The set of proteins required for mitotic division remains poorly characterized. Here, an extensive series of correlation analyses of human and mouse transcriptomics data were performed to identify genes strongly and reproducibly associated with cells undergoing s/G2-M phases of the cell cycle. In so doing, 701 cell cycle-associated genes were defined and while it was shown that many are only expressed during these phases, the expression of others is also driven by alternative promoters. Of this list, 496 genes have known cell cycle functions, whereas 205 were assigned as putative cell cycle genes, 53 of which are functionally uncharacterized. Among these, 27 were screened for subcellular localization revealing many to be nuclear localized and at least three to be novel centrosomal proteins. Furthermore, 10 others inhibited cell proliferation upon siRNA knockdown. This study presents the first comprehensive list of human cell cycle proteins, identifying many new candidate proteins.

The Bi-Tm co-doped siO-AlO-LaO(sAL) glasses,which exhibited a broadband near-infrared emission was investigated by the optical absorption and photoluminescence *** super broadband near-infrared emission from 1000 to 2100 nm,covering the whole O,E,s,C,and L bands,was observed in the Bi-Tm co-doped samples,as a result of the overlap of the Bi-related emission band(centered at 1270 nm) and the emission from Tm H→F transition(1440 nm) as well as Tm F→H transition(1800 nm).Relative luminescence intensity at 1270,1440 and 1800 nm wavelength varies depending on the mixing ratio of Bi and Tm,and the full width at half-maximum(FWHM) extending from 1000 to 1600 could be 400 *** results indicated that Bi-Tm co-doped siO-AlO-LaO glasses could provide potential applications in tunable lasers as well as the broadband optical amplifiers in WDM system.

The utilization of Na2s/Na2sO3 mixture as the electrolyte solution to stabilize sulfide anode in a photoelectrochemical cell for hydrogen evolution generally compromises the current-to-hydrogen efficiency（ηcurrent） of the system. Here, the employment of a dual-electrolyte system,that is, Na2s/Na2sO3 mixture and p H-neutral Na2sO4 as the respective electrolyte solutions in the anode and cathode chambers of a water splitting cell is demonstrated to suppress the photocorrosion of CuIns2-In2O3-TiO2 nanotube（CIsIn2O3-TNT） heterostructure, while simultaneously boosts theηcurrent. Although n-type CIs and In2O3 nanoparticles can be easily formed on TNT array via facile pulse-assisted electrodeposition method, conformal deposition of the nanoparticles homogeneously on the nanotubes wall with preservation of the TNT hollow structure is shown to be essential for achieving efficient charge generation and separation within the heterostructure. In comparison to Na2s/Na2sO3 solution as the sole electrolyte in both the anode and cathode chambers, introduction of dual electrolyte is shown to not only enhance the photostability of the CIs-In2O3-TNT anode, but also lead to near-unity ηcurrentas opposed to the merely 20% ηcurrentof the single-electrolyte system.

Incidence and Risk Factors of Obstetric Anal sphincter Injuries after Various Modes of Vaginal Deliveries in Chinese Women

Background： Obstetric anal sphincter injuries （OAsIs） can cause an adverse impact on women＇s physical and mental health. There was lack of published data in Chinese population particularly on studying the risk of OAsIs for nonrotational outlet forceps. This study was to determine the incidence and risk factors of OAsIs. Methods： This is a retrospective cohort study carried out in a tertiary referral hospital in Hong Kong. The control group was selected randomly. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate the influence of potential risk factors on OAsIs. This study reviewed the obstetric records of OAsIs women and random control from January 2011 to June 2014. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate the influence of potential risk factors on OAsIs. Results： Of 15,446 women delivered, 49 had OAsIs. The percentage of OAsIs increased from 0.3% （2011） to 0.38% （2014）. There was an increasing trend of OAsIs in attempted spontaneous vaginal delivery without episiotorny （P 〈 0.01）~ but it did not increase the OAsIs risk （P = 0.46）. Univariate analysis of 49 cases and 438 control subjects showed that forceps delivery （odds ratio [OR] -8.73, P 〈 0.01 ）, prolong second stage of labor （OR = 1.43, P 〈 0.01） increased the risk lbr OAsIs. In multivariate regression models, only lbrceps delivery （OR = 6.28, P 〈 0.01） proved to be independent risk factor. Conclusions： The incidence of OAsIs in Chinese women was increased alter 2012, but still lower than the reported figures in the literature. Outlet forceps delivery could be a possible associated risk factor.

Relatively small amounts of In-doped Mo(O,s)2(IMs) catalysts(10%, 20%, and 30%) were deposited on cellulose nanofiber(CNF) by cross-linking them with functional groups of siloxane and epoxy to form CNF-IMs hybrid composites. The as-prepared hybrid composites were characterized and tested their performances toward the photo degradations of cationic(MB and Rh B) and anionic(MO) dyes. As indium was doped into Mo(O,s)2lattice to form solid-solution, the charge transfer and photocarrier separation during the catalytic reaction were simultaneously enhanced as probed with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and photoluminescence measurements, respectively. To ensure the catalyst on CNF was well deposited and recyclable, the hybrid composite was evaluated with a reusability experiment to show the stability performance in degrading organic dyes. It was found the environmentally friendly CNF-IMs hybrid composite was relatively stable during the reusability experiment, indicating no catalyst powder was leached out during the photocatalytic reaction. The photoreaction mechanism was convinced by radical-scavenging experiments to show that hydroxyl and superoxide played essential roles for the organic dye degradations in visible-light illuminated conditions. The cross-linked organic/inorganic hybrid catalyst showed a prospective visible light active material not only to solve the environmental issue due to the leaching of nanoparticles but also to lower the post-treatment/recycling cost of photocatalyst in industrial application.
