Detection and Classification of Diabetic Retinopathy Using DCNN and BsN Models

Cross-Validation Convolution Neural Network-Based Algorithm for Automated Detection of Diabetic Retinopathy

The substantial vision loss due to Diabetic Retinopathy(DR)mainly damages the blood vessels of the *** feature changes in the blood vessels fail to exist any manifestation in the eye at its initial stage,if this problem doesn’t exhibit initially,that leads to permanent ***,this type of disorder can be only screened and identified through the processing of fundus *** different stages in DR are Micro aneurysms(Ma),Hemorrhages(HE),and Exudates,and the stages in lesion show the chance of *** the advancement of early detection of DR in the eye we have developed the CNN-based identification approach on the fundus blood lesion *** CNN-based automated detection of DR proposes the novel Graph cutter-built background and foreground superpixel segmentation technique and the foremost classification of fundus images feature was done through hybrid classifiers as K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN)classifier,support Vector Machine(sVM)classifier,and Cascaded Rotation Forest(CRF)*** this classifier,the feature cross-validation made the classification more accurate and the comparison is made with the previous works of parameters such as specificity,sensitivity,and accuracy shows that the hybrid classifier attains excellent performance and achieves an overall accuracy of 98%.Among these Cascaded Rotation Forest(CRF)classifier has more accuracy than others.

Fuzzy Based Adaptive Clustering to Improve the Lifetime of Wireless sensor Network

The objective of the recently proposed fuzzy based hierarchical routing protocol F-sCH is to improve the lifetime of a Wireless sensor Network. Though the performance of F-sCH is better than LEACH, the randomness in CH selection inhibits it from attaining enhanced lifetime. CBCH ensures maximum network lifetime when CH is close to the centroid of the cluster. However, for a widely distributed network, CBCH results in small sized clusters increasing the inter cluster communication cost. Hence, with an objective to enhance the network lifetime, a fuzzy based two-level hierarchical routing protocol is proposed. The novelty of the proposal lies in identification of appropriate parameters used in Cluster Head and super Cluster Head selection. Experiments for different network scenarios are performed through both simulation and hardware to validate the proposal. The performance of the network is evaluated in terms of Node Death. The proposal is compared with F-sCH and the results reveal the efficacy of the proposal in enhancing the lifetime of network.

Treatment of a patient with aconitine poisoning using veno-arterial membrane oxygenation:A case report

BACKGROUND Aconitine poisoning is highly prone to causing malignant *** elimination of aconitine from the body takes a considerable amount of time,and during this period,patients are at a significant risk of death due to malignant arrhythmias associated with aconitine *** sUMMARY A 30-year-old male patient was admitted due to accidental ingestion of aconitinecontaining *** arrival at the emergency department,the patient intermittently experienced malignant arrhythmias including ventricular tachycardia,ventricular fibrillation,ventricular premature beats,and cardiac *** interventions such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation were promptly ***,veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(VA-ECMO)therapy was *** resuscitation was achieved before ECMO placement,but upon initiation of ECMO,the patient experienced recurrent malignant *** was utilized to maintain hemodynamics and respiration,while continuous blood purification therapy for toxin clearance,mechanical ventilation,and hypothermic brain protection therapy were concurrently *** the third day of VA-ECMO support,the patient’s respiratory and hemodynamic status stabilized,with only frequent ventricular premature beats observed on electrocardiographic monitoring,and echocardiography indicated recovery of cardiac contractile *** the fourth day,a significant reduction in toxin levels was observed,along with stable hemodynamic and respiratory *** a successful pump-controlled retrograde trial occlusion test,ECMO assistance was *** patient gradually improved postoperatively and achieved *** was discharged 11 days *** VA-ECMO can serve as a bridging resuscitation technique for patients with reversible malignant arrhythmias.

Efficacy of a Diabetes specific Nutrition supplement on Glycemic, Anthropometric, Dietary and Gut Health Markers in Adults with Type 2 Diabetes: An RCT

With increasing incidence of diabetes, use of diabetes specific nutrition supplements (DsNs) is common for better management of the disease. To study effect of 12-week DsNs supplementation on glycemic markers, anthropometry, lipid profile, sCFAs, and gut microbiome in individuals with diabetes. Markers studied were glycemic [Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG), Post Prandial Glucose (PPG), HbA1c, Incremental Area under curve (iAUC), Mean Amplitude of Glycemic Excursions (MAGE), Time in/above Range (TIR/TAR)], anthropometry [weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), waist circumference (WC)], lipid profile, diet and gut health [plasma short chain fatty acids (sCFAs)]. N = 210 adults were randomized to receive either DsNs with standard care (DsNs + sC;n = 105) or standard care alone (sC alone;n = 105). After 12 weeks, significant differences between DsNs + sC versus sC alone was observed in FBG [−3 ± 6 vs 14 ± 6 mg/dl;p = 0.03], PPG [−35 ± 9 vs −3 ± 9 mg/dl;p = 0.01], weight [−0.6 ± 0.1 vs 0.2 ± 0.1 kg;p = 0.0001], BMI [−0.3 ± 0.1 vs 0.1 ± 0.1 kg/m2;p = 0.0001] and WC [−0.3 ± 0.2 vs 0.2 ± 0.2 cm;p = 0.01]. HbA1C and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) were significantly reduced in DsNs + sC [−0.2 ± 0.9;p = 0.04 and −5 mg/dl;p = 0.03] respectively with no change in control. Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) reported significant differences between DsNs + sC versus sC alone for mean glucose [−12 ± 65 vs 28 ± 93 mg/dl;p s 7 ± 45 mg/dl;p = 0.04], TAR 250 [−3 ± 27 vs 9 ± 38 mg/dl;p = 0.05], iAUC [−192 (1.1) vs −48 (1.1) mg/dl;p = 0.03]. MAGE was significantly reduced for both DsNs + sC (−19 ± 67;p sC alone (−8 ± 70;p = 0.04), with reduction being more pronounced for DsNs + sC. Modeling a Novel Hyper-Parameter Tuned Deep Learning Enabled Malaria Parasite Detection and Classification

A theoretical methodology is suggested for finding the malaria parasites’presence with the help of an intelligent hyper-parameter tuned Deep Learning(DL)based malaria parasite detection and classification(HPTDL-MPDC)in the smear images of human peripheral *** existing approaches fail to predict the malaria parasitic features and reduce the prediction *** trained model initiated in the proposed system for classifying peripheral blood smear images into the non-parasite or parasite classes using the available online *** Adagrad optimizer is stacked with the suggested pre-trained Deep Neural Network(DNN)with the help of the contrastive divergence method to *** features are extracted from the images in the proposed system to train the DNN for initializing the visible *** smear images show the concatenated feature to be utilized as the feature vector in the proposed ***,hyper-parameters are used to fine-tune DNN to calculate the class labels’*** suggested system outperforms more modern methodologies with an accuracy of 91%,precision of 89%,recall of 93%and F1-score of 91%.The HPTDL-MPDC has the primary application in detecting the parasite of malaria in the smear images of human peripheral blood.

Provenance studies on the heavy mineral placers along the coastal deposits of Odisha,eastern India

The coastal deposits along the eastern part of the Indian Peninsula are known for the high abundance of heavy minerals. The present study, as discussed here, has been undertaken along the southwestern coastal part of Odisha, India, adjoining the charnockite-migmatite zone of the Eastern Ghat Mobile Belt(EGMB). The composition of the placers along the study area is primarily controlled by the detritus from the proximal hinterland rock type(s). The weathering index has been established based on the grain morphology, major element concentration and radioelement ratios. Petrological characteristics and grain morphology of monazite, zircon, ilmenite and rutile have been presented respectively, and their implications are discussed. The provenance study of these coastal placers is based on the abundance of rare earth elements(REE) and radioactive elements in the placer sands and the rock types in the study area. The tectonic implications are based on the major element abundance of the beach sands.

Anomaly Detection in social Media Texts Using Optimal Convolutional Neural Network
