The aim of this study is to investigate the applicability of reliability theory on surface square/rectangular footing against bearing capacity failure using fuzzy set theory in conjunction with the finite element *** is modeled as a three-dimensional spatially varying medium,where its parameters(cohesion,friction angle,unit weight,etc.)are considered as fuzzy variables that maintain some membership *** is idealized as an elastic-perfectly plastic material obeying the Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion,where both associated and non-associated flow rules are considered in estimating the ultimate bearing capacity of the *** spatial variability of the soil is incorporated for both isotropic and anisotropic fields,which are determined by the values of scales of fluctuation in both the horizontal and vertical directions.A new parameter namely,limiting applied pressure at zero failure probability is proposed,and it indirectly predicts the failure probability of the *** effect of the coefficient of variation of the friction angle of the soil on the probability of failure is analyzed,and it is observed that the effect is ***,the effect of the scale of fluctuation on the probability of failure is investigated,and the necessity for considering spatial variability in the reliability analysis is well proven.

The rapid growth of the Internet of Things(IoT)has raised security concerns,including MQTT protocol-based applications that lack built-in security features and rely on resource-intensive Transport Layer security(TLs)*** paper presents an approach that utilizes blockchain technology to enhance the security of MQTT communication while maintaining *** approach involves using blockchain sharding,which enables higher scalability,improved performance,and reduced computational overhead compared to traditional blockchain approaches,making it well-suited for resource-constrained IoT *** approach leverages Ethereum blockchain’s smart contract mechanism to ensure trust,accountability,and user ***,we introduce a shard-based consensus mechanism that enables improved security while minimizing computational *** also provide a user-controlled and secured algorithm using Proof-of-Access implementation to decentralize user access control to data stored in the blockchain *** proposed approach is analyzed for usability,including metrics such as bandwidth consumption,CPU usage,memory usage,delay,access time,storage time,and jitter,which are essential for IoT application *** analysis demonstrated that the approach reduces resource consumption,and the proposed system outperforms TLs and existing blockchain approaches in these metrics,regardless of the choice of the MQTT ***,thoroughly addressing future research directions,including issues and challenges,ensures careful consideration of potential advancements in this domain.

An all-optical adder/subtractor （A/s） unit with the （TOAD） is proposed. The all-optical A/s unit with help of terahertz optical asymmetric demultiplexer a set of all-optical full-adders and optical exclusive- ORs （XORs）, can be used to perform a fast central processor unit using optical hardware components. We try to exploit the advantages of TOAD-based optical switch to design an integrated all-optical circuit which can perform binary addition and subtraction. With computer simulation results confirming the described methods, conclusions are given.

Under small and marginal farm conditions,allocation of land exclusively for forages is not ***,integration of forages in existing crop geometry can ensure production of grain and fodder,simultaneously under rainfed *** experiment was conducted to study the effect of different nutrient management practices on rice and fodder intercropping systems under rainfed conditions during *** intercropping system comprised(i)sole rice(R),(ii)rice and cowpea(5:2)(CP)and(iii)rice and ricebean(5:2)(RB)whereas the different nutrient management practices comprised(i)application of farm yard manure(FYM)at 5t ha^(-1)(farmers'practice)(N_(1)),(ii)application of inorganic fertilizer(recommended dose of fertilizer(RDF)of rice,60:30:30 kg ha^(-1) of N:P_(2)O_(5):K_(2)O)(N_(2))and(iii)application of both FYM at 5t ha^(-1) and 50%of RDF inorganic fertilizer(N3).The results of the experiment revealed that the growth attribute such as leaf area was influenced significantly when fodder crops were taken as intercrops because rice plant was getting more nitrogen from soil due to nitrogen fixation of leguminous fodder *** the nutrient management practices,significant differences in leaf area were found beween N2 and and between N_(3)and N_(1)***,regarding total number of effective tillers,significant differences were found neither between nutrient management practices nor between cropping *** rice equivalent yield(REY)based on price(REY_(P))was found to be significantly lower in CP(2615 kg ha^(-1);-6.4%)and RB intercropping systems(2571 kg ha^(-1);-8.0%)than in R monocropping system(2794 kg ha^(-1)).However,the REY based on energy(REY_(E))of CP(2999 kg ha^(-1);+7.3%)and RB(2960 kg ha^(-1);+5.9%)were found to be significantly higher than that of R(2794 kg ha^(-1))irrespective of nutrient management *** different nutrient management practices,the N3 treatment recorded the highest REY_(P)and REY_(E)which was at par with

The Linz-Donawitz（LD） steelmaking process produces LD slag at a rate of about 125 kg/t. After metallic scrap recovery, the non-metallic LD slag is rejected because its physical/chemical properties are unsuitable for recycling. X-ray diffraction（XRD） studies have indicated that non-metallic LD slag contains a substantial quantity of mineral phases such as di- and tricalcium silicates. The availability of these mineral phases indicates that LD slag can be recycled by iron（Fe）-ore sintering. However, the presence of 1.2wt% phosphorus（P） in the slag renders the material unsuitable for sintering operations. Electron probe microscopic analysis（EPMA） studies indicated concentration of phosphorus in dicalcium silicate phase as calcium phosphate. The Fe-bearing phases（i.e., wustite and dicalcium ferrite） showed comparatively lower concentrations of P compared with other phases in the slag. Attempts were made to lower the P content of LD slag by adopting various beneficiation techniques. Dry high-intensity magnetic separation and jigging were performed on as-received samples with particle sizes of 6 and 3 mm. spiral separation was conducted using samples ground to sizes of less than 1 and 0.5 mm. Among these studies, grinding to 0.5 mm followed by spiral concentration demonstrated the best results, yielding a concentrate with about 0.75wt% P and 45wt% Fe.

Computing has become more invisible, widespread and ubiquitoussince the inception of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Web of Things. Multipledevices that surround us meet user’s requirements everywhere. Multiple Middleware Framework (MF) designs have come into existence because of the rapiddevelopment of interactive services in Heterogeneous systems. This resulted inthe delivery of interactive services throughout Heterogeneous Environments(HE). Users are given free navigation between devices in a widespread environment and continuously interact with each other from any chosen device. Numerous interactive devices with recent interactive platforms (for example, smartPhones, Mobile Phones, Personal Computer (PC) and Personal Digital Assistant(PDA)) are available in the market. For easy access to information and servicesirrespective of the device used for working and even at the drastic change ofthe environment, the execution of applications on a broad spectrum of computingdevices is propelled by the availability of the above-mentioned platforms. Different applications that need interoperability to coordinate and correspond with eachother should be facilitated. Using a standard interface and data format, HE mustlink various devices from various platforms together to communicate with eachother. To aid the interactive services performed by a middleware framework thatoperates on Application Programming Interface (API) over HEs, this issue aims toendorse an Adaptable service Application Programming Interface (AsAPI).
