The surface engineering of nanoparticles has contributed to the development of nanoscience and nanotechnology by designing of new material depends on their surface modifier with series of functional properties and *** dispersed nanoparticles can change or modify the interfacial properties in liquid-liquid system in aqueous phase if their surface is modified by ionic *** interfacial energy in nanoparticles-brine system,the ions tends to modify the transport phenomena in pore channels and improve the *** use of the suspension of the particles at nanoscales can offer some advantages of induced sedimentation stability by surface force easily counter balance the force of *** happened due to their nanosize,nanostructure,high volume to surface ratio and strong rock fluid *** also influences the emulsion stability and alters the surface characteristics of surfactant and polymer within the rock in porous *** of the problems associated with conventional EOR processes have been solved by nanoscience applications due to their potential response to reduce the interfacial tension at low to ultra-low level,wettability reversal and improvement in rheology of formation *** large specific surface area,high reactivity,toughness and other properties of Nanoparticles can immensely improve the oil mobility compare to conventional *** paper updates the latest review,experimental evidences and re-interpretation of past research data and applications in respect of silica and titanium dioxide nanoparticles in different environment within surfactant(s),polymer(s),polymer-surfactant EOR *** nanotechnology therefore is an effective and alternate solution to brush up the traditional EOR approach with state of art technology which can revolutionize the total oil and gas industry and can contributes significantly to enhance the economics of oil field industry.

Investigation of accuracy of pavement mechanistic empirical prediction performance by incorporating Level 1 inputs

The recently developed AAsHTOWare pavement mechanistic empirical(M-E)design requires advanced characterization of pavement *** particular,M-E Level 1 analysis requires materials input parameters to be obtained from the laboratory test *** cooperation with the New Mexico Department of Transportation(NMDOT),six pavement sites were selected to compare M-E Level 1 predicted performances from laboratory tested data with the field *** materials such as subgrade,base,asphalt concrete,binder,aggregate,etc.,were collected from these pavements sites during *** dynamic modulus,fatigue endurance limit(FEL),dynamic shear rheometer,and resilient modulus tests were conducted on the collected *** these parameters,pavement sections,as constructed,were modeled and analyzed in M-E at Levels 1,2 and *** predicted distress quantities for international roughness index(IRI)and rutting were compared with the field collected data as well as among the three design *** analysis results demonstrated that M-E overpredicts IRI and rutting in the pavement compared to the field *** was also observed that Level 1 showed the lowest rutting,whereas the maximum rutting was found at Level *** dynamic modulus of AC layer was underpredicted at Levels 2 and 3 resulting in higher rutting and IRI.

Hot workability of as-cast and extruded ZE41A magnesium alloy using processing maps

The hot deformation behavior and microstructure evolution of as-cast and extruded ZE41A magnesium alloy were studied using processing maps. The compression tests were conducted on both as-cast and extruded alloys in the temperature range of 250-450 ℃ and strain rate range of 0.001-1.0 s^-1 to establish the processing map. The dynamic recrystallization （DRX） and instability zones were identified and validated through micrographs. The extruded ZE41A magnesium alloy shows higher flow stress, higher efficiency and lower instability regimes than as-cast alloy. The extruded ZE41A magnesium alloy achieves good hot workability due to grain refinement, decrease in porosity, hardening and strengthening of the material.

Effect of Temperature on Volumetric and Viscometric Properties of Homologous Amino Acids in Aqueous solutions of Metformin Hydrochloride

Influence of different sports on fat mass and lean mass in growing girls

Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze and compare the effects of different sports(swimming, football, basketball, and handball) on fat mass and lean mass in prepubertal and pubertal ***: Two hundred girls(10.6 ± 1.5 years old, Tanner stages I–III) participated in the study and were divided into 5 groups: 40 swimmers, 40 football players, 40 basketball players, 40 handball players, and 40 controls. Fat and lean masses at whole body, arms, trunk, and legs were measured using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry(DXA). Pubertal status was determined using Tanner test. Effects of different sports on fat and lean masses were assessed through analysis of covariance with height as covariates. Analyses were performed separately in 2 groups depending on the Tanner stage(prepubertal and pubertal).Results: The girls of the control group had less lean mass and more fat mass compared to the girls who play sports(p s in body fat between sports. The swimmers and football players had less body fat(p s showed the highest values in lean mass(p sion: Impact sports(football, basketball, and handball) and low-impact sports(swimming) provide an appropriate development of lean mass in growing girls. We can conclude that people practicing sports at early ages ensure a lower fat mass and higher lean mass compared to those who do not practice. These results may be useful as a preventive method of adult obesity.
