A nanofabricated superconducting quantum interference device(nano-sQUID)is a direct and sensitive flux probe used for magnetic imaging of quantum materials and mesoscopic devices.Due to the functionalities of superconductive integrated circuits,nano-sQUIDs fabricated on chips are particularly versatile,but their spatial resolution has been limited by their planar geometries.Here,we use femtosecond laser 3-dimensional(3D)lithography to print a needle onto a nano-sQUID susceptometer to overcome the limits of the planar structure.The nanoneedle coated with a superconducting shell focused the flux from both the field coil and the sample.We performed scanning imaging with such a needle-on-sQUID(Nos)device on superconducting test patterns with topographic feedback.The Nos showed improved spatial resolution in both magnetometry and susceptometry relative to the planarized counterpart.This work serves as a proof-of-principle for integration and inductive coupling between superconducting 3D nanostructures and on-chip Josephson nanodevices.

A new type of symmetry,ren-symmetry,describing anyon physics and corresponding topological physics,is proposed.Ren-symmetry is a generalization of super-symmetry which is widely applied in super-symmetric physics such as super-symmetric quantum mechanics,super-symmetric gravity,super-symmetric string theory,super-symmetric integrable systems and so on.supersymmetry and Grassmann numbers are,in some sense,dual conceptions,and it turns out that these conceptions coincide for the ren situation,that is,a similar conception of ren-number(R-number)is devised for ren-symmetry.In particular,some basic results of the R-number and ren-symmetry are exposed which allow one to derive,in principle,some new types of integrable systems including ren-integrable models and ren-symmetric integrable systems.Training examples of ren-integrable KdV-type systems and ren-symmetric KdV equations are explicitly given.

We investigated the emission properties of Eu3+-doped GdNbO4-based oxide phosphors,aiming at improving the Eu3+emission by codoping of Bi3+and Li+.Eu3+singly doped,Eu3+and Bi3+doubly doped,and Eu3+,Bi3+,and Li+triply doped GdNbO4were prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction method.The red-orange emissions from Eu3+in the singly doped samples are significantly improved by the codoping of Bi3+,mainly due to the energy transfer from Bi3+to Eu3+.The additional codoping of Li+is found to increase the Eu3+emission significantly.This improvement might be attributed to the increase in the photoluminescent quantum yield originating from larger grain sizes and better crystallinity.A detailed analysis of the X-ray diffraction pattern and the asymmetric ratio estimated from the photoluminescence spectra show that the local lattice environment around Eu3+in GdNbO4does not change significantly with the codoping of Bi3+and Li+.Our results indicate that Li+doping is a promising way to improve the emission properties of rare-earth ion-doped GdNbO4phosphors.

Construction of 2D/2D Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene/Cds heterojunction with photothermal effect for efficient photocatalytic hydrogen production

Objective: The aim of the work described here was to evaluate the role of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUs) in response evaluation for unresectable advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) plus anti-programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody therapy. Methods: A prospective cohort of consecutive patients with HCC who received combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody treatment for unresectable HCC between January 2022 and October 2022 was included in this study. The patients underwent unenhanced ultrasound (Us) and CEUs examinations before treatment and at follow-up. Changes in the largest diameters of the target tumor on unenhanced Us and the largest diameters of the enhancing target tumors on CEUs were evaluated. Response Evaluation Criteria in solid Tumors (RECIsT) version 1.1 with unenhanced Us and magnetic resonance imaging/computed tomography (MRI/CT) and modified RECIsT (mRECIsT) with CEUs and CEMRI/CT were used to assess treatment response. Results: A total of 24 HCC patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y; Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C, 62.5%; 29 intrahepatic target tumors) were studied. Calculations of degree of necrosis in the target tumors revealed no significant differences between CEUs and CEMRI/CT (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As for the differentiation of responders from non-responders, the agreement between RECIsT version 1.1 of unenhanced Us and mRECIsT-CEUs was poor (κ coefficient = 0.233). Meanwhile, there was a high degree of concordance between mRECIsT-CEUs and mRECIsT-CEMRI/CT (κ coefficient = 0.812). Conclusion: CEUs proved to be superior to baseline Us and is comparable to CEMRI/CT in defining treatment outcome for combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody therapy. © 2023 World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology

The insensitivity of semiconductors to visible and infrared light is a key constraint on the utilization of light energy in photocatalytic reactions.Constructing photocatalysts with full-spectrum absorption through surface engineering is an effective approach to fully harnessing light energy in semiconductor materials.Herein,a novel stable Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene/Cds heterojunction catalyst is obtained by in-situ epitaxial growth of two-dimensional(2D)Cds nanosheets on 2D MXene interface via a solvothermal method.The exceptional light absorption properties of MXene confer outstanding full-spectrum driven photocat-alytic hydrogen evolution capability upon the heterogeneous catalyst.The unique 2D/2D structure effectively mitigated the recombination of photogenerated carriers,enhancing the photocatalytic performance of the catalyst.Moreover,the composite catalyst exhibits a significantly higher surface temperature of 80.4℃under visible light irradiation at an intensity of 0.1 W/cm^(2),which is 1.84 times higher than that of Cds.Under irradiation of visible and near infrared light,the composite catalyst with photothermal ef-fect demonstrates a remarkable hydrogen evolution rate of 65.4 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1),which is 7.2 times higher than that of Cds catalyst.This study introduces a novel approach for constructing full-spectrum absorption catalysts and expands the application of the photothermal effect in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution research.

Post-bond heat treatment(PBHT) applied to a transient liquid phase(TLP) bonding joint is an effective approach to remove the brittle borides and improve its properties.Herein,we proposed two types of PBHT strategies to obtain a TLP bonded γ'-strengthened Co-based single crystal superalloy,and the microstructural characteristics and tensile properties of the two heat treated joints were compared to identify the optimal PBHT strategy.The evolution of the brittle boride in the joint after the PBHT was studied by using in-situ microscopy.The experimental results allowed to provide a theoretic model to quantitatively evaluate the distribution of the brittle phase after the optimal PBHT and analyze the joint fractures to understand the failure mechanisms.The obtained results revealed that a post-bond solid solution treatment performed to the joint at a high temperature(over 1275℃) could decrease the area fraction of the boride from 7.2 % to 1.4 % and increase the elongation from 1.9 % to 7.8 %.This work emphasizes the relevance of solid solution temperature when a PBHT strategy is applied.

Phase recovery(PR)refers to calculating the phase of the light field from its intensity measurements.As exemplified from quantitative phase imaging and coherent diffraction imaging to adaptive optics,PR is essential for reconstructing the refractive index distribution or topography of an object and correcting the aberration of an imaging system.In recent years,deep learning(DL),often implemented through deep neural networks,has provided unprecedented support for computational imaging,leading to more efficient solutions for various PR problems.In this review,we first briefly introduce conventional methods for PR.Then,we review how DL provides support for PR from the following three stages,namely,pre-processing,in-processing,and post-processing.We also review how DL is used in phase image processing.Finally,we summarize the work in DL for PR and provide an outlook on how to better use DL to improve the reliability and efficiency of PR.Furthermore,we present a live-updating resource(https://***/kqwang/phase-recovery)for readers to learn more about PR.

Distinct Electrical and Mechanical Responses of a Cu-10Fe Composite Prepared by Hot-Pressed sintering and Post Treatment

A Cu-10wt%Fe composite was prepared through hot-pressed sintering,and the material was subsequently solution treated.The hot-pressed sintered and solution treated materials were rolled and aged.The precipitation behavior and performance changes were systematically studied by using scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.In contrast to the hot-pressed sintered specimen,the solution treatment significantly affects the thermal stability and properties of the Cu-10wt%Fe composite.The Cu-10wt%Fe composite was prepared after solid solution,cold rolling and aging at 773 K for 1 h,and it obtained excellent tensile strength of 494 MPa,uniform elongation of 16.3%,electrical conductivity of 51.1%IACs and softening temperature of 838 K.Mechanisms for the distinct difference in thermal stability and properties between hot-pressed sintered and solution treated specimens were analyzed.These findings provide a theoretical basis for designing high-performance Cu-based in-situ composites by post treatment.

The metal cutting process is accompanied by complex stress field,strain field,temperature field.The comprehensive effects of process parameters on chip morphology,cutting force,tool wear and residual stress are complex and inter-connected.Finite element method(FEM)is considered as an effective method to predict process variables and reveal microscopic physical phenomena in the cutting process.Therefore,the finite element(FE)simulation is used to research the conventional and micro scale cutting process,and the differences in the establishment of process variable FE simulation models are distinguished,thereby improving the accuracy of FE simulation.The reliability and effectiveness of FE simulation model largely depend on the accuracy of the simulation method,constitutive model,friction model,damage model in describing mesh element,the dynamic mechanical behavior of materials,the tool-chip-workpiece contact process and the chip formation mechanism.In this paper,the FE models of conventional and micro process variables are comprehensively and up-to-date reviewed for different materials and machining methods.The purpose is to establish a FE model that is more in line with the real cutting conditions,and to provide the possibility for optimizing the cutting process variables.The development direction of FE simulation of metal cutting process is discussed,which provides guidance for future cutting process modeling.
