Design of Floating Mass Type Piezoelectric Actuator for Implantable Middle Ear Hearing Devices

To overcome some of the problems inherent in conventional heating aids such as low gain at high fi＇equencies due to acoustic feedback, discomfort in occlusion of the extemal ear canal and so on, implantable middle ear hearing devices （IMEHDs） have been developed over the past two decades. For such kinds of IMEHDs, this paper presents the design of a floating mass piezoelectric actuator using a PMN-30%PT stack as a new type of vibrator. The proposed piezoelectric actuator consists of only three components of a piezoelectric stack, a metal case and a clamp. For the purpose of aiding the design of this actuator, a coupling biomechanics model of human middle ear and the piezoelectric actuator was constructed. This model was built based on a complete set of computerized tomography section images of a healthy volunteer＇s left ear by reverse engineering technology. The validity of this model was confirmed by comparing the motion of the tympanic membrane and stapes footplate obtained by this model with published experimental measurements on human temporal bones. It is shown that the designed actuator can be implanted on the incus long process by a simple surgical operation, and the stapes footplate displacement by its excitation at 10.5 v root-mean-square（RMs） voltage was equivalent to that from acoustic stimulation at 100 dB sound pressure level（sPL）, which is adequate stimulation to the ossicular chain. The corresponding power consumption is 0.04 mW per volt of excitation at 1 kHz, which is low enough for the transducer to be used in an implantable middle ear device.

Understanding transformations under electron beam irradiation requires mapping the structural phases and their evolution in real *** date,this has mostly been a manual endeavor comprising difficult frame-by-frame analysis that is simultaneously tedious and prone to ***,we turn toward the use of deep convolutional neural networks(DCNN)to automatically determine the Bravais lattice symmetry present in atomically resolved images.A DCNN is trained to identify the Bravais lattice class given a 2D fast Fourier transform of the input ***-Carlo dropout is used for determining the prediction probability,and results are shown for both simulated and real atomically resolved images from scanning tunneling microscopy and scanning transmission electron microscopy.A reduced representation of the final layer output allows to visualize the separation of classes in the DCNN and agrees with physical *** then apply the trained network to electron beam-induced transformations in Ws2,which allows tracking and determination of growth rate of *** highlight two key aspects of these results:(1)it shows that DCNNs can be trained to recognize diffraction patterns,which is markedly different from the typical“real image”cases and(2)it provides a method with inbuilt uncertainty quantification,allowing the real-time analysis of phases present in atomically resolved images.

Deep learning analysis of defect and phase evolution during electron beam-induced transformations in Ws_(2)

Recent advances in scanning transmission electron microscopy(sTEM)allow the real-time visualization of solid-state transformations in materials,including those induced by an electron beam and temperature,with atomic ***,despite the ever-expanding capabilities for high-resolution data acquisition,the inferred information about kinetics and thermodynamics of the process,and single defect dynamics and interactions is *** is due to the inherent limitations of manual ex situ analysis of the collected volumes of *** circumvent this problem,we developed a deep-learning framework for dynamic sTEM imaging that is trained to find the lattice defects and apply it for mapping solid state reactions and transformations in layered Ws_(2).The trained deep-learning model allows extracting thousands of lattice defects from raw sTEM data in a matter of seconds,which are then classified into different categories using unsupervised clustering *** further expanded our framework to extract parameters of diffusion for sulfur vacancies and analyzed transition probabilities associated with switching between different configurations of defect complexes consisting of Mo dopant and sulfur vacancy,providing insight into pointdefect dynamics and *** approach is universal and its application to beam-induced reactions allows mapping chemical transformation pathways in solids at the atomic level.

目的探究脉冲频率对镁锂合金黑色微弧氧化膜层的色度及其在海洋环境的耐磨性能和抗腐蚀性能的影响。方法复合添加Cu_(2)P_(2)O_(7)和CosO42种着色盐,并调控脉冲频率在镁锂合金表面制备了黑色微弧氧化膜层。结果由于脉冲频率的增加,Co元素在膜层中含量占比逐步增加、而Cu元素含量占比逐步减少,膜层由红棕色转变为黑色,黑度值最小可达24.95;频率为1000Hz时,摩擦因数仅为0.13,磨痕宽度为206.52μm,耐磨性能显著提升,且腐蚀增重最少,仅为0.5 mg/cm^(2)。阻抗提升了1个数量级。结论调控脉冲频率可影响微弧氧化过程中的弧光放电现象,增大脉冲频率可增大膜层黑度;其结构更加致密,从而提升了膜层耐磨性能及抗腐蚀性能。

Inhibition of protein kinases by anticancer DNA intercalator, 4-butylaminopyrimido[4',5':4,5]thieno(2,3-b)quinoline

Targeting protein kinases(PKs) has been a promising strategy in treating cancer, as PKs are key regulators of cell survival and proliferation. Here in this study, we studied the ability of pyrimido[4',5':4,5]thieno(2,3-b)quinolines(PTQ) to inhibit different PKs by performing computational docking and in vitro screening. Docking studies revealed that 4-butylaminopyrimido[4',5':4,5]thieno(2,3-b)quinoline(BPTQ) has a higher order of interaction with the kinase receptors than other PTQ *** vitro screening confirms that BPTQ inhibits.v.GFR1 and CHK2, with the IC_(50) values of 0.54 and1.70 mmol/L, respectively. Further, cytotoxicity of BPTQ was measured by trypan blue assay. Treatment with BPTQ decreased the proliferation of HL-60 cells with an IC_(50) value of 12 mmol/L and induces apoptosis, as explicated by the fall in the mitochondrial membrane potential, annexin v labeling and increased expression of caspase-3. Taken together, these data suggest that BPTQ possess ability to inhibit PKs and to induce cell death in human promyelocytic leukemia cells.

‘范艾斯汀’海棠半同胞家系苗期生长特性及子代优选

以61个‘范艾斯汀’海棠(Malus spectabilis.v.ns Eseltine’)自由授粉子代的2年生嫁接苗为实验材料,并以同年嫁接的母本‘范艾斯汀’海棠嫁接苗为对照,对‘范艾斯汀’海棠半同胞家系及母本苗期的生长、观赏和抗性指标进行观测,采用Gompertz模型拟合子代年生长过程,采用层次分析(AHP)法对‘范艾斯汀’海棠半同胞家系进行综合评价,旨在制定适宜的育苗措施,同时选育出生长迅速且表型优良的子代。结果显示:‘范艾斯汀’海棠半同胞家系的苗高和地径年生长均符合“s”型曲线,呈“慢—快—慢”的生长节律,反映了“生长前期(3月中至5月中)—速生期(4月初至9月初)—生长后期(5月中至11月中)”的生长过程,对各生长期应给予不同的育苗措施。‘范艾斯汀’海棠半同胞家系速生期可分为前期速生型(4月初至4月中)、中期速生型(4月中至5月初)和后期速生型(5月初至5月中)。不同个体苗高和地径速生期始末差异明显,呈现异速生长现象。其中,85%的子代苗高速生期属于前期、中期速生型,91%的子代地径速生期属于中期、后期速生型。v39、v49、v21、v27和v405个子代生长迅速,苗高(202.0~226.0 cm)和地径(18.96~22.04 mm)均高于母本(苗高和地径分别为197.9 cm和16.14 mm),分枝数(14~38)多于母本(9),新叶均为紫红色或棕红色,树皮光滑或较光滑。综上所述,Gompertz模型可预测‘范艾斯汀’海棠半同胞家系的苗期生长特性随时间的变化趋势,了解子代的年生长规律;v39、v49、v21、v27和v405个子代综合评价得分较高,是优良的‘范艾斯汀’海棠子代单株,今后可加强其观赏性评价,实现观赏与长势俱佳的育种目标。

software selection in Manufacturing Industries Using a Fuzzy Multiple Criteria Decision Making Method, PROMETHEE

This paper presents an effective decision making framework for software selection in manufacturing industries using a multiple criteria decision making method, Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations (PROMETHEE). The method is improved in the present work by integrating with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is introduced to handle the imprecision of the human decision making process. The proposed decision making framework is practical for ranking competing software products in terms of their overall performance with respect to multiple criteria. An example is included to illustrate the approach.
