This paper discusses the effect of thermophoretic particle deposition on the transient natural convection laminar flow along a vertical fiat surface, which is immersed in an optically dense gray fluid in the presence of thermal radiation. In the analysis, the radiative heat flux term is expressed by adopting the Rosseland diffusion approximation. The governing equations are reduced to a set of parabolic partial differential equations. Then, these equations are solved numerically with a finite-difference scheme in the entire time regime. The asymptotic solutions are also obtained for sufficiently small and large time. The obtained asymptotic solutions are then compared with the numerical solutions, and they are found in excellent agreement. moreover, the effects of different physical pa- rameters, i.e., the thermal radiation parameter, the surface temperature parameter, and the thermophoretic parameter, on the transient surface shear stress, the rate of surface heat transfer, and the rate of species concentration, as well as the transient velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles are shown graphically for a fluid (i.e., air) with the Prandtl number of 0.7 at 20℃ and 1.013 × 10^5 Pa.

We theoretically study the structural, elastic and optical properties of Er Pd Bi together with its anisotropic behaviors using density functional theory. It is observed that Er Pd Bi satisfies the Born stability criteria nicely and possesses high quality of machinability. The anisotropic behavior of Er Pd Bi is reported with the help of theoretical anisotropy indices incorporating 3 D graphical presentation, which suggests that Er Pd Bi is highly anisotropic in nature. It is noticed that the minimum thermal conductivity is very low for Er Pd Bi compared to the several species. This low value of minimum thermal conductivity introduces the potentiality of Er Pd Bi in high-temperature applications such as thermal barrier *** addition, deep optical insights of Er Pd Bi reveal that our material can be used in different optoelectronic and electronic device applications ranging from organic light-emitting diodes, solar panel efficiency, waveguides etc. to integration of integrated circuits. Pre-sowing treatments are expected to increase seed *** evaluates response to pre-sowing treatments and the growth performance of two native and rare tree species,Garuga pinnata *** Vitex glabrata *** hard seed coats were treated by rubbing with sand paper,nail clipping,and immersion in water and acid(H_2sO_4).Results indicate that *** showed a 90% germination rate and 30% germination energy when seed coats were nicked with a nail *** with sand paper was the best pre-sowing treatment for ***,resulting a 80% germination rate and 30% germination *** and *** seedlings from seeds soaked 24h in water resulted in maximum heights and collar *** were significantly higher(at p〈0.05) than those of other *** results indicate that scarification or nicking of seeds may have some negative impacts on seedling ***,it is difficult to recommend a pre-sowing treatment of seeds for achieving both maximum germination and good early seedling growth.

This work investigates the interactions among solitons and their consequences in the production of rogue waves in an unmagnetized plasmas composing non-relativistic as well as relativistic degenerate electrons and positrons, and inertial non-relativistic helium ions. The extended Poincare′–Lighthill–Kuo(PLK) method is employed to derive the two-sided Korteweg–de Vries(KdV) equations with their corresponding phase shifts. The nonlinear schrodinger equation(NLsE) is obtained from the modified Kd V(mKdV) equation, which allows one to study the properties of the rogue waves. It is found that the Fermi temperature and quantum mechanical effects become pronounced due to the quantum diffraction of electrons and positrons in the plasmas. The densities and temperatures of the helium ions, degenerate electrons and positrons, and quantum parameters strongly modify the electrostatic ion acoustic resonances and their corresponding phase shifts due to the interactions among solitons and produce rogue waves in the plasma.

The computational study of the combined effects of radiation and hydro- magnetics on the natural convection flow of a viscous, incompressible, and electrically conducting fluid past a magnetized permeable vertical plate is presented. The governing non-similar equations are numerically solved by using a finite difference method for all values of the suction parameter and the asymptotic solution for small and large values of ~. The effects of varying the Prandtl number Pr, the magnetic Prandtl number Prm, the magnetic force parameter s, the radiation parameter Rd, and the surface temperature Ow on the coefficients of the skin friction, the rate of heat transfer, and the current density are shown graphically and in tables. An attempt is made to examine the effects of the above mentioned physical parameters on the velocity profile, the temperature distribution, and the transverse component of the magnetic field.

The double diffusion effect on the mixed convection flow over a horizontal porous sensor surface placed inside a horizontal channel is analyzed. With the appropriate transformations, the unsteady equations governing the flow are reduced to non-similar boundary layer equations which are solved numerically for the time-dependent mixed convection parameter. The asymptotic solutions are obtained for small and large values of the time-dependent mixed convection parameter. The results are discussed in terms of the skin friction, the heat transfer coefficient, the mass transfer coefficient, and the velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles for different values of the Prandtl number, the schmidt number, the squeezing index, and the mixed convection parameter.

There are several well-established methods for obtaining beach profiles, and more accurate and precise high-tech methods are emerging. Traditional low-cost methods requiring minimal user skill or training are still popular among professionals, scientists, and coastal zone management practitioners. simple methods are being developed with a primary focus on sand and gravel beaches. This paper describes a simple, low-cost, manual field method for measuring profiles of beaches, which is particularly suitable for muddy shores. The equipment is a type of flexible U-tube manometer that uses liquid columns in vertical tubes to measure differences in elevation; the supporting frame is constructed from wooden poles with base disks, which hold measuring scales and a PVC tube. The structure was trialed on a mudflat characterized by a 20~0-cm-thick surface layer of silt and clay, located at the Kutubdia Island, Bangladesh. The study results are discussed with notes on the method's applicability, advantages and limitations, and several optional modifications for different scenarios for routine profiling of muddy shores. The equipment can be used by one person or two people, and the accuracy of the method is comparable to those in other methods. The equipment can also be used on sandy or gravel beaches.
