Extensive spatiotemporal analyses of long-trend surface ozone in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD)region and itsmeteorology-related and emission-related have not been systematically *** this study,by using 8-year-long(2015–2022)surface ozone observation data,we attempted to reveal the variation ofmultiple timescale components using the Kolmogorov–Zurbenko filter,and the effects of meteorology and emissions were quantitatively isolated using multiple linear regression with meteorological *** results showed that the short-term,seasonal,and long-term components accounted for daily maximum 8-hr average O_(3)(O_(3–8)hr)concentration,46.4%,45.9%,and 1.0%,*** meteorological impacts account for an average of 71.8%of O_(3–8)hr,and the YRD’s eastern and northern sections aremeteorology-sensitive *** on statistical analysis technology with empirical orthogonal function,the contribution of meteorology,local emission,and transport in the long-term component of O_(3–8)hr were 0.21%,0.12%,and 0.6%,*** spatiotemporal analysis indicated that a distinct decreasing spatial pattern could be observed from coastal cities towards the northwest,influenced by the monsoon and synoptic *** central urban agglomeration north and south of the YRD was particularly susceptible to local *** the cities studied,shanghai,Anqing,and xuancheng,located at similar latitudes,were significantly impacted by atmospheric transmission—the contribution of shanghai,the maximum accounting for 3.6%.

Flexible Zn-based batteries have attracted increasing research interest as essential components of wearable energy storage ***,the advancement of flexible aqueous Zn-based batteries based on Co-Ni layered double hydroxide (CoNi-LDH) as the cathode material is hampered by their poor cycling stability and the corrosiveness of alkaline ***,CoNi-LDH nanosheets enriched with H vacancies (CoNi-LDH(v)) were constructed on a flexible carbon cloth (CC) substrate via electrochemical deposition and *** Zn-based battery comprising CoNi-LDH(v)@CC as the cathode exhibited highly reversible conversion reactions and stable operation in 3 M ZnsO4electrolyte (pH=4).The battery delivered an excellent specific capacity (225 mA h g^(-1),0.26 mA h cm^(-2)),acceptable cycling stability(53.9%,900 cycles),and high discharging *** abundant H vacancies served as active sites for the reversible intercalation of Zn^(2+)and the extravasation of NO_(3)-generated channels and space for Zn^(2+)transport and storage,together enabling an excellent Zn^(2+)storage ***,a sandwich-structured solid-state CoNi-LDH(v)@CC//Zn@CC battery was fabricated and was found to exhibit a noteworthy electrochemical performance and mechanical *** a proof of concept,the unencapsulated battery powered a digital watch under various deformation conditions and operated stably for 80 ***,the flexible battery displayed outstanding customizability,maintaining an open-circuit voltage of 1.42 V even after being cut *** proposed engineering strategy contributes to the realization of textiles with truly wearable energy-storage devices.

Powder bed fusion(PBF)in metallic additive manufacturing offers the ability to produce intricate geometries,high-strength components,and reliable ***,powder processing before energy-based binding significantly impacts the final product’s *** maps guide efficient process design to minimize defects,but creating them through experimentation alone is challenging due to the wide range of parameters,necessitating a comprehensive computational parametric *** this study,we used the discrete element method to parametrically analyze the powder processing design space in PBF of stainless steel 316L *** lattice parameter sweeps are often used for parametric analysis,but are computationally *** find that non-uniform parameter sweep based on the low discrepancy sequence(LDs)algorithm is ten times more efficient at exploring the design space while accurately capturing the relationship between powder flow dynamics and bed packing *** introduce a multi-layer perceptron(MLP)model to interpolate parametric causalities within the LDs parameter *** over 99%accuracy,it effectively captures these causalities while requiring fewer ***,we generate processing design maps for machine setups and powder selections for efficient process *** find that recoating speed has the highest impact on powder processing quality,followed by recoating layer thickness,particle size,and inter-particle friction.

Five tectonic modes of mantle convection are obtained and analyzed with three-dimensional numerical models in a spherical shell *** five tectonic convective modes are non-plate mobile-lid,plate-like mobile-lid,episodic plate-like mobile-lid,episodic stagnant-lid,and stagnant-lid convective modes,*** typical characteristics of these five tectonic modes and their numerical classification criteria based on plateness,mobility,and their standard deviations are presented and *** results show that the yield stress of the lithosphere has profound effects on the tectonic convective *** the gradual increase of yield stress,the tectonic mode of mantle convection changes from one to another sequentially through the aforementioned five ***,as the Rayleigh number increases,the range of yield stress for the platelike mobile-lid convective mode decreases,and the dimensionless transition stress between different tectonic modes ***,the dimensional transition stress between the non-plate mobile-lid convective mode and plate-like mobile-lid convective mode increases with the increase of Rayleigh number,but decreases between other tectonic ***,we find that the transition stress between different tectonic modes is inversely proportional to the internal heating rate,with the transition stress decreasing as the internal heating rate *** fitting analysis of the transition stress between tectonic modes shows that Earth's current plate tectonics correspond to a lithospheric yield stress of 150–250 MPa,which aligns with the strength of serpentinized mantle rock determined by experimental *** the Archean mantle was 300℃warmer than it is today,then the Earth was in an episodic stagnant-lid convective *** tectonic evolution of the Earth's surface is closely related to the lithospheric strength and the process of thermal *** the lithospheric strength was only 150 MPa,plate tecton

Two strains of Fe/Mn oxidizing bacteria tolerant to high concentrations of multiple heavy metal(loid)s and efficient decontamination for them were *** surface of the bio-Fe/Mn oxides produced by the oxidation of Fe(II)and Mn(II)by Pseudomonas taiwanensis(marked as P4)and Pseudomonas plecoglossicida(marked as G1)contains rich reactive oxygen functional groups,which play critical roles in the removal efficiency and immobilization of heavymetal(loid)s in co-contamination *** isolated strains P4 and G1 can growwell in the following environments:pH 5-9,NaCl 0-4%,and temperature 20-30℃.The removal efficiencies of Fe,Pb,As,Zn,Cd,Cu,and Mn are effective after inoculation of the strains P4 and G1 in the simulated water system(the initial concentrations of heavy metal(loid)were 1 mg/L),approximately reaching 96%,92%,85%,67%,70%,54%and 15%,*** exchangeable and carbonate bound As,Cd,Pb and Cu are more inclined to convert to the Fe-Mn oxide bound fractions in P4 and G1 treated soil,thereby reducing the phytoavailability and bioaccessible of heavy metal(loid)*** research provides alternatives method to treat water and soil containing high concentrations of multi-heavy metal(loid)s.

High-dimensional data(a dataset with many features)were collected from 64 sampling sites to analyze the water quality in estuaries along the coast of the Bohai sea,North *** twenty-five water quality parameters analyzed were collected monthly from January 2021 to December *** statistical techniques,such as the absolute principal component score-multiple linear regression model(APCs-MLR),correlation analysis,and analysis of variance were used to identify and quantify the potential sources or factors affecting water quality and to analyze the spatial-temporal variation in water *** water quality indices(WQIs),ranging from 67.96 to 70.67,showed that the water quality was at an intermediate level in the estuaries during both the flood and nonflood *** concentrations of total phosphorus(TP),ammonia N(AN),and organic pollutants were greater in the Haihe River Basin than in the Liaohe River and Huanghe-Huaihe River *** concentration of total nitrogen(TN)in the Haihe River Basin was lower than that in the Liaohe River and Huanghe-Huaihe River *** metal concentrations in the Liaohe River Basin were greater than those in the Haihe River and Huanghe-Huaihe River *** annual mean concentrations of AN in the estuaries of the Haihe,Liaohe,and Huanghe(Yellow)rivers exhibited significant decreasing trends from 2013 to 2022,but no significant decreasing trends were found for permanganate index(COD_(Mn))or the *** concentrations of TN and AN were lower in the flood season than in the nonflood season,and the TP concentration was greater in the flood season than in the nonflood ***,the concentrations of organic pollutants did not exhibit significant *** sewage and industrial wastewater,substance exchange between air and water,nonpoint sources from rural and urban areas,and aquaculture wastewater were the major sources or factors responsible for water pollution in the estuaries.

The distributed randomness beacon(DRB) is a crucial tool for continuously generating unpredictable, bias-resistant,and publicly verifiable random numbers on a regular basis. This is particularly useful for applications such as lotteries, electronic voting, and cryptographic parameter generation. However, existing studies either require complex communication or rely on a public bulletin board to meet security requirements. This brings a performance bottleneck when dealing with a large number of participants. This paper introduces a novel DRB protocol PltcRB based on timed commitments, eliminating the need for a public bulletin board. Our approach achieves optimal communication complexity of O(n) while maintaining the desired properties of a DRB protocol. The computation complexity is also O(n) when n is larger than the security parameter κ. These results demonstrate the practicality and performance of PltcRB, supported by our experimental analysis under various configurations.

High-Mountain Asia(HMA)is an important source of freshwater since it holds the largest reservoir of frozen water outside the polar *** feeds ten great rivers,ultimately supporting more than 2 billion ***,the threat of accelerated glacier melt,which is a consequence of unprecedented global warming since the early 1950s,threatens water resources in the surrounding *** predictions of the near-term temperature change and synergistic mass loss of glaciers are essential but challenging to implement because of the impacts of internal climate ***,based on large ensembles of state-of-the-art decadal climate prediction experiments,we provide evidence that the internally generated surface air temperature variations in HMA can be predicted multiple years in advance,and the model initialization has robust added value to the decadal prediction ***-time decadal forecasts suggest that the HMA will experience accelerated warming in 2025-2032,where the surface warming will increase by 0.98°C(0.67 to 1.33°C;5%to 95%range)relative to the reference period 1991-2020,which is equivalent to 1.75 times the observed warming during *** decadal predictability originates from extratropical Pacific decadal variability modes,which modulate the convective heating in the tropical Pacific and influence HMA via the eastward-propagating atmospheric Kelvin *** warming in the coming decade will likely increase the shrinkage of the glacier volume over the HMA by 1.4%.This change poses unprecedented challenges,including potential water scarcity,ecosystem disruption,and increased risk of natural disasters,to HMA and surrounding regions.

In this paper, we introduce Frobenius von Neumann algebras and study quantum convolution inequalities. In this framework, we unify quantum Young's inequality on quantum symmetries such as subfactors,and fusion bi-algebras studied in quantum Fourier analysis. Moreover, we prove quantum entropic convolution inequalities and characterize the extremizers in the subfactor case. We also prove quantum smooth entropic convolution inequalities. We obtain the positivity of comultiplications of subfactor planar algebras, which is stronger than the quantum schur product theorem. All these inequalities provide analytic obstructions of unitary categorification of fusion rings stronger than the schur product criterion.
