Benefit of aerosol reduction to winter wheat during China's clean air action:A case study of Henan Province

A strongly declining aerosol radiative effect has been observed in China since 2013 after implementing the clean air action,yet its impact on wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)production remains *** use satellite measures and a biophysical crop model to assess the impact of aerosol-induced radiative perturbations on winter wheat production in the agricultural belt of Henan province from 2013 to *** calibrating parameters with the extended Fourier Amplitude sensitivity Test(EFAsT)and the generalized likelihood uncertainty estimation(GLUE)method,the DssAT CEREs-wheat model was able to simulate crop biomass and yield more *** found that the aerosol negatively impacted wheat biomass by 21.87%and yield by 22.48%from 2006 to 2018,and the biomass effects from planting to anthesis were more significant compared to anthesis to *** to the strict clean air action,under all-sky conditions,the surface solar shortwave radiation(ssR)in 2018 increased by about 7.08%over 2006-2013 during the wheat growing *** a result of the improvement of crop photosynthesis,winter wheat biomass and yield increased by an average of 5.46%and 2.9%,*** findings show that crop carbon uptake and yield will benefit from the clean air action in China,helping to ensure national food and health security.

Two low-lying unbound states in ^(16)C are investigated by deuteron inelastic scattering in inverse *** the 2^(-) state at 5.45 MeV previously measured in a 1n knockout reaction,a new resonant state at 6.89 MeV is observed for the first *** inelastic scattering angular distributions of these two states are well reproduced by the distorted-wave Born approximation(DwBA)calculation with an l=1 *** addition,the spinparities of the unbound states are discussed and tentatively assigned based on shell model calculations using the modified YsOX interaction.

Perfluorobutanesulfonate(PFBs)is an emerging pollutant capable of potently disrupting the sex and thyroid endocrine systems of ***,the hypoxic and temporal variation in PFBs endocrine disrupting toxicity remain largely *** the present study,adult marine medaka were exposed to environmentally realistic concentrations of PFBs(0 and 10μg/L)under normoxia or hypoxia conditions for 7 days,aiming to explore the interactive behavior between PFBs and *** addition,PFBs singular exposure was extended till 21days under normoxia to elucidate the time-course progression in PFBs *** results showed that hypoxia inhibited the growth and caused the suspension of egg spawn regardless of PFBs *** regard to the sex endocrine system,7-day PFBs exposure led to an acute stimulation of transcriptional profiles in females,which,subsequently,recovered after the 21-day *** potency of hypoxia to disturb the sex hormones was much stronger than PFBs.A remarkable increase in estradiol concentration was noted in medaka blood after hypoxia *** in sex endocrinology of coexposed fish were largely determined by hypoxia,which drove the formation of an estrogenic *** further enhanced the endocrine disrupting effects of ***,the hepatic synthesis of vitellogenin and choriogenin,two commonly used sensitive biomarkers of estrogenic activity,failed to initiate in response to the estrogen *** to sex endocrine system,disturbances in thyroidal axis by PFBs or hypoxia were relatively ***,the present findings will advance our toxicological understanding about PFBs pollutant under the interference of hypoxia.

Methane is the second largest anthropogenic greenhouse gas,and changes in atmospheric methane concentrations can reflect the dynamic balance between its emissions and ***,the monitoring of CH_(4) concentration changes and the assessment of underlying driving factors can provide scientific basis for the government’s policy making and *** is the world’s largest emitter of anthropogenic ***,due to the lack of ground-based observation sites,little work has been done on the spatial-temporal variations for the past decades and influencing factors in China,especially for areas with high anthropogenic emissions as Central and Eastern *** to quantify atmospheric CH_(4) enhancements trends and its driving factors in Central and Eastern China,we combined the most up-to-date TROPOMI satellite-based column CH_(4)(xCH_(4))concentration from 2018 to 2022,anthropogenic and natural emissions,and a random forest-based machine learning approach,to simulate atmospheric xCH_(4) enhancements from 2001 to *** results showed that(1)the random forest model was able to accurately establish the relationship between emission sources and xCH_(4) enhancement with a correlation coefficient(R^(2))of 0.89 and a root mean-square error(RMsE)of 11.98 ppb;(2)The xCH_(4) enhancement only increased from 48.21±2.02 ppb to 49.79±1.87 ppb from the year of 2001 to 2018,with a relative change of 3.27%±0.13%;(3)The simulation results showed that the energy activities and waste treatment were the main contributors to the increase in xCH_(4) enhancement,contributing 68.00% and 31.21%,respectively,and the decrease of animal ruminants contributed-6.70% of its enhancement trend.

Blockchain technology has witnessed a burgeoning integration into diverse realms of economic and societal ***,scalability challenges,characterized by diminished broadcast efficiency,heightened communication overhead,and escalated storage costs,have significantly constrained the broad-scale application of *** paper introduces a novel Encode-and CRT-based scalability scheme(ECss),meticulously refined to enhance both block broadcasting and ***,ECss categorizes nodes into distinct domains,thereby reducing the network diameter and augmenting transmission ***,ECss streamlines block transmission through a compact block protocol and robust Rs coding,which not only reduces the size of broadcasted blocks but also ensures transmission ***,ECss utilizes the Chinese remainder theorem,designating the block body as the compression target and mapping it to multiple modules to achieve efficient storage,thereby alleviating the storage burdens on *** evaluate ECss’s performance,we established an experimental platformand conducted comprehensive *** results demonstrate that ECss attains superior network scalability and stability,reducing communication overhead by an impressive 72% and total storage costs by a substantial 63.6%.

we investigated the emission properties of Eu3+-doped GdNbO4-based oxide phosphors,aiming at improving the Eu3+emission by codoping of Bi3+and Li+.Eu3+singly doped,Eu3+and Bi3+doubly doped,and Eu3+,Bi3+,and Li+triply doped GdNbO4were prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction *** red-orange emissions from Eu3+in the singly doped samples are significantly improved by the codoping of Bi3+,mainly due to the energy transfer from Bi3+to Eu3+.The additional codoping of Li+is found to increase the Eu3+emission *** improvement might be attributed to the increase in the photoluminescent quantum yield originating from larger grain sizes and better crystallinity.A detailed analysis of the X-ray diffraction pattern and the asymmetric ratio estimated from the photoluminescence spectra show that the local lattice environment around Eu3+in GdNbO4does not change significantly with the codoping of Bi3+and Li+.Our results indicate that Li+doping is a promising way to improve the emission properties of rare-earth ion-doped GdNbO4phosphors.

BACKGROUND Previous observational studies have shown that the prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)and Barrett’s esophagus(BE)is associated with socioeconomic ***,due to the methodological limitations of traditional observational studies,it is challenging to definitively establish *** To explore the causal relationship between the prevalence of these conditions and socioeconomic status using Mendelian randomization(MR).METHODs we initially screened single nucleotide polymorphisms(sNPs)to serve as proxies for eight socioeconomic status phenotypes for univariate MR *** inverse variance weighted(IVw)method was used as the primary analytical method to estimate the causal relationship between the eight socioeconomic status phenotypes and the risk of GERD and *** then collected combinations of sNPs as composite proxies for the eight socioeconomic phenotypes to perform multivariate MR(MVMR)analyses based on the IVw MVMR ***,a two-step MR mediation analysis was used to examine the potential mediation of the associations by body mass index,major depressive disorder(MDD),smoking,alcohol consumption,and sleep *** The study identified three socioeconomic statuses that had a significant impact on *** included household income[odds ratio(OR):0.46;95% confidence interval(95%CI):0.31-0.70],education attainment(OR:0.23;95%CI:0.18-0.29),and the Townsend Deprivation Index at recruitment(OR:1.57;95%CI:1.04-2.37).These factors were found to independently and predominantly influence the genetic causal effect of ***,the mediating effect of educational attainment on GERD was found to be mediated by MDD(proportion mediated:10.83%).similarly,the effect of educational attainment on BE was mediated by MDD(proportion mediated:10.58%)and the number of cigarettes smoked per day(proportion mediated:3.50%).Additionally,the mediating effect of household income on GERD was observed to be mediated by sleep dur
