Here, undoped and Cu doped ZnO nanoparticles(NPs) have been prepared by chemical co-precipitation technique. X-ray diffraction(XRD) results reveal that Cu ions are successfully doped into ZnO matrix without altering its wurtzite phase. The single wurtzite phase of ZnO is retained even for 10 wt% Cu doped ZnO sample. It is observed from the electron microscopy results that higher level of Cu doping varies the morphology of ZnO NPs from spherical to flat NPs. Moreover, the particle size is found to increase with the increase in Cu doping level. Raman spectroscopy results further confirm that Cu dopant has not altered the wurtzite structure of ZnO. Impedance spectroscopy results reveal that the dielectric constant and dielectric loss have increasing trend with Cu doping. Cu doping has been found to slightly decrease the bactericidal potency of ZnO nanoparticles.

Optical emission spectroscopic measurement of trace rare gas is carried out to determine the density of nitrogen （N） atom, in a nitrogen plasma, as a function of filling pressure and RF power applied. 2% of argon, used as an actinometer, is mixed with nitrogen. In order to normalize the changes in the excitation cross section and electron energy distribution function at different operational conditions, the Ar-I emission line at 419.83 nm is used, which is of nearly the same excitation efficiency coefficient as that of the nitrogen emission line at 493.51 nm. It is observed that the emission intensity of the selected argon and atomic nitrogen lines increases with both pressure and RF power, as does the nitrogen atomic density.

smart manufacturing is a process that optimizes factory performance and production quality by utilizing various technologies including the Internet of Things(IoT)and artificial intelligence(AI).Quality control is an important part of today’s smart manufacturing process,effectively reducing costs and enhancing operational *** technology in the industry becomes more advanced,identifying and classifying defects has become an essential element in ensuring the quality of products during the manufacturing *** this study,we introduce a CNN model for classifying defects on hot-rolled steel strip surfaces using hybrid deep learning techniques,incorporating a global average pooling(GAP)layer and a machine learning-based sVM classifier,with the aim of enhancing ***,features are extracted by the VGG19 convolutional ***,after processing through the GAP layer,the extracted features are fed to the sVM classifier for *** this purpose,we collected images from publicly available datasets,including the Xsteel surface defect dataset(XsDD)and the NEU surface defect(NEU-CLs)datasets,and we employed offline data augmentation techniques to balance and increase the size of the *** outcome of experiments shows that the proposed methodology achieves the highest metrics score,with 99.79%accuracy,99.80%precision,99.79%recall,and a 99.79%F1-score for the NEU-CLs ***,it achieves 99.64%accuracy,99.65%precision,99.63%recall,and a 99.64%F1-score for the XsDD dataset.A comparison of the proposed methodology to the most recent study showed that it achieved superior results as compared to the other studies.

通过中线旁通路施行膀胱缝合,膀胱内放导管三周,使变干的磷酸盐结石经尿道直接排出,成功地治愈了膀胱破裂。以后,封闭导管外口,使尿液通过尿道排出。由于尿液的刺激作用发生了轻度的腹膜炎,经用生理盐水,2％盐酸普鲁卡因和四环素溶液,通过腹腔内导管连续灌洗腹膜腔治疗了五天。在公牛和阉牛膀胱颈或尿道的阻塞以后,如果未正规的施行适当治疗,造成膀胱破裂极为常见。尿道的损伤与尿道狭窄也可造成膀胱破裂。这些病例通常不用保守疗法。各种手术疗方法中,喜欢用的是坐骨部尿道切开与膀胱插管术,阴囊后的尿道切开和尿道插管术,膀胱缝合术。通过中线或中线旁切口,或以站立保定在左侧腹胁垂直切口的膀胱缝合术,都有不同程度获得成功的报导。本报导涉及到缝合并通过固定在膀胱内一条导管直接排尿来修复。Noordsy和Trootter(1963)、Hasting(1964)和Buchholz(1968)也报导过与此相似的方法。

The present study explores the physical and acoustic characteristics of fine sand and clay in novel seabed marine sediments from of Pakistan coastline of the Arabian *** measured physical parameters included mean grain size,mass density,bulk density,salinity,porosity,permeability,pore size and mineralogical *** properties,including sound speed and attenuation,in the high frequency range of 90-170 kHz were analyzed.A controlled laboratory setup with the acoustic transmission method and Fourier transform techniques was utilized to examine the sound propagation and absorption of novel seabed *** standard deviation of mean sound speed in fresh water was 0.75 m/s,and attenuation was observed in the range of 0.43 to 0.61 dB/*** mean sound velocity in sand and clay varied from 1706 to 1709 m/s and 1602 to 1608 m/s,*** average attenuation was observed at 80 to 93 dB/m in sandy sediments and from 31.8 to 38.6 dB/m in clayey *** velocity variation within sandy sediment is low,consistent with expected results,and smaller than the predicted ***,clay sediment exhibited a positive linear correlation and low sound speed *** increased linearly with frequency for both ***,the laboratory results were validated by using the Biot−stoll *** dispersion of sound speed in sandy and clayey sediments was consistent with the predictions of the Biot−stoll *** attenuation aligned more with Biot−stoll model predictions due to improved permeability,tortuosity and pore size parameter fitting.

Toward sustainable waste management in small islands developing states: integrated waste-to-energy solutions in Maldives context

Effective waste management is a major challenge for small Island Developing states (sIDs) like Maldives due to limited land availability. Maldives exemplifies these issues as one of the most geographically dispersed countries, with a population unevenly distributed across numerous islands varying greatly in size and population density. This study provides an in-depth analysis of the unique waste management practices across different regions of Maldives in relation to its natural and socioeconomic context. Data shows Maldives has one of the highest population density and per capita waste generation among sIDs, despite its small land area and medium GDP per capita. Large disparities exist between the densely populated capital Male’ with only 5.8 km2 area generating 63% of waste and the ~194 scattered outer islands with ad hoc waste management practices. Given Male’s dense population and high calorific waste, incineration could generate up to ~30 GW/a energy and even increase Maldives’ renewable energy supply by 200%. In contrast, decentralized anaerobic digestion presents an optimal solution for outer islands to reduce waste volume while providing over 40%–100% energy supply for daily cooking in local families. This timely study delivers valuable insights into designing context-specific waste-to-energy systems and integrated waste policies tailored to Maldives’ distinct regions. The framework presented can also guide other sIDs facing similar challenges as Maldives in establishing sustainable, ecologically sound waste management strategies.

MXene has garnered widespread recognition in the scientific com-munity due to its remarkable properties,including excellent thermal stability,high conductivity,good hydrophilicity and dispersibility,easy processability,tunable surface properties,and admirable *** have been categorized into different families based on the number of M and X layers in M_(n+1)X_(n),such as M_(2)X,M_(3)X_(2),M_(4)X_(3),and,recently,M_(5)X_(4).Among these families,M_(2)X and M_(3)X_(2),par-ticularly Ti_(3)C_(2),have been greatly explored while limited studies have been given to M_(5)X_(4)MXene ***,studies on the M_(4)X_(3)MXene family have developed recently,hence,demanding a compilation of evaluated ***,this review provides a systematic overview of the latest advancements in M_(4)X_(3)MXenes,focusing on their properties and applications in energy storage *** objective of this review is to provide guidance to researchers on fostering M_(4)X_(3)MXene-based nanomaterials,not only for energy storage devices but also for broader applications.
