Finite element analysis has been carried out to understand the effect of various.p.ocessing routes and condition on the microscale deformation behavior of Al–4.5 Cu–2 Mg alloy. The alloy has been developed through four different routes and condition, i.e. conventional gravity casting with and without refiner, rheocasting and sIMA process. The optical microstructures of the alloy have been used to develop representative volume elements（RVEs）. Two different boundary conditions have been employed to simulate the deformation behavior of the alloy under uniaxial loading. Finally, the simulated stress-strain behavior of the alloy is compared with the experimental result. It is found that the microstructural morphology has a significant impact on stress and strain distribution and load carrying capacity. The eutectic phase always carries a higher load than the α（Al） phase. The globular α（Al） grains with thinner and uniformly distributed eutectic network provide a better stress and strain distribution. Owing to this, sIMA processed alloy has better stress and strain distribution than other processes. Finally, the simulated yield strength of the alloy is verified by experiment and they have great agreement.

A controlled transition between two different ion acceleration mechanisms would pave the way to achieving different ion energies and spectral features within the same experimental set up,depending on the region of *** on numerical simulations conducted over a wide range of experimentally achievable parameter space,reported here is a comprehensive investigation of the different facets of ion acceleration by relativistically intense circularly polarized laser pulses interacting with thin near-critical-density plasma *** results show that the plasma thickness,exponential density gradient,and laser frequency chirp can be controlled to switch the interaction from the transparent operating regime to the opaque one,thereby enabling the choice of a Maxwellian-like ion energy distribution with a cutoff energy in the relativistically transparent regime or a quasi-monoenergetic spectrum in the opaque ***,it is established that a multispecies target configuration can be used effectively for optimal generation of quasi-monoenergetic ion bunches of a desired ***,the feasibility is demonstrated for generating monoenergetic proton beams with energy peak atℰ≈20–40 MeV and a narrow energy spread ofΔℰ/ℰ≈18%–28.6%confined within a divergence angle of∼175 mrad at a reasonable laser peak intensity of I0≃5.4×10^(20)W/cm^(2).

Rice(Oryza sativa)plants acquired excess.p.otosynthates in the form of nonstructural carbohydrates(NsCs)in their stems and *** keen interest in rice NsC,the dynamics of NsC accumulation,translocation and re-accumulation have not yet been well ***1 and AG2 QTLs associated with flooding tolerance through catalyzing starch into soluble sugar in germinating *** we conducted three experiments,greenhouse and field to lay the groundwork for large-scale diversity studies on grain NsC and some agronomic traits under direct-seeded rice(DsR)system,using elite lines incorporating AG1,AG2 and AG1-AG2 QTLs into the popular varieties.p.B Rc82 and Ciherang-sub1 along with the donors Kho Hlan On(AG1)and Ma-Zhan Red(AG2).In germinating seedlings,soluble sugars increased,while starch concentration decreased gradually especially in the tolerant checks and AG1-AG2 introgression lines under flooded *** sugar accumulation in stem started to increase from the vegetative stage and peaked at the panicle initiation stage then gradually decreased towards the maturity *** sub1-AG lines had higher sugar and starch concentrations at different growth stages than other genotypes in wet season 2016 and dry season *** survival rate was.p.sitively correlated with the stem NsC at the early vegetative stage(21 days after sowing),and stem NsC was.p.sitively associated with plant height at different growth *** the tested seeding rate,the most suitable seeding rate,4 g/m2 with shallow burial depth(0.5 cm),resulted in better seedling establishment,relatively higher seedling vigor index and higher leaf area index under flooding in DsR *** of AG1-AG2 QTLs had no any negative impact on nonstructural carbohydrate,germination rate,and growth and biomass.p.oduction.

In this.p.per we have investigated the reflection and the transmission of a system of two symmetric circular-arc-shaped thin porous.p.ates submerged in deep water within the context of linear theory. The hypersingular integral equation technique has been used to analyze the problem mathematically. The integral equations are formulated by applying Green＇s integral theorem to the fundamental potential function and the scattered potential function into a suitable fluid region, and then using the boundary condition on the porous.p.ate surface. These are solved approximately using an expansion-cure-collocation method where the behaviour of the potential functions at the tips of the plates have been used. This method ultimately produces a very good numerical approximation for the reflection and the transmission coefficients and hydrodynamic force components. The numerical results are depicted graphically against the wave number for a variety of layouts of the arc. some results are compared with known results for similar configurations of dual rigid plate systems available in the literature with good agreement.

The development of a portable and inexpensive surface plasmon resonance （spR） measurement device with the integrated biosensor for the detection of snake venom protein is.p.esented in this.p.per. For the construction of the sensing element, amine coupling chemistry is used to bio-functionalize silver coated glass slide with antibodies like immunoglobulin （IgG）. The immobilization of the antibody is confirmed by spectroscopic measurements like ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy （UV-Vis） and Fourier-transforms infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）. The device is calibrated with the standard solution of sodium chloride and ethanol before testing venom protein samples. To investigate the bio-molecular interactions, crude venom of Indian cobra （concentration range： 0.1 mg/ml - 1.0mg/ml） in the phosphate buffer solution （pBs） are exposed to the biosensor. The experimentally measured data indicate the shift in the plasmon resonance angle from its initial value （52°） to 54° for 0.1 mg/ml and 60° for 1.0mg/ml protein solution.

submerged arc welding （sAW） is advantageous for joining high thickness materials in large structure due to high material deposition rate. The non-uniform heating and cooling generates the thermal stresses and subsequently the residual stresses and distortion. The longitudinal and transverse residual stresses and angular distortion are generally measured in large panel structure of submerged arc welded fillet joints. Hence, the objective of this.p.esent work is to quantify the amount of residual stress and distortion in and around the weld joint due to positioning of stiffeners tack. The tacking sequence influences the level of residual stress and proper controlling of tacking sequences is required to minimize the stress. In present study, an elasto-plastic material behavior is considered to develop the thermo mechanical model which predicts the residual stress and angular distortion with varying tacking sequences. The simulated result reveals that the tacking sequence heavily influences the residual stress and deformation pattern of the single sided fillet joint. The finite element based numerical model is calibrated by comparing the experimental data from published literature. Henceforth, the angular distortions are measured from an in-house developed experimental set-up. A fair agreement between the predicted and experimental results indicates the robustness of the developed numerical model. However, the most significant conclusion from present study states that tack weld position should be placed opposite to the fillet weld side to minimize the residual stress.
