代谢功能障碍相关脂肪性肝病（MAsLD），已成为全球范围内最为常见的慢性肝病，影响约24%的成年人口。其更为严重的进展阶段——代谢功能障碍相关脂肪性肝炎（MAsH），在临床上以显著的肝损伤、炎症浸润及纤维化表现为特征。MAsH进展极大地增加了肝硬化及肝细胞癌的发生风险，并已成为肝移植的主要病因之一。成纤维细胞生长因子21(FGF21)及其类似物对MAsH的显著治疗效果已在多项临床或临床前试验中得到证实，如FGF21类似物pegbelfermin、efruxifermin或pegozafermin治疗可显著改善MAsH患者的肝脏脂肪含量和肝脏硬度，降低肝损伤和血浆纤维化标志物水平。然而，FGF21信号是如何转导和调节MAsH的，以及肝细胞是否是FGF21的主要药理靶点，在很大程度上仍然不明确。

Hippocampal neuronal loss causes cognitive dysfunction in Alzheimer’s *** hippocampal neurogenesis is reduced in patients with Alzheimer’s *** stimulates adult hippocampal neurogenesis in rodents and improves memory and slows cognitive decline in patients with Alzheimer’s ***,the molecular pathways for exercise-induced adult hippocampal neurogenesis and improved cognition in Alzheimer’s disease are poorly ***,regulator of G protein signaling 6(RGs6)was identified as the mediator of voluntary running-induced adult hippocampal neurogenesis in ***,we generated novel RGs6fl/fl;APP_(sWE) mice and used retroviral approaches to examine the impact of RGs6 deletion from dentate gyrus neuronal progenitor cells on voluntary running-induced adult hippocampal neurogenesis and cognition in an amyloid-based Alzheimer’s disease mouse *** found that voluntary running in APP_(sWE) mice restored their hippocampal cognitive impairments to that of control *** cognitive rescue was abolished by RGs6 deletion in dentate gyrus neuronal progenitor cells,which also abolished running-mediated increases in adult hippocampal *** hippocampal neurogenesis was reduced in sedentary APP_(sWE) mice versus control mice,with basal adult hippocampal neurogenesis reduced by RGs6 deletion in dentate gyrus neural precursor ***6 was expressed in neurons within the dentate gyrus of patients with Alzheimer’s disease with significant loss of these RGs6-expressing ***,RGs6 mediated voluntary running-induced rescue of impaired cognition and adult hippocampal neurogenesis in APP_(sWE) mice,identifying RGs6 in dentate gyrus neural precursor cells as a possible therapeutic target in Alzheimer’s disease.

Environmental impact of radionuclide migration in groundwater from a low intermediate level radioactive waste repository

The radionuclide migration from a certain Chinese repository with low-intermediate level radioactive solid waste is studied. The migration in groundwater is analyzed and computed in detail. Under presumption of normal releasing, or the bottom of the repository has been marinated for one month with precipitation reaching 600 mm once and a 6 m aerated zone exists, a prediction for 7 radionuclides is conducted. It shows that the aerated zone is the primary barrier for migration. The migration for radionuclides 60Co, 137Cs, 90sr, 63Ni, etc. will be retarded in it within 500 years. The concentration of 239Pu will be decreased by amount of 6 order. Only 3H and 14C can migrate through the aerated zone. The radionuclides that go through the aerated zone and enter the aquifer will exist in spring, stream and sea. Based on this, the intake dose by residents in different age group resulting from drinking contaminated spring water, eating seafood is calculated. The results showed that the impact of the repository to the key resident group is lower than the limit in national repository regulation standard. This complies with the repository management target.

Hepatocellular carcinoma remains a significant cause of mortality worldwide,particularly among patients with liver *** most cases,surveillance in cirrhotic patients is neglected,leading to a diagnosis when the neoplasm is at an advanced *** this context,zhou et al carried out a network metaanalysis to demonstrate the effectiveness of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy,concluding that it is a superior approach compared to sorafenib and transarterial chemoembolization in the treatment of advanced hepatocellular ***,the meta-analysis in question lacks methodological rigor,preventing the authors from making more definitive ***,we understand that transarterial chemoembolization,when properly indicated,is a highly effective therapeutic option,and that sorafenib,given the results of new therapies based on immune checkpoint inhibitors,is no longer the recommended drug for the treatment of these ***,we believe the use of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy is increasingly limited and lacks strong scientific support.

The metabolite lactate (L-lactate) can be generated and released by diverse brain cells,including neurons,astrocytes,and oligodendrocytes (Kann,2023;Rae et al.,2024).Lactate production usually requires the degradation of glucose (D-glucose)-and glycogen in astrocytes-to pyruvate by glycolysis and subsequent conversion of pyruvate to lactate by the enzyme lactate dehydrogenase(Figure 1A;Dienel,2019;Rae et al.,2024).

This paper presents a nonlinear micropolar nonclassical continuum theory (MPNCCT) for finite deformation, finite strain deformation physics of thermosviscoelastic solid medium with memory (polymeric micropolar solids) based on classical rotations cΘand their rates. Contravariant second Piola-Kirchhoff stress and moment tensors, in conjunction with finite deformation measures derived by the authors in recent paper, are utilized in deriving the conservation and balance laws and the constitutive theories based on conjugate pairs in entropy inequality and the representation theorem. This nonlinear MPNCCT for TVEs with rheology: 1) incorporates nonlinear ordered rate dissipation mechanism based on Green’s strain rates up to order n;2) also incorporates an additional ordered rate dissipation mechanism due to microconstituents, the viscosity of the medium and the rates of the symmetric part of the rotation gradient (of cΘ) tensor up to order n, referred to as micropolar dissipation or micropolar viscous dissipation mechanism;3) incorporates the primary mechanism of memory or rheology due to long chain molecules of the polymer and the viscosity of the medium by using the contravaraint second Piola-Kirchhoff stress tensor and its rates up to order m, resulting in a relaxation spectrum;4) incorporates second mechanism of memory or rheology due to nonclassical physics, interaction of microconstituents with the viscous medium and long chain molecules by considering rates of the contravariant second Piola-Kirchhoff moment tensor up to order m, resulting in relaxation of second Piola-Kirchhoff moment tensor. This results in another relaxation spectrum for the second Piola-Kirchhoff moment tensor due to microconstituents, referred to as micropolar relaxation spectrum consisting of micropolar relaxation time constants of the material. Analysis of convective-radiative heat transfer in dovetail longitudinal fins with shape-dependent hybrid nanofluids: a study using the Hermite wavelet method

A distinguished category of operational fluids, known as hybrid nanofluids,occupies a prominent role among various fluid types owing to its superior heat transfer properties. By employing a dovetail fin profile, this work investigates the thermal reaction of a dynamic fin system to a hybrid nanofluid with shape-based properties, flowing uniformly at a velocity U. The analysis focuses on four distinct types of nanoparticles,i.e., Al2O3, Ag, carbon nanotube (CNT), and graphene. specifically, two of these particles exhibit a spherical shape, one possesses a cylindrical form, and the final type adopts a platelet morphology. The investigation delves into the pairing of these *** examination employs a combined approach to assess the constructional and thermal exchange characteristics of the hybrid nanofluid. The fin design, under the specified circumstances, gives rise to the derivation of a differential equation. The given equation is then transformed into a dimensionless form. Notably, the Hermite wavelet method is introduced for the first time to address the challenge posed by a moving fin submerged in a hybrid nanofluid with shape-dependent features. To validate the credibility of this research, the results obtained in this study are systematically compared with the numerical simulations. The examination discloses that the highest heat flux is achieved when combining nanoparticles with spherical and platelet shapes.

Thermal fracture analysis of two collinear cracks in a functionally graded medium based on the three-phase-lag model

The three-phase-lag(TPL) heat conduction model is an accurate representation of the actual heat transfer process. It would be interesting to investigate how the TPL model affects the thermal fracture behavior when there are defects existing in the medium. This paper aims to analyze the thermoelastic responses of two collinear cracks within a functionally graded half-space under thermal loadings by means of the TPL model. The thermoelastic problem is transformed into a series of singular integral equations using the integral transformation methods. The transient temperature and stress intensity factors(sIFs) are obtained through the application of Chebyshev *** effects of crack spacing and non-homogeneous parameters on the transient thermoelastic responses are presented, and the results of the TPL model are compared with those of the Fourier model, Cattaneo and Vernotte(CV) model, and dual-phase-lag(DPL)model. It is shown that crack spacing and non-homogeneous parameters have important effects on the thermoelastic responses, and the fluctuation phenomenon under the TPL model is the most pronounced due to the existence of the thermal displacement lag term.
