Background The exact influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on sexual intercourse and usage of contraception remains largely uncharted *** bridge this gap in knowledge,we conducted a comprehensive,cross.s.ctional examination of long-term trends in the prevalence of sexual intercourse and usage of contraception among south Korean adolescents from 2006 to *** In our research,we drew upon data encompassing 1,138,799 south Korean adolescents aged 12 to 18 years,derived from the Korean Youth Risk Behavior Web-based survey(KYRBs)over a period spanning from 2006 to *** focused on the prevalence of sexual intercourse,contraception utilization,and the underlying associated factors among this *** KYRBs data was collected using a complex sampling strategy to determine the national prevalence estimates and shifts in prevalence before(2006-2019)and during(2020-2022)the COVID-19 pandemic *** During the pre-pandemic period,a decrease in adolescent sexual intercourse was observed(6.34%in 2006,5.53%in 2012,and 5.87%in 2019).However,in the post-pandemic period(2020-2022),there was a surge in sexual intercourse(4.55%in 2020 and 6.20%in 2022).This evident alteration in sexual intercourse trajectory between pre-and post-pandemic periods was.s.atistically significant[βdiff,0.950;95%confidence interval(CI),0.756-1.144].Regarding contraceptive use among south Korean adolescents,there was an increase in the pre-COVID-19 pandemic phase across all demographic segments(14.61%in 2006,22.30%in 2012,and 47.69%in 2022)but a notable decline when compared with the pre-and post-pandemic periods(βdiff,-0.319;95%CI,-0.454 to-0.184).Additionally,during the study period,a decrease in sexual intercourse was observed in the pre-pandemic period(β,-0.129;95%CI,-0.148 to-0.110),followed by an increase in the post-pandemic period(β,0.821;95%CI,0.627 to 1.014).This.s.ift is highlighted by an effect size of 0.96[weighted odds ratio(wOR);95%CI,0.92 to 1.00],indicating a subst

In spite of the high potential economic feasibility of the tandem solar cells cons.s.ing of the halide perovskite and the kesterite Cu2Znsn(s.s.)4(CZTsse),they have rarely been demonstrated due to the difficulty in implementing solution-processed perovskite top cell on the rough surface of the bottom ***,we firstly demonstrate an efficient monolithic two-terminal perovskite/CZTsse tandem solar cell by significantly reducing the surface roughness of the electrochemically deposited CZTsse bottom *** surface roughness(R_(rms))of the CZTsse thin film could be reduced from 424 to 86 nm by using the potentiostatic mode rather than using the conventional galvanostatic mode,which can be further reduced to 22 nm after the subsequent ion-milling *** perovskite top cell with a bandgap of 1.65 eV could be prepared using a solution process on the flattened CZTsse bottom cell,resulting in the efficient perovskite/CZTsse tandem solar *** the current matching between two subcells involving the thickness control of the perovskite layer,the best performing tandem device exhibited a high conversion efficiency of 17.5%without the hysteres.s.effect.

Cus is an encouraging photoelectrode candidate that meets the essential requirements for efficient solar-to-hydrogen production,but it has not been thoroughly studied.A Cus light absorber layer is grown by the self-assembly of copper and sulfur precursors on a carbon paper(CP)***,rGO is introduced as a buffer layer to control the optical and electrical properties of the *** well-ordered microstructural arrangement suppress.s.the recombination loss of electrons and holes owing to enhanced charge-carrier generation,separation,and *** potential reaching 10 mA cm^(-2)in 1.0 M KOH solution is.s.gnificantly lowered to 0.87 V,and the photocurrent density at 1.23 V is 94.7 mA cm^(-2).The computational result reveals that the potential-determining step is.s.nsitive to O^(*)stability;the lower stability of O^(*)in the thin layer of Cus/rGO decreas.s.the free-energy gap between the initial and final states of the potential-determining step,resulting in a lowering of the onset *** faradaic efficiency for the photoelectrochemical oxygen evolution reaction in the optimized 2Cus/1rGO/CP photoanode is 98.60%,and the applied bias photon-to-current and the solar-to-hydrogen efficiencies are 11.2%and 15.7%,respectively,and its ultra-high performance is maintained for 250 *** record-breaking achievement indices may be a trigger for establishing a green hydrogen economy.

The circadian clock entrained by environmental light-dark cycles enables plants to fine-tune diurnal growth and developmental ***,we show that physical interactions among evening clock components,including PsEUDO-REsPONsE REGULATOR 5(PRR5),TIMING OF CAB EXPREssION 1(TOC1),and the Evening Complex(EC)component EARLY FLOWERING 3(ELF3),define a diurnal repressive chromatin structure specifically at the PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTOR 4(PIF4)locus in *** three clock components act interdependently as well as independently to repress nighttime hypocotyl elongation,as hypocotyl elongation rate dramatically increased specifically at nighttime in the prr5-1 toc1-21 elf3-1 mutant,concomitantly with a substantial increase in PIF4 *** repression of PIF4 by ELF3,PRR5,and TOC1 is mediated by the sWI2/sNF2-RELATED(sWR1)chromatin remodeling complex,which incorporates histone H2A.Z at thePIF4 locus,facilitating robust epigenetic suppression ofPIF4 during the ***,these findings demonstrate that the PRR-EC-sWR1 complex repress.s.hypocotyl elongation at night through a distinctive chromatin domain covering PIF4 chromatin.

single-ion conductors based on covalent organic frameworks(COFs)have garnered attention as a potential alternative to currently prevalent inorganic ion conductors owing to their structural uniqueness and chemical ***,the sluggish Li+conduction has hindered their practical ***,we present a class of solvent-free COF single-ion conductors(Li-COF@P)based on weak ion-dipole interaction as opposed to traditional strong ion-ion *** ion(Li+from the COF)-dipole(oxygen from poly(ethylene glycol)diacrylate embedded in the COF pores)interaction in the Li-COF@P promotes ion dissociation and Li+migration via directional ionic *** by this.s.ngle-ion transport behavior,the Li-COF@P enables reversible Li plating/stripping on Li-metal electrodes and stable cycling performance(88.3%after 2000 cycles)in organic batteries(Li metal anode||5,5’-dimethyl-2,2’-bis-p-benzoquinone(Me2BBQ)cathode)under ambient operating conditions,highlighting the electrochemical viability of the Li-COF@P for all-solid-state organic batteries.

Accurately measuring magnetic fields is essential for magnetic-field sensitive experiments in areas like atomic,molecular,and optical physics,condensed matter experiments,and other ***,since many experiments are often conducted in an isolated environment that is inaccessible to experimentalis.s.it can be challenging to accurately determine the magnetic field at the target ***,we propose an efficient method for detecting magnetic fields with the ass.s.ance of an artificial neural network(NN).Instead of measuring the magnetic field directly at the desired location,we detect fields at several surrounding positions,and a trained NN can accurately predict the magnetic field at the target *** training,we achieve a below 0.3%relative prediction error of magnetic field magnitude at the center of the vacuum chamber,and successfully apply this method to our erbium quantum gas apparatus for accurate calibration of magnetic field and long-term monitoring of environmental stray magnetic *** demonstrated approach significantly simplifies the process of determining magnetic fields in isolated environments and can be applied to various research fields across a wide range of magnetic field magnitudes.

Ambient temperature affects flowering time in plants,and the MADs-box transcription factor sHORT VEGETATIVE PHAsE(sVP)plays a crucial role in the response to changes in ambient *** protein stability is regulated by the 26s proteasome pathway and decreas.s.at high ambient temperature,but the details of sVP degradation are ***,we show that sVP degradation at high ambient temperature is mediated by the CULLIN3–RING E3 ubiquitin ligase(CRL3)complex in Arabidops.s.*** identified a previously uncharacterized protein that interacts with sVP at high ambient temperature and contains a BTB/POZ *** named this protein LATE FLOWERING AT HIGH TEMPERATURE 1(LFH1).single mutants of LFH1 or CULLIN3A(CUL3A)showed late flowering specifically at 27***1 protein levels increased at high ambient *** found that LFH1 interacts with CUL3A in the cytoplasm and is important for sVP–CUL3A complex *** in CUL3A and/or LFH1 led to increased sVP protein stability at high ambient temperature,suggesting that the CUL3–LFH1 complex functions in sVP *** E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes(UBCs)using RING-BOX PROTEIN 1(RBX1),a component of the CRL3 complex,as bait identified ***15 mutants also showed late flowering at high ambient *** vitro and in vivo ubiquitination assays using recombinant CUL3A,LFH1,RBX1,and UBC15 showed that sVP is highly ubiquitinated in an ATP-dependent ***,these results indicate that the degradation of sVP at high ambient temperature is mediated by a CRL3 complex comprising CUL3A,LFH1,and UBC15.

Background. We report a case of adenocarcinoma arising in a vaginal müllerian cyst. Although the most common pathological type of vaginal cys.s.is müllerian cyst, malignant change of a müllerian cyst has not been reported before. Case. A 48-year-old woman presented with a 3 cm-sized ruptured vaginal cyst. The cyst had been asymptomatic for 20 years, but ruptured 2 months before her visit. After the diagnos.s.of atypical glands was made on punch biopsy of cyst wall, she underwent an operative excision and the final histopathologic examination revealed an adenocarcinoma arising in the müllerian cyst. After the surgery, she received a course of external radiation therapy followed by brachytherapy. At 6 months following treatment, the patient remained without evidence of disease. Conclusion. To our knowledge, this is the first case report of an adenocarcinoma arising from a müllerian cyst. The possibility of malignant transformation should be considered and careful follow-up is warranted even in cas.s.of asymptomatic vaginal cys.s.

Monoclinic BiVO_(4) is a widely researched semiconductor in solar water splitting owing to its.s.itable characteristics. However, BiVO_(4) faces limitations, such as the inefficient separation and transportation of photogenerated charges in the bulk and poor catalytic water oxidation reactions at the surface that affect the water-splitting efficiency. In this work, the Cs intercalation strategy at the surface of BiVO_(4) is proposed for the enhanced water splitting to H_(2) and O_(2) productions via the effective separation and transportation photogenerated charges and improved surface catalytic water oxidation reactions. The Cs ions are found to intercalate at the surface of BiVO_(4) and regulate the oxygen vacancies to provide active O_(2) production sites and stability. The surface intercalation of Cs boos.s.the photocurrent to 1.89 mA cm^(-2)at 1.23 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE). A stoichiometric evolution of H_(2) and O_(2) is recorded with a faradaic efficiency of 92%. The open-circuit voltage measurements confirmed the increase in the carrier lifetime with the work function tuning upon Cs intercalation. The proposed Cs intercalation strategy sugges.s.an effective route to suppress the charge recombination with an increase in carrier lifetime and charge separation in BiVO_(4) for the enhanced PEC application.
