Celiac disease as potential obstacle to childbearing

AIM: The authors have aimed at confirming or excluding gluten sensitivity in infertile couples. PATIEnTs AnD METHODs: Between 2004 and 2010, at our outpatient clinics of immunology, both partners of 223 couples, who had striven for having a child unsuccessfully, underwent history taking, physical examination, laboratory and immuno-serologic tests including anti-tissue-transglutaminase antibody (antitTG), as well as deep duodenal biopsy in antibody-carrying patients. REsULTs: Antibodies against tissue transglutaminase were positive in 6/223 female patients of whom the diagnosis of celiac disease was histologically confirmed in 3/223 cases (1.34%). Of the male patients 2/223 (0.9%) have proven to be carriers of the antibody;histology was pathognomonic in both of them. Curiously, one of the male patients with celiac disease has been the partner of a woman who also had celiac disease diagnosed by the authors. In the followup period, a female patient and the female member of the couple with celiac disease gave birth to healthy newborns after spontaneous conception, as the result of a strictly kept gluten-free diet, as well as occasional treatments of acetylsalicylate for antiphos-pholipid syndrome or levothyroxine for latent hypothyroidism due to autoimmune thyroiditis. COnCLUsIOn: The results underline that it is worth performing a screening for celiac disease in both partners of couples assessed due to the lack of success in having a child, as infertility can be ceased by an appropriate diet.

The aim of this work is to analyze the particle characteristics, such as shape, roundness and size, of starches extracted from Florencia and waxy maize hybrids. The micromeritics and structural properties of the samples were examined. The evaluation of flow properties, densification and compression behaviour of the powders was carried out. Physical parameters and swelling characteristics of tablets containing Florencia and waxy maize starch were also studied. starch samples were compared with respect to their applicability as excipients in tablet formulation. The samples exhibited identical structure and similar particle characteristics. Maize starch extracted from the Florencia dent hybrid showed better flowability and compressibility in tableting experiments, which resulted in better mechanical tablet properties. With regard to utilization as a disintegrant, Florencia starch indicated rapid and intensive swelling and proved to act more effectively in the swelling process than waxy maize starch.

The operational properties of various coats are considerably defined by their structure. Theproblem of deposition of metal coats, films and foils with programmed properties has twoaspects: 1) investigation of crystal nucleation and growth mechanism and 2) interconnection ofcoat structure and properties with electrolysis parameters. Electrolytic coats generated from the exoticcrystal shapes with growth defects are most interesting now. Copper coats were deposited fromsulphate electrolytes. Crystal investigations were carried out by transmission or scanning electronmicroscopy.

Introducing lean management enterprises can improve significantly the efficiency of logistics and supply chain management and their *** study discusses,using the results of a survey,the experiences and lessons learned from the implementation of lean management at nAGéV RáCs *** the beginning(March 2016)lean improvement assessment was performed,then lean development program was planned which effect was measured later(October 2016).Fifteen areas of the lean progression were quantified and analyzed during the time period identifying new aims and suggestions for the future.
