The shallow marine carbonates of the upper Oligocene Qom Formation yielded several occurrences of the foraminiferan genus Neoplanorbulinella matsumaru. Neoplanorbulinella saipanensis matsumaru has so far been recorded from the late Eocene-early miocene of Japan and late Oligocene of NE Italy whereas N. malatyaensis Gedik is only reported from the Oligocene from its type locality in the malatya Basin, eastern Turkey. The new records reported here from the Qom Formation indicate that both species occur in the Dobaradar section, ca. 10 km south of the city of Qom in North-Central Iran. The palaeogeographic distribution of these two species therefore has to be extended as far as the palaeolongitude of current Central *** accompanying larger benthic foraminifers, including miogypsinoides complanatus(schlumberger),m. formosensis Yabe and Hanzawa, spiroclypeus margaritatus(schlumberger), Operculina complanata(Defrance), and Risananeiza pustulosa Boukhary et al., indicate the upper Chattian sBZ 23 Zone. The coexistence of the N. saipanensis and N. malatyaensis points to suitable palaeobiogeographic conditions of Central Iran to host Western and Eastern Tethyan taxa.

Effect of solidification cooling rate on microstructure and tribology characteristics of Zn-4si alloy

The main objective of this work was to modify the microstructure and enhance the tribological properties of a new Zn-4si al-loy through a high solidification cooling rate(sCR).According to the results,by increasing the sCR from 2.0 to 59.5℃/s the average size of primary si particles and that of the grains reduced from 76.1 and 3780μm to less than about 14.6 and 460μm,***-ing the sCR also enhanced the microstructural homogeneity,decreased the porosity content(by 50%),and increased the matrix hardness(by 36%).These microstructural changes enhanced the tribological *** instance,under the applied pressure of 0.5 mPa,an in-crease in the sCR from 2.0 to 59.5℃/s decreased the wear rate and the average friction coefficient of the alloy by 57%and 23%,*** wear mechanism was also changed from the severe delamination,adhesion,and abrasion in the slowly-cooled alloy to the mild tribolayer delamination/abrasion in the high-cooling-rate-solidified sample.

Purpose:Despite advances in modern medicine,traumatic brain injuries(TBIs)are still a major medical *** diagnosis of TBI is crucial for clinical decision-making and *** study aims to compare the predictive value of Helsinki,Rotterdam,and stockholm CT scores in predicting the 6-month outcomes in blunt TBI ***:This cohort study was conducted on blunt TBI patients of 15 years or *** of them were admitted to the surgical emergency department of shahid Beheshti Hospital in Kashan,Iran from 2020 to 2021 and had abnormal trauma-related findings on brain CT *** patients’demographic data such as age,gender,history of comorbid conditions,mechanism of trauma,Glasgow coma scale,CT images,length of hospital stay,and surgical procedures were *** Helsinki,Rotterdam,and stockholm CT scores were simultaneously determined according to the existing *** included patients'6-month outcome was determined using the Glasgow outcome scale extended.m Data were analyzed by sPss software version ***,specificity,negative/positive predictive value and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve were calculated for each *** Kappa agreement coefficient and Kuder Richardson-20 were used to compare the scoring ***:Altogether 171 TBI patients met the inclusion and exclusion criteria,with the mean age of(44.9±20.2)*** patients were male(80.7%),had traffic related injuries(83.1%)and mild TBIs(64.3%).Patients with lower Glasgow coma scale had higher Helsinki,Rotterdam,and stockholm CT scores and lower Glasgow outcome scale extended *** all the scoring systems,the Helsinki and stockholm scores showed the highest agreement in predicting patients’outcomes(kappa=0.657,pm scoring system had the highest sensitivity(90.1%)in predicting death of TBI patients,whereas the Helsinki scoring system had the highest sensitivity(89.8%)in predicting the 6-month outcome in TBI

In thermofluid systems,the lid-driven square chamber plays an imperative role in analyzing thermodynamics’first and second laws in limited volume cases executed by sheer effects with a prominent role in many industrial applications including electronic cooling,heat exchangers,microfluidic components,solar collectors,and renewable ***,nanofluids as working fluids have demonstrated potential for heat transfer enhancement systems,however there are some concerns about irreversibility problems in the *** to this problem and in line with the applications of partial slip on fluid flow modification and irreversibilities,the present study considers laminar mixed convection and entropy generation analysis of aluminum oxide nanofluid inside a lid-driven wavy cavity having an internal conductive solid body in the presence of a partial slip on the upper surface,which to the best of our knowledge,has not been investigated so *** fundamental equations of the current work with the appropriate boundary conditions are first made dimensionless and then solved numerically using the Galerkin weighted residual *** main parameters of the flow and heat transfer,entropy generation,and Bejan number are presented and explained in *** outcomes indicate that the partial slip is more effective when friction irreversibilities govern the *** the presence of slip condition,the flow circulation changes the trend in the middle of the cavity around the solid block leading to a decrease in the isentropic lines at the dense sections with almost 30%less than the case of no-slip *** is concluded that partial slip shows different trends on the local Nusselt number interface along the wavy wall improving the average Nusselt number where high friction irreversibilities dominate.

Objective: The use of traditional medicine and complementary alternative medicine(Tm/CAm) derived from herbal remedies or natural supplements is increasing worldwide, but there are limited data on the use of Tm/CAm during pregnancy. Iran has various ethnic populations, and the usage of Tm/CAm by the different ethnic groups has not been researched. The aim of this study is to understand the use of Tm/CAm modalities in pregnant women of different ethnic groups in southern ***: This study was conducted in primary health care centers in Khuzestan Province, Iran, from may to August, 2016. A semi-structured valid questionnaire was used to gather information in pregnant women(n = 170).Results: About 46.5% of women in this study used Tm/CAm during previous pregnancies. The majority(67%) of study participants were Arab. The Arab population showed increased use of Tm/CAm during pregnancy(P = 0.014). Women with complications in former pregnancies had significantly higher incidence rate of Tm/CAm use(65.8%) compared to the other group(39.6%)(P = 0.001).Conclusion: Understanding Tm/CAm use and the associated factors in different ethnic groups of pregnant women will benefit the evaluation of the proper health policies and mother-infant health programs. This study contributes to the growing literature on Tm/CAm, ethnic diversity and pregnant women.

In this study quality changes of rainbow trout fillet wrapped with quince seed mucilage Qsm film incorporated with 0–2%(V/V)thyme or oregano essential oil,as natural preservatives,during storage of 18 d at 4◦C were *** control and wrapped fillet samples were analyzed for texture,lipid oxidation,and color *** 6 d of storage,a significantly increasing trend was observed for lipid oxidation in control *** values(PV)varied for all treatments and remained lower than 8 meq/kg throughout the storage time(18 d).The lowest PV was obtained in fillets wrapped with Qsm film containing 2%oregano essential *** to control samples,fillet samples wrapped with Qsm films presented a significant reduction in pH after 12 d(Pmeters were increased while parameter a*was decreased linearly for all treatments during the storage time.

Potential Evaluation and Basin modeling of the Pabdeh Formation in Zagros Basin: A Case study

Pabdeh Formation is one of the most important source rocks in Zagros basin. In this study, thermal modeling and comparing of hydrocarbon potential evaluation of Pabdeh Formation in mish Anticline and Gachsaran oil field have been investigated. For this reason, Rock-Eval pyrolysis was carried out on 21 cuttings samples collected from 2 boreholes (Well No. 55 and 83) of Gachsaran oil field and outcrop of mish anticline. Accordingly, the Kerogen types of Pabdeh Formation in Gachsaran oil field are II, but in mish anticline are type II and III. The amount of inert organic carbon determined for the Pabdeh Formation in mish anticline is about 4.879 wt%, while for Gachsaran oil field, it is estimated at 0.153 (Well. No. 55) and 1.156 (Well. No. 83) wt%. Absorption of hydrocarbon by rock matrix was also determined. The amount of absorption in mish anticline is more than that of Gachsaran oil field. This is mostly due to the presence of argillaceous matrix in this area, but the clays have not been successful in absorbing organic matter;this is due to the result obtained from small amount of organic matter in the basin. The Rock-Eval data revealed that the sedimentary paleo-environment strongly affected the source potential of this formation as it changed from the continental and Deltaic in the mish anticline to deeper marine in Gachsaran oil field. In addition, curves of Burial history were drawn for Gachsaran well No. 55, in order to assess the thermal maturity of the Pabdeh formation. The results of the methods indicated that Pabdeh formation in Gachsaran oil field had a good to very good hydrocarbon potential and had entered to oil window.

Bioinks are formulations of biomaterials and living cells, sometimes with growth factors or other biomolecules, while extrusion bioprinting is an emerging technique to apply or deposit these bioinks or biomaterial solutions to create three-dimensional (3D) constructs with architectures and mechanical/biological properties that mimic those of native human tissue or organs. Printed constructs have found wide applications in tissue engineering for repairing or treating tissue/organ injuries, as well as in vitro tissue modelling for testing or validating newly developed therapeutics and vaccines prior to their use in humans. successful printing of constructs and their subsequent applications rely on the properties of the formulated bioinks, including the rheological, mechanical, and biological properties, as well as the printing process. This article critically reviews the latest developments in bioinks and biomaterial solutions for extrusion bioprinting, focusing on bioink synthesis and characterization, as well as the influence of bioink properties on the printing process. Key issues and challenges are also discussed along with recommendations for future research.
