We present and experimentally study the effects of the photonic spin–orbit coupling on the real space propagation of polariton wavepackets in planar semiconductor microcavities and polaritonic analogues of *** particular,we demonstrate the appearance of an analogue Zitterbewegung effect,a term which translates as‘trembling motion’in English,which was originally proposed for relativistic Dirac electrons and cons.sted of the oscillations of the centre of mass of a wavepacket in the direction perpendicular to its *** a planar microcavity,we observe regular Zitterbewegung oscillations whose amplitude and period depend on the wavevector of the *** then extend these results to a honeycomb lattice of coupled microcavity *** to the planar cavity,such lattices are inherently more tuneable and versatile,allowing simulation of the Hamiltonians of a wide range of important physical *** observe an oscillation pattern related to the presence of the spin-split Dirac cones in the *** both cas.s,the experimentally observed oscillations are in good agreement with theoretical modelling and independently measured bandstructure parameters,providing strong evidence for the observation of Zitterbewegung.

Electromagnetic(EM)wave absorbers with wideband absorption capability are proposed as a strategy to mitigate environmental pollution by EM ***,designing an EM absorber with its performance capacity independent of the EM wave incident angle remains elusive to *** this challenge requires development of EM absorbers whose EM absorption performance is insensitive to the EM wave incident ***,we synthesized EM absorbers with a variety of structures with different symme-tries(including micro-/nanospheres,nanoflakes and nanotubes)to study the effect of the EM absorbers.structure and the EM wave incident angle on the EM absorption *** analys.s reveals that non-magnetic EM absorbers with spatially symmetric nanostructures exhibit excellent EM wave incident ***,we demonstrate that a class of non-magnetic EM absorbers made from bam-boo derived-carbon nanospheres exhibit EM incident angle-insensitivity and wideband EM absorption performance with an effective absorption band up to 3.5 GHz when the thickness is 1.4 mm,a signif-icant improvement from prior studies which used thickness.s as high as 3-4 mm for comparable EM absorption performance.

Achieving superior performance of nanoparticle s.stems is one of the biggest challenges in *** major phenomena,occurring during the reactions,hinder the development of the full potential of nanoparticle catalys.s:sintering and contamination with carbon containing species.sometimes called ***,we demonstrate that Ir nanocrystals,arranged into periodic networks on hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)supports,can be restored without sintering after contamination by pers.stent *** restoration yields the complete removal of carbon from the nanocrystals,which keep their crystalline structure,allowing operation without *** findings,together with the possibility of fine tuning the nanocrystals.size,confer this nanoparticle s.stem a great potential as a testbed to extract key information about catalys.s-mediated oxidation *** the case of the CO oxidation by O2,reaction of interest in environmental science and green energy production,the existence of chemical process.s not observed before in other nanoparticle s.stems is demonstrated.

The accuracy between ordinary kriging and regression kriging was compared based on the combined consideration of sample size,spatial structure,and auxiliary variables(terrain indices and electromagnetic induction surveys) for a variety of soil properties in two contrasting landscapes(agricultural ***).When spatial structure could not be well captured by point-based observations(e.g.,when the ratio of sample spacing over correlation range was > 0.5),or when a strong relationship existed between target soil properties and auxiliary variables(e.g.,their R2 was > 0.6),regression kriging(RK) was more accurate for interpolating soil properties in both landscapes ***,ordinary kriging(OK) was *** depth and wetness condition did not appear to affect the selection of kriging for soil moisture interpolation,because they did not significantly change the ratio of sample spacing over correlation range and the relationship with the auxiliary *** of a smaller ratio of elevation change over total study area(E/A = 1.2) and multiple parent materials in the agricultural land,OK was generally more accurate in that *** contrast,a larger E/A ratio of 6.8 and a single parent material led to RK being preferable in the steep-sloped forested *** results from this.study can be useful for selecting kriging for various.soil properties and landscapes.

In this investigation,some different approaches are implemented for analyzing a generalized forced damped complex Duffing oscillator,including the hybrid homotopy perturbation method(H-HPM),which is.sometimes called the Krylov-Bogoliubov-Mitropolsky(KBM)method and the multiple scales method(MsM).All mentioned methods are applied to obtain some accurate and stable approximations to the proposed problem without decoupling the original *** obtained approximations are discussed graphically using different numerical values to the relevant ***,all obtained approximate solutions are compared with the 4thorder Runge-Kutta(RK4)numerical *** maximum residual distance error(MRDE)is also estimated,in order to verify the high accuracy of the obtained analytic approximations.

In many regions,international power s.stem interconnections provide economic,energy-security,environmental,and technical *** contrast,such interconnections remain scarce in Northeast *** 2016,after approving a joint memorandum of understanding between major electric power companies from China,Japan,south Korea,and Russia,related initiatives regained momentum in the ***,the corresponding developments in Japan remain limited,mainly owing to the lack of involvement of Japanese electric power *** study represents a pioneering attempt to provide an economic ass.ssment based on power exchange prices of a power s.stem interconnection between Japan and south Korea regarding the competitiveness of electric power companies in terms of competitive business.segments and strategic *** found that although the position of Japanese generators may slightly deteriorate,that of the supply segment would substantially improve,thus.suggesting that more opportunities than threats are derived from the *** promising outcome may foster the adoption of an interconnection with south Korea considering the positive economic and business perspectives in ***,realizing the interconnection may improve the energy security and air quality in the region.

The effects of different experimental conditions on the dry sliding wear behavior of stainless.steel surface produced by plasma transferred arc （PTA） hardfacing process were studied. The wear test was conducted in a pinon-roller wear testing machine, at constant sliding distance of 1 kin. Mathematical models were developed to estimate wear rate incorporating with rotational speed, applied load and roller hardness using statistical tools.such as design of experiments, regression analys.s and analys.s of variance. It is found that the wear res.stance of the PTA hardfaced stainless.steel surface is better than that of the carbon steel substrate.

We investigate the DC transport properties of 60V_(2)O_(5)-5P_(2)O_(5)-(35-x)B_(2)O_(3)-xDy_(2)O_(3)(x=0.4,0.6,0.8,1.0 and 1.2 mol%)glass.s as function of temperature which were prepared using the conventional melt-quenching *** glass.s are characterised by thermo gravimetric-differential thermal analys.s(TG-DTA).Activation energy(E_(DC))is obtained from Arrhenius plots of temperature-dependent DC conductivity,and it is found to be 0.30 eV for high conducting *** order to understand the role of Dy_(2)O_(3) in these glass.s,the density and molar volume are *** results.show that molar volume of the glass increas.s with the increasing of Dy2O_(3) *** ionic conductivity is found to be dominant over the electronic conductivity and varies between 82%and 96%.
