Landslides in the Himalayan region are primarily controlled by natural parameters,including rainfall,seismic activity,and anthropogenic parameters,such as the construction of large-scale projects like road development,tunneling and hydroelectric power projects and climate *** parameters which are more crucial among these are a matter of scientific study and *** research,taking solan district,Himachal Pradesh,India,as the study area,aims to assess the impact of anthropogenic activities on landslide susceptibility at a regional *** distribution was characterized into two groups,namely Rainfall-Induced Landslide(RIL)and Human-Induced Landslide(HIL)based on triggering *** data such as slope angle,aspect,profile curvature,distance to drainage,distance to lineament,lithology,distance to road,normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and land use land cover(LULC)have been considered for delineating the landslide susceptibility zonation(LsZ)*** effect of anthropogenic activities on landslide occurrences has been examined through the distribution of landslides along national highways and land use land cover changes(LULCC).Two sets of LsZ maps with a LULC of time interval covering five years(2017&2021)were prepared to compare the temporal progression of LULC and landslide susceptibility during the five *** results indicated the significant impact of anthropogenic activities on the landslide *** map of the year 2021 shows that 23%area falls into high and very high susceptible classes and 48%area falls into very low and low susceptibility *** to LsZ map of 2017,high and very high susceptible classes have been increased by 15%,whereas very low and low susceptible classes have been reduced by 7%.The present case study will help to understand the potential driving parameters responsible for HIL and also suggest the inclusion of LULC in landslide susceptibility *** study will demonstrate new

This paper presents a methodology which determines the allocation of power demand among the committed generating units while minimizes number of objectives as well as meets physical and technological system constraints. The procedure considers two decoupled problems based upon the dependency of their goals on either active power or reactive power generation. Both the problems have been solved sequentially to achieve optimal allocation of active and reactive power generation while minimizes operating cost, gaseous pollutants emission objectives and active power transmission loss with consideration of system operating constraints along with generators prohibited operating zones and transmission line flow limits. The active and reactive power line flows are obtained with the help of generalized generation shift distribution factors （GGDF） and generalized Z-bus distribution factors （GZBDF）, respectively. First problem is solved in multi-objective framework in which the best weights assigned to objectives are determined while employing weighting method and in second problem, active power loss of the system is minimized subject to system constraints. The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated on 30-bus IEEE power system.

Composting is attractive and inexpensive method for treatment and biomass disposal of water hyacinth. However, the major disadvantage of water hyacinth composting is the high content of heavy metals in the final compost. Addition of lime sludge significantly reduced most bioavailable fractions （exchangeable and carbonate） of heavy metals. studies were carried on composting of water hyacinth （Eichhornia crassipes） with cattle manure and sawdust （6：3：1 ratio） and effects of addition of lime （1%, 2% and 3%） on heavy metal speciation were evaluated during 30 days of composting period. The Tessier sequential extraction method was employed to investigate the changes in speciation of heavy metals such as Zinc （Zn）, Copper （Cu）, Manganese （Mn）, Iron （Fe）, Lead （Pb）, Nickel （Ni）, Cadmium （Cd） and Chromium （Cr） during water hyacinth composting. Effects of physicochemical parameters such as temperature, pH and organic matter on speciation of heavy metals were also studied during the process. Results showed that, the total metal content was increased during the composting process. The higher reduction in bioavailability factor （BF） of Cu, Fe, Ni, Cd and Cr was observed in lime 2 treatment about 62.1%, 64.4%, 71.9%, 62.1% and 58.9% respectively; however higher reduction in BF of Zn and Pb was observed in lime 1 treatment during the composting process. Reducible and oxidizable fractions of Ni, Pb and Cd were not observed during the process. Addition of lime was very effective for reduction ofbioavailability of heavy metals during composting of water hyacinth with cattle manure and sawdust.

In multiobjective optimization, trade-off analysis plays an important role in determining most preferred solution. This paper presents an explicit interactive trade-off analysis based on the surrogate worth trade-off function to determine the best compromised solution. In the multiobjective framework thermal power dispatch problem is undertaken in which four objectives viz. cost, NOx emission, sOx emission and COx emission are minimized simultaneously. The interactive process is implemented using a weighting method by regulating the relative weights of objectives in systematic manner. Hence the weighting method facilitates to simulate the trade-offrelation between the conflicting objectives in non-inferior domain. Exploiting fuzzy decision making theory to access the indifference band, interaction with the decision maker is obtained via surrogate worth trade-off （sWT） functions of the objectives. The surrogate worth trade-off functions are constructed in the functional space and then transformed into the decision space, so the surrogate worth trade-off functions of objectives relate the decision maker＇s preferences to non-inferior solutions through optimal weight patterns. The optimal solution of thermal power dispatch problem is obtained by considering real and reactive power losses. Decoupled load flow analysis is performed to find the transmission losses. The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated on 11-bus, 17-lines IEEE system, comprising of three generators.

Photocatalysis of water with and without ultrasound was studied using rGO supported Cds catalyst utilizing visible light. A higher hydrogen production was observed when ultrasound was used. This is attributed to a faster removal of bubbles of hydrogen from the surface of photocatalyst due to the mechanical energy associated with ultrasound overcoming surface tension. It has been further reported that the rate of hydrogen production decreased with time due to reversible deactivation of catalyst. This has been attributed to decrease in rate of hydrogen desorption with time.

salt-tolerant plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria （PGPR） can play an important role in alleviating soil salinity stress during plant growth and bacterial exopolysaccharide （EPs） can also help to mitigate salinity stress by reducing the content of Na＋ available for plant uptake. In this study, native bacterial strains of wheat rhizosphere in soils of Varanasi, India, were screened to identify the EPs-producing salt-tolerant rhizobacteria with plant growth-promoting traits. The various rhizobacteria strains were isolated and identified using 16s rDNA sequencing. The plant growth-promoting effect of inoculation of seedlings with these bacterial strains was evaluated under soil salinity conditions in a pot experiment. Eleven bacterial strains which initially showed tolerance up to 80 g L-1 NaC1 also exhibited an EPs-producing potential. The results suggested that the isolated bacterial strains demonstrated some of the plant growth-promoting traits such as phosphate solubilizing ability and production of auxin, proline, reducing sugars, and total soluble sugars. Furthermore, the inoculated wheat plants had an increased biomass compared to the unoinoculated plants.

AIM: To study the mechanism of antimigraine activity of Tanacetum parthenium ( Feverfew), its extracts and parthenolide, a component of Feverfew, by observing their effect on 5-HT storage and release, and stimulation of 5-HT2B and 5-HT2A receptors. Also to standardize a dosage form of Feverfew with respect to its parthenolide content. METHODs: Isometric responses to 5-HT and an indirect acting serotonergic, d-fenfluramine, were obtained on rat fundus and ileum. In one set of experiments the effect of dichloromethane extract of Feverfew and parthenolide was observed on the above. The extract was then thermally degraded upto 10 %, 23 %, and 33 % with respect to its parthenolide content by keeping at 60℃ and 75 % relative humidity and the experiments were repeated. In another set of experiments rats were fed with 20 mg/kg Feverfew powder (equivalent to a human dose of 500 μg parthenolide per day) for 30 d or were ip injected with parthenolide (23.4 μg/day) for 7 d. BACKGROUND Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)is an essential therapeutic tool for biliary and pancreatic *** and elderly patients,especially those aged≥90 years are generally considered a higher-risk population for ERCP-related *** To investigate outcomes of ERCP in the Non-agenarian population(≥90 years)concerning *** This is a cohort study using the 2018-2020 National Readmission *** aged≥90 were identified who underwent ERCP,using the international classification of diseases-10 code with clinical *** Hopkins’s adjusted clinical groups frailty indicator was used to classify patients as frail and *** primary outcome was mortality,and the secondary outcomes were morbidity and the 30 d readmission rate related to *** used univariate and multivariate regression models for *** A total of 9448 patients were admitted for any indications of *** and non-frail patients were 3445(36.46%)and 6003(63.53%)*** for ERCP were Choledocholithiasis(74.84%),Biliary pancreatitis(9.19%),Pancreatico-biliary cancer(7.6%),Biliary stricture(4.84%),and Cholangitis(1.51%).Mortality rates were higher in frail group[adjusted odds ratio(aOR)=1.68,P=0.02].The Intra-procedural complications were insigni-ficant between the two groups which included bleeding(aOR=0.72,P=0.67),accidental punctures/lacerations(aOR=0.77,P=0.5),and mechanical ventilation rates(aOR=1.19,P=0.6).Post-ERCP complication rate was similar for bleeding(aOR=0.72,P=0.41)and post-ERCP pancreatitis(aOR=1.4,P=0.44).Frail patients had a longer length of stay(6.7 d vs 5.5 d)and higher mean total charges of hospitalization($78807 vs$71392)compared to controls(Pse readmission rates between frail and non-frail patients were similar(P=0.96).CONCLUsION There was a significantly higher mortality risk and healthcare burden amongst nonagenarian frail patients undergoing ERCP compared
