and morphology transition,an expansion of the interlayer distance,extrusion of weakly bonded interlayer water,and a substantial increase in V^(4+)*** modifications synergistically reduce the electrostatic interactions between Zn^(2+)and the V-O lattice,enhancing structural stability and reaction kinetics during *** a result,TMPA-VOH achieves an elevated open circuit voltage and operation voltage,exhibits a large specific capacity(451 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1))coupled with high energy efficiency(89%),the significantly-reduced battery polarization,and outstanding rate capability and cycling *** concept introduced in this study holds great promise for the development of high-performance oxide-based energy storage materials.

Characterization of size-resolved effective density of atmospheric particles in an urban atmosphere in southern China

Effective density(ρ_(eff))is one of the most important physical properties of atmospheric particles,providing important references in exploring the emissions and aging processes of fresh *** this study,a combined system of differential mobility analyzer,centrifugal particle mass analyzer,and condensation particle counter was used to periodically measure theρ_(eff)of atmospheric particles in shenzhen from Oct.2021 to *** showed that theρ_(eff)of particles with various size presented a bimodal distribution,which could be divided into main density(ρ_(m),main peak,corresponding to relatively dense particles after aging)and sub density(ρ_(s),sub peak,corresponding to fresh particles).The occurrence frequencies ofρ_(s)of particles with diameters of 50 and 80 nm were less than 20%,but were as high as about 40%of that with diameters from 120 to 350 ***ρ_(m)showed increasing trend with the size of particles,whileρ_(s)decreased as the increasing of the size of ***ρ_(eff)on pollution day varied significantly with chemical *** increasing of the proportion of sulfate could promote the increasing ofρ_(eff),while black carbon and organic matter caused opposite effects,which may be related to various factors,including the difference of the material density and morphology of various chemical ***ρ_(eff)of 50,80 and 120 nm particles decreased considerably during the new particle formation event,indicating that organic condensation was an important contributor to new particle growth.
