Assessment of serum Magnesium Level in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Diabetic Foot Ulcers (Grade I and II) at Nawabshah, Pakistan

Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder increasing morbidity and mortality worldwide, which needs exact identification and proper management. Aim of this study was to analyze the serum Mg (magnesium) level in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with grade I & II diabetic foot ulcers. This descriptive cross sectional study was conducted at Medicine Department, PMCH Nawabshah from June 2015 to December 2016. A total of 110 Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with foot ulcer patients, 51 with grade I and 59 with grade II out of total were included by purposive sampling. After consultation, subjects were categorized as gender, age, Type 2 DM and foot ulcer duration, foot ulcer grading and grouping for analyses. Wagner’s classification of diabetic foot ulcers used to analyze the data and blood samples were collected for research purpose in fasting state for serum Magnesium level analyses. Out of 110, 67 (65.5%) males and 43 (34.5%) females were reported with Type 2 diabetic patients. Hypomagnesaemia was reported in 59% patients out of total, 24 found with grade I and 38 found with grade II from the studied subjects. P value ≤0.000 was in the studied population in relation to hypomagnesaemia. In conclusion, Hypomagnesaemia is common in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients with grade I & II foot ulcers. As the duration of Diabetes along with duration of diabetic foot ulcer in Grade I and II increases, the level of serum magnesium decreases. As the duration of Diabetes Mellitus increases, the severity of complications might also increase.

Introduction: In haemodialysis patients, the risk of acquiring blood-borne viral infections is an important cause of the dialysis’s process. Indeed, viral infections are quite common in chronic haemodialysis patients including those due to viral hepatitis B and HIV. Objective: Determine the prevalence of HIV infection and hepatitis B infection among chronic hemodialysis patients of Togo. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in chronic hemodialysis patients of Togo from January 1st to December 31st, 2016. sociodemographic and clinical data were collected. Antigen HBs was screened by a rapid immunochromatographic test (sD BIOLINE? HBsAg), and HIV antibodies were detected using a combination of 2 rapid diagnostic test, sD BIOLINE? HIV-1/2 (first step) and TRIDOT test (second step). Results: During the study period, 95 subjects were included. Patient’s age was ranking from 13 to 80 years with a mean of 46.6 years. The sex-ratio (M/F) was 1.8 and a duration average of dialysis was 51.7 months. The aetiologies of the chronic endstage kidney failure were related respectively to a vascular renal disease for 42.1% of the patients, glomerular nephropaty for 34.74%, interstitial nephropaty for 9.47% and hereditary for 3.16%. For 10.53% of the patients, the initial renal disease remained indefinite. Prevalence of antigen HBs and HIV antibodies were respectively 10.5% and 7.4%. The frequency of co-infection HBV and HIV was 1.1%. Conclusion: The rates of HBV infection and HIV infection remain high in chronic hemodialysis in Togo, somewhat which is linked to an endemic aspect of these two viruses in the country. The type of initial renal disease (glomerular) and the vascular way (the central catheters) established the risk factors for the HIV infection while for the infection of HVB no factor was incriminated.

Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),which is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(sARs-CoV-2),has spread around the ***,approaches to distinguish COVID-19 from pneumonia caused by other pathogens have not yet been *** retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 97 children with probable COVID-19.A total of 13(13.4%)patients were confirmed positive for sARs-CoV-2 infection by nucleic acid RT-PCR testing,and 41(42.3%)patients were found to be infected with other ***,no pathogen was detected in 43(44.3%)*** all patients,25(25.8%)had familial cluster exposure history,and 52(53.6%)had one or more coexisting ***(15.5%)patients were admitted or transferred to the *** the 11 confirmed COVID-19 cases,5(45.5%)and 7(63.6%)were positive for IgM and IgG against sARs-CoV-2,*** 22 patients with suspected COVID-19,1(4.5%)was positive for IgG but negative for *** most frequently detected pathogen was Mycoplasma pneumonia(29,29.9%).One patient with confirmed COVID-19 *** results strongly indicated that the detection of asymptomatic COVID-19 or coexisting conditions must be strengthened in pediatric *** cases may be difficult to diagnose as COVID-19 unless etiologic analysis is conducted.A serologic test can be a useful adjunctive diagnostic tool in cases where sARs-CoV-2 infection is highly suspected but the nucleic acid test is negative.

Predicting Yield and stability Analysis of Wheat under Different Crop Management systems across Agro-Ecosystems in India

The objectives of the study were as follows: 1) to evaluate the GxExM for wheat genotypes;2) to predict yield performance and identify high stable wheat genotypes in different management practices;and 3) to make genotype-specific management and high performing genotype recommendations within and across agro-ecological regions. A diverse set of twenty-one genotypes was evaluated over three years (2012, 2013 and 2014) under two levels of crop management practices (CT and ZT) across three agro-ecological regions (BR, MP and PB) of India in replicated trials. Data were analyzed with sAsGxE and RGxE programs using sAs and R programming languages, respectively. Across and within a location(s), the pattern of GxExM and GxMxY interactions (respectively) among univariate and multivariate stability statistics, grouping of genotypes in divisive clusters and estimates (with a prediction interval) of genotype varied in management practice CT and ZT. Across locations, the genotypes “Munal” and “HD-2967” were the best performers and high stable in CT and ZT, respectively. Genotypes “HD-2824” and “DPW-621-50”, and “Munal” may serve as diverse parents for developing high quality, climate smart, locally adapted genotypes for BR in CT and ZT, respectively. Genotypes “HD-2932”, “BAZ” and “JW-3288”, and “GW-322” and “HD-2967” are suitable for developing locally adapted stress tolerant genotypes for MP in management practices CT and ZT, respectively. Relatively small GxM and GxExM interactions in PB preclude in making definitive conclusions.

Based on vibration analysis, single-layered graphene sheet （sLGs） with multiple attached nanoparticles is developed as nanoscale mass sensor in thermal environments. Graphene sensors are assumed to be in simplysupported configuration. Based on the nonlocal plate the- ory which incorporates size effects into the classical theory, closed-form expressions lot the frequencies and relative fre- quency shills of sLGs-based mass sensor are derived using the Galerkin method. The suggested model is justified by a good agreement between the results given by the present model and available data in literature. The effects of tem- perature difference, nonlocal parameter, the location of the nanoparticle and the number of nanoparticles on the relative frequency shift of the mass sensor are also elucidated. The obtained results show that the sensitivity of the sLGs- based mass sensor increases with increasing temperature difference.

In this paper the effects of temperature on the radial breathing modes （RBMs） and radial wave propaga- tion in multiwall carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs） are inves- tigated using a continuum model of multiple elastic isotropic shells. The van der Waals forces between tubes are simulated as a nonlinear function of interlayer spacing of MWCNTs. The governing equations are solved using a finite element method. A wide range of innermost radius-to-thickness ratio of MWCNTs is considered to enhance the investigation. The presented solution is verified by comparing the results with those reported in the literature. The effects of temperature on the van der Waals interaction coefficient between layers of MWCNTs are examined. It is found that the variation of the van der Waals interaction coefficient at high temperature is sensible. subsequently, variations of RBM frequencies and radial wave propagation in MWCNTs with temperatures up to 1 600 K are illustrated. It is shown that the thick MWC- NTs are more sensible to temperature than the thin ones.

This study deals with the synthesis and characterization of low-silica zeolite X, from calcined Kalabsha kaolin, for adsorption of Zn(Ⅱ) ions from aqueous solution. The synthesis processes is performed under hydrother-mal treatment in alkaline solutions. The obtained zeolite samples are characterized using X-ray diffraction, grain size distribution, surface area, and sEM. The critical molar ratios of both siO2/Al2O3 and K2O/Na2O are about 2.9 and 0.16, respectively. Those ratios are needed to give individual low silica zeolite X in a minimum reaction time. The adsorption capacity of the synthesized products is determined by adsorption of Zn(Ⅱ) ions from solution. The results suggest that the zeolite obtained could be converted to a beneficial product, which will be used in future as an ion exchanger in removing heavy metals from wastewaters.

The thermoelastic interaction for the three-phase-lag （TPL） heat equation in an isotropic infinite elastic body with a spherical cavity is studied by two-temperature generalized thermoelasticity theory （2TT）. The heat conduction equation in the theory of TPL is a hyperbolic partial differential equation with a fourth-order derivative with respect to time. The medium is assumed to be initially quiescent. By the Laplace trans- formation, the fundamental equations are expressed in the form of a vector-matrix differ- ential equation, which is solved by a state-space approach. The general solution obtained is applied to a specific problem, when the boundary of the cavity is subjected to the ther- mal loading （the thermal shock and the ramp-type heating） and the mechanical loading. The inversion of the Laplace transform is carried out by the Fourier series expansion tech- niques. The numerical values of the physical quantity are computed for the copper like ma- terial. significant dissimilarities between two models （the two-temperature Green-Naghdi theory with energy dissipation （2TGN-III） and two-temperature TPL model （2T3phase）） are shown graphically. The effects of two-temperature and ramping parameters are also studied.
