The novel coronavirus (sARs-Cov-2) delayed the Tokyo 2020 Games. The traveling by air, rail, road, and sea inside and outside the countries has stopped to contain the virus. The amount of money lost and assistance needed to reschedule and conduct the Games in 2021 have been estimated. With more than one billion population is under the semi-locked down and movement of people is restricted, athletes cannot prepare at home and participate in the Games. The COVID-19 outbreak has spread around the world;it has already infected 5.7 million people and caused 355,000 deaths reported on May 28, 2020 and the figures increasing every day. The publication of this article is important as the postponement of the Olympics has costed Japan $6 billion and the organizers have worked very hard for seven years. If the Games are conducted in 2021, it will be the—beginning of the world recovery—from big COVID-19 pandemic. In this communication, the development in testing, treatment, and vaccine preparation for sARs-Cov-2 have occurred so far in different countries and companies have been discussed to know the possibilities if the pandemic can be overcome and the Games can be conducted in 2021.

Kiwifruits were dried with convection drying,microwave drying and hybrid drying methods(hot air+microwave).Effect of different drying treatments-convection drying(CD),microwave drying(MD)and hybrid drying(HD)on physicochemical,nutritional and anti-oxidant properties of kiwifruits were *** hybrid drying technique significantly reduced drying time and increased drying rate as compared to other drying *** dried kiwifruit slices showed the best texture attributes(low hardness,low shrinkage),better color(L*,a*,b*)and were rated best in sensory *** retention of bio-active compounds and reduced browning was also found in HD kiwifruit *** analysis results showed significant positive correlation of phenols with antioxidant *** methods significantly(pse in protein and fat content was recorded in individual drying methods(Convection drying and Microwave drying).Hence,HD could be a more promising technique for development of dried kiwifruit slices.

This study describes the measurement of bio-electrical signals caused by enzymatic inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) for the detection of organophosphorous and carbamate pesticides which are the strong inhibitors of AChE and prevents its normal function of the rapid removal of acetylcholine (Ach). Biosensor Toxicity Analyzer (BTA) was used for the testing and enzyme activity was determined by acetylthiocholine chloride (ATCCl) as enzyme substrate. The monitoring of changes in bio-electrical signals caused by the interaction of biological substances and residues were evaluated. Two samples of cotton were analyzed. Cryogenic homogenization was carried out for sample pretreatment and soxhlet extraction method (sOX) was used for extraction. The resulted extracts were concentrated and then injected in the BTA. The method shows reasonable results and can successfully be utilized for the detection of residual pesticides on different types of cotton.

A number of companies have announced the vaccines for COVID-19 pandemic that has caused extreme poverty, famine, and more than a billion people have lost livelihood all across the globe. Mass production of vaccine sputnik V is underway at different locations to inoculate population in Russia, Philippines, Vietnam, Brazil, saudi Arab, and United Arab Emirates (UAE), and India. mRNA based vaccine of Pfizer-BioNTech after passing phase 2 trial is ready for testing on thousands of volunteers. Oxford University-AstraZeneca vaccine is also under phase 3 trial in Us, Brazil, and India. In september, Novavax Inc.’s vaccine will be ready for phase 3 trial. By early next year, two billions of doses will be ready of Novavax. Moderna Therapeutics conducting vaccine trial on 30 thousands volunteers, results will be known soon. Hundreds of thousand volunteers have registered already for vaccination in Us and other parts of the world. sinoVac Biotech Ltd. has prepared a vaccine “CoronaVac” and inoculating volunteers in Indonesia and Brazil. Cansino Biologics Inc. in phase 2 trial on 508 volunteers found a satisfactory immune response to COVID-19 virus. Apart from vaccine preparation and availability, we provided data for therapy and treatment for COVID-19 and transmission and stability aspect of COVID-19 sARs-Cov-2 virus. The data and results presented in this article are very important and useful in containing, treating, and eliminating the pandemic COVID-19.

We have demonstrated the application of the world’s fastest supercomputer Fugaku located in Japan to select the COVID-19 drugs and stopping the pandemic spread. Using computer simulation out of 2128 potential drug candidates, the world’s fastest supercomputer picked 30 most effective and potential drugs. Twelve of them are under clinical trials outside Japan;some are being tested in Japan. The computer reduced the computation time from one year to 10 days when compared to second superfast computer of the world. Fugaku supercomputer was employed to know the behavior of airborne aerosol COVID-19 virus. 3Cs were suggested: avoid closed and crowded spaces and contacts to stop the pandemic spread. The progress in vaccine development and proper use and type of mask has also been described in this article. The article will benefit greatly to stop spreading and treating the pandemic COVID-19.

silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were fabricated by repetitive irradiation of near ultraviolet (UV) nanosecond laser pulses (355 nm, 5 ns) in an aqueous solution of silver nitrate in the absence of stabilizing agents. A broad absorption peak was observed in the visible region showing the formation of a variety of AgNPs in the solution. Among the variety of products, it was found that silver nanocubes (AgNCs) grew in size with longer laser irradiation time. The size of AgNCs also increased with higher laser intensity. The average size of AgNCs, investigated by a scanning electron microscope (sEM) was in the range of 75 - 200 nm. The number of reduced atoms in AgNCs as a function of laser intensity showed that the AgNCs are apparently produced by a four photon process, implying that the formation of dimer silver atoms is essential for the formation.

A differential evolution based methodology is introduced for the solution of elliptic partial differential equations (PDEs) with Dirichlet and/or Neumann boundary conditions. The solutions evolve over bounded domains throughout the interior nodes by minimization of nodal deviations among the population. The elliptic PDEs are replaced by the corresponding system of finite difference approximation, yielding an expression for nodal residues. The global residue is declared as the root-mean-square value of the nodal residues and taken as the cost function. The standard differential evolution is then used for the solution of elliptic PDEs by conversion to a minimization problem of the global residue. A set of benchmark problems consisting of both linear and nonlinear elliptic PDEs has been considered for validation, proving the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. To demonstrate its robustness, sensitivity analysis has been carried out for various differential evolution operators and parameters. Comparison of the differential evolution based computed nodal values with the corresponding data obtained using the exact analytical expressions shows the accuracy and convergence of the proposed methodology.

Chitin nanofibers (CNFs) processed from second most abundant biomolecule chitin were loaded with gold metallic nanoparticles (Au NPs) to obtained hybrid organic-inorganic composite which was molded in different forms dispersion, flakes, powder, and transparent thin film. First pre-organized Au NPs were prepared in soluble triblock copolymer poly (methyl vinyl ether) (PMVE) by reduction of gold precursor salt (HAuCl43H2O) by NaBH4 then NPs were mixed with diluted CNFs suspension to obtain CNFs-Au NPs composite. CNFs of width 25 - 40 nm were prepared by combination of chemical and mechanical processing in wet acidic condition from 1 wt% crab shell chitin slurry. When polymer stabilized Au NPs blended with CNF suspension, all Au NPs and 56% polymer were found mass transferred from water phase to entangle with more polar moieties of chitin. Composite’s suspension and compressed dried film were characterized by recording digital images, UV-vis, TEM, sEM, and XRD spectroscopies. When 70 m thin non transparent composite film was impregnated with tricyclodecane dimethanol dimethacrylate (TCDDMA) resin and subsequent polymerized with photoinitiator 2-hydroxy-2-methylpropiophenone, the film became transparent due to filling of nanosized CNFs in the cages of the resin.

We have investigated the morphology of novel 3, 4-bis-alkyloxycarbonyl-hexanedioic acid monolayer (alkyl chain number n = 12, 14, and 16) formed on the water surface by dropping method using surface Tension measurement (sTm) and Brewster Angle Microscopy (BAM). surfactant of 3, 4-bis-alkyloxycarbonyl-hexanedioic acid has a gemini type structure. π-A isotherm curves (sTm) of two gemini surfactants of n = 12 and 14 showed gradual increase in surface pressure, while that of n = 16 showed gradual increase, a stagnant range and finally steep increase. BAM observation showed each image corresponding to the result of sTm measurement. From sTm and BAM results of surfactants, it is found that surfactant of n = 12 and 14 form Liquid-Expand (LE) type monolayer, while that of n = 16 formed Liquid-Condensed (LC) type monolayer including LE-LC phase transition.
