Aim:Brain abscess still poses a public health challenge in spite of the advent of modern neurosurgical techniques and ***,we present our surgical experiences and ultimate outcome in the management of brain ***:Totally,162 patients with proved brain abscess who underwent surgical treatment were included in this *** prospectively recorded data of surgical management of brain abscess and the ultimate outcome(by Glasgow outcome scale)were studied ***:Total number of cases was 162,of which 113 were acute pyogenic abscess while 49 were chronic *** the chronic abscess,29 were chronic pyogenic abscess,14 were tubercular,3 aspergillus,and 3 abscesses were in malignant brain *** acute cases,common clinical features were headache,fever,vomiting,focal deficit and *** chronic abscesses,common clinical features were mild to moderate headache and progressive focal ***-three(45.06%)patients had adjacent localized sinus,middle ear or cranial *** common predisposing factors included postneurosurgery,postpenetrating injury to brain,chronic suppurative otitis media,and congenital heart disease,infective endocarditis,sinusitis and sub optimum *** lobe involved in 30.2%cases,temporal lobe is next to *** time burr hole aspiration in 111(68.5%)cases,two or more times burr hole aspiration were done in 34(21%)*** culture was negative in 129(79.62%)*** number of death was 22(13.58%)*** resolution of abscess with complete recovery of preoperative neuro-deficit was seen in 80.86%cases and recovery with major neuro-deficit was observed in 5.55%*** is a significant association between Glasgow coma scale(GCs)on admission and mortality in brain ***:In most of the cases,pus culture did not yield growth of any causative *** was not directly related to surgical intervention,but GCs on admission has a significant

In this research,we focus on the free-surface deformation of a one-dimensional elastic semiconductor medium as a function of magnetic field and moisture *** problem aims to analyze the interconnection between plasma and moisture diffusivity processes,as well as thermo-elastic *** study examines the photothermoelasticity transport process while considering the impact of moisture *** employing Laplace’s transformation technique,we derive the governing equations of the photo-thermo-elastic *** equations include the equations for carrier density,elastic waves,moisture transport,heat conduction,and constitutive *** stresses,thermal conditions,and plasma boundary conditions are used to calculate the fundamental physical parameters in the Laplace *** employing numerical techniques,the Laplace transform is inverted to get complete time-domain solutions for the primary physical domains under ***,thermoelastic,and thermoelectric characteristics are employed in conjunction with a graphical analysis that takes into consideration the effects of applied forces on displacement,moisture concentration,carrier density,stress due to forces,and temperature distribution.

Robust malicious Executable Detection Using Host-Based machine Learning Classifier

The continuous development of cyberattacks is threatening digital transformation endeavors worldwide and leadsto wide losses for various organizations. These dangers have proven that signature-based approaches are insufficientto prevent emerging and polymorphic attacks. Therefore, this paper is proposing a Robust malicious ExecutableDetection (RmED) using Host-based machine Learning Classifier to discover malicious Portable Executable (PE)files in hosts using Windows operating systems through collecting PE headers and applying machine learningmechanisms to detect unknown infected files. The authors have collected a novel reliable dataset containing 116,031benign files and 179,071 malware samples from diverse sources to ensure the efficiency of RmED *** most effective PE headers that can highly differentiate between benign and malware files were selected totrain the model on 15 PE features to speed up the classification process and achieve real-time detection formalicious executables. The evaluation results showed that RmED succeeded in shrinking the classification timeto 91 milliseconds for each file while reaching an accuracy of 98.42% with a false positive rate equal to 1.58. Inconclusion, this paper contributes to the field of cybersecurity by presenting a comprehensive framework thatleverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to proactively detect and prevent cyber-attacks.

Comparative analysis on the performance of different types of input-and command-shaping controllers in minimizing payload residual vibration of an overhead crane with an inclined supporting track

Reducing the effects of external disturbance on overhead crane systems is crucial,as they can impair the controller performance and cause excessive vibrations or oscillations of the *** such external disturbance is the inclination of the supporting track of the crane trolley,which causes the system dynamics model to *** open-loop control strategy is widely utilized to control the payload sway motion and generally does not require any alterations in the physical structure of a system or the installation of sensors and/or *** and command shaping are two common open-loop control techniques applied to control overhead *** this paper,the effect of moving an overhead crane system along an inclined supporting track is *** addition,the ability of different types of input-and command-shaping control schemes to suppress the residual vibrations due to trolley track inclination is *** types of input-shaping controllers,which are double-step,zero vibration,and one command waveform(WF)shaper based on a trigonometric function,are used and tested.A linear equation of motion of the overhead crane resting on an inclined surface is developed to simulate the overhead crane and payload *** effectiveness of the different types of open-loop controllers to suppress residual vibrations is verified by both simulation and experimental *** addition,a new WF command shaper is proposed and designed to overcome track inclination while eliminating payload residual vibration.A comprehensive comparative analysis,both numerically and experimentally,is performed on the new proposed shaper to measure its effectiveness in handling inclination when compared to other types of open-loop *** new shaper outperforms other controllers in eliminating payload residual vibration for a wider range of inclination angles.

OsATL32 ubiquitinates the reactive oxygen species-producing OsRac5-OsRbohB module to suppress rice immunity

Ubiquitination-mediated protein degradation is integral to plant immunity,with E3 ubiquitin ligases acting as key factors in this ***,we report the functions of OsATL32,a plasma membrane-localized Arabidopsis Tóxicos En Levadura(ATL)-type E3 ubiquitin ligase,in rice(Oryza sativa)immunity and its associated regulatory *** found that the expression of OsATL32 is downregulated in both compatible and incompatible interactions between rice and the rice blast fungus magnaporthe *** OsATL32 protein level declines in response to infection by a compatible *** strain or to chitin ***32 negatively regulates rice resistance to blast and bacterial leaf blight diseases,as well as chitin-triggered *** and genetic studies revealed that OsATL32 suppresses pathogen-induced reactive oxygen species(ROs)accumulation by mediating ubiquitination and degradation of the ROs-producing OsRac5–OsRbohB module,which enhances rice immunity against *** protein phosphatase PHOsPHATAsE AND TENsIN HOmOLOG enhances rice blast resistance by dephosphorylating OsATL32 and promoting its degradation,preventing its negative effect on rice *** study provides insights into the molecular mechanism by which the E3 ligase OsATL32 targets a ROs-producing module to undermine rice immunity.

magnetorheological elastomers(mREs)hold significant promise in various fields such as automotive engineering,and civil engineering,where they serve as intelligent *** on the application of an external magnetic field,these materials exhibit varying magnetorheological and viscoelastic properties,including shear stress,yield stress,dynamic moduli,and *** this work,a new type of mRE,termed self-healing mREs(sH-mREs),has been developed by adding a novel self-healing agent into existing *** dynamic modulus and loss factor of sH-mREs with different compositions have been characterized under various conditions of frequency,temperature,and *** results show that as the strain value increases,the loss factor also ***,the loss factor initially increases and then decreases with increasing magnetic field *** higher concentrations of ferromagnetic particles increase the loss factor,they enhance the operational range due to their better responsiveness to magnetic ***-mREs demonstrate improved damping capabilities,attributed to the formation of coordination bonds between ferromagnetic particles and the self-healing *** stable structure increases the viscosity of *** results of the regression model suggest a direct proportionality between sensitivity to the magnetic field and the ferromagnetic particle concentration.
