Highway safety researchers focus on crash injury severity,utilizing deep learning—specifically,deep neural networks(DNN),deep convolutional neural networks(D-CNN),and deep recurrent neural networks(D-rNN)—as the preferred method for modeling accident *** learning’s strength lies in handling intricate relation-ships within extensive datasets,making it popular for accident severity level(AsL)prediction and *** prior success,there is a need for an efficient system recognizing AsL in diverse road *** address this,we present an innovative Accident severity Level Prediction Deep Learning(AsLP-DL)framework,incorporating DNN,D-CNN,and D-rNN models fine-tuned through iterative hyperparameter selection with stochastic Gradient *** framework optimizes hidden layers and integrates data augmentation,Gaussian noise,and dropout regularization for improved *** and factor contribution analyses identify influential *** on three diverse crash record databases—NCDB 2018–2019,UK 2015–2020,and Us 2016–2021—the D-rNN model excels with an ACC score of 89.0281%,a roc Area of 0.751,an F-estimate of 0.941,and a Kappa score of 0.0629 over the NCDB *** proposed framework consistently outperforms traditional methods,existing machine learning,and deep learning techniques.

Introduction:Tonsillectomy is one of the most common procedures performed in *** are various methods to perform tonsillectomies(cold and hot).Thermal damage and inflammation of the surrounding tissue using monopolar cautery is said to point to increased pain whereas immediate cooling of the burnt area is thought to reduce pain owing to heat *** objective was to determine the difference in mean post‐tonsillectomy pain scores among patients irrigated with cold water(4℃)and in patients not irrigated with cold *** and Methods:A quasi‐experimental trial was conducted from January 2016 to December 2017 at a tertiary care *** tonsillectomies were carried out with monopolar cautery at a power of 20 *** either received cold water irrigation post tonsillectomy of the tonsillar bed(intervention arm)or no irrigation(control arm).The pain score was measured on Days 0,1,3,5,and *** scores were charted on a visual analog scale on the respective ***:seventy‐eight patients were included in the *** mean age of our patients was 10.26(4.24)years old in the intervention arm,and 11.95(4.19)years old in the control *** was observed that the pain was significantly lower in patients with cold water irrigation of the tonsillar fossa on Days 1,3,5,and 7(p=0.001).There were no readmissions postprocedure and none of our patients developed any complications ***:In this trial,we report a reduced pain score at all days of observation in the intervention *** of the tonsillar fossa is a safe,cost-effective,and less technically demanding technique that could be employed to reduce postoperative *** studies with randomization,blinding and a larger sample size could further improve on our results.

switched reluctance motors(srMs)are becoming increasingly popular in the automotive sector owing to their robust ***,srMs are preferred particularly for EV applications owing to their fault tolerance,magnet-free structure,and high power/torque *** main concerns of srM compared to other machines include torque ripple and *** primary cause of vibration is the radial force created by the srM.A geometry-based modification of the srM to reduce the radial force without significantly changing the average torque produced is *** primary goal is to design a 4-phase,8/6 srM with a lower radial *** possible geometrical alterations are proposed:one with square windows and the other with circular holes on the rotor *** windows are sized and positioned to avoid flux *** criteria are developed for the optimal window size and *** element analysis(FEA)modelling of the srM is used to validate its *** FEA results are compared with the performance parameters obtained using the analytical *** the multiphysics design tool ANsYs to obtain the natural frequencies and associated deformations through modal *** to the conventional geometry,the radial force is significantly reduced by providing windows.

The hazardous environmental effects of greenhouse gas emissions and climate change demand alternative sources for cementitious materials in the construction *** development of geopolymer structures provides a way of producing 100%cement-free *** this research work,a novel and simple way of deriving nano particles from waste fly ash particles is *** effect of adding the synthesized nano fly ash particles as a filler medium in geopolymer mortars was investigated by considering strength and durability *** optimization was done by using regression analysis on the geopolymer mortar and the impact of adding nano fly ash particles was studied by varying different percentages of addition ranging from 0 to 7.5%by weight of binder *** the results,it was observed that 1%nano fly ash acted not only as a filler but also as nano-sized precursors of the polymerization process,resulting in denser geopolymer *** can explain the extraordinary gain in strength of 72.11 MPa as well as the denser core with negligible level of chloride ion penetration,making the material suitable for the development of structures susceptible to marine environment.

A time-dependent analytical solution is found for the velocity of a plane ionization wave generated under nanosecond laser pulse action on the surface of a flat layer of low-Z porous substance with density less than the critical density of the produced *** corrections for the two-dimensional nature of the problem when a laser beam of finite radius interacts with a flat target,this solution is in quantitative agreement with measurements of ionization wave velocity in various *** solution compared with experimental data covering wide ranges of performance conditions,namely,(3-8)×10^(14)W cm^(−2)for laser pulse intensity,0.3-3 ns for pulse duration,0.35-0.53μm for laser wavelength,100-1000μm for laser beam radius,380-950μm for layer thickness,4.5-12 mg cm^(−3)for average density of porous substance,and 1-25μm for average pore *** parameters of the laser beam that ensure the generation of a plane ionization wave in a layer of subcritical porous matter are determined for the problem statements and are found to meet the requirements of practical applications.

recently,anomaly detection(AD)in streaming data gained significant attention among research communities due to its applicability in finance,business,healthcare,education,*** recent developments of deep learning(DL)models find helpful in the detection and classification of *** article designs an oversampling with an optimal deep learning-based streaming data classification(Os-ODLsDC)*** aim of the OsODLsDC model is to recognize and classify the presence of anomalies in the streaming *** proposed Os-ODLsDC model initially undergoes preprocessing *** streaming data is unbalanced,support vector machine(sVM)-synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique(sVM-sMOTE)is applied for oversampling ***,the Os-ODLsDC model employs bidirectional long short-term memory(Bi LsTM)for AD and ***,the root means square propagation(rMsProp)optimizer is applied for optimal hyperparameter tuning of the Bi LsTM *** ensuring the promising performance of the Os-ODLsDC model,a wide-ranging experimental analysis is performed using three benchmark datasets such as CICIDs 2018,KDD-Cup 1999,and NsL-KDD datasets.

In this work,we investigate a static and spherically symmetric Bardeen-Kiselev black hole(BH)with the cosmological constant,which is a solution of the Einstein-non-linear Maxwell field *** compute the quasinormal frequencies for the Bardeen-Kiselev BH with the cosmological constant due to electromagnetic and gravitational *** varying the BH parameters,we discuss the behavior of both real and imaginary parts of the BH quasinormal frequencies and compare these frequencies with the reissner-Nordström-de sitter BH surrounded by quintessence(rN-dsQ).Interestingly,it is shown that the responses of the Bardeen-Kiselev BH with the cosmological constant and the rN-dsQ under electromagnetic perturbations are different when the charge parameter q,the state parameter w and the normalization factor c are varied;however,for the gravitational perturbations,the responses of the Bardeen-Kiselev BH with the cosmological constant and the rN-dsQ are different only when the charge parameter q is ***,compared with the gravitational perturbations,the electromagnetic perturbations can be used to understand nonlinear and linear electromagnetic fields in curved spacetime *** interesting observation is that,due to the presence of Kiselev quintessence,the electromagnetic perturbations around the Bardeen-Kiselev BH with the cosmological constant damps faster and oscillates slowly;for the gravitational perturbations,the quasinormal mode decays slowly and oscillates *** also study the reflection and transmission coefficients along with the absorption cross section in the Bardeen-Kiselev BH with the cosmological constant;it is shown that the transmission coefficients will increase due to the presence of Kiselev quintessence.
