Gravitational forces are explained as a result of energy exchange between baryonic matter having the property of mass and the Quantum Vacuum. The derivations are starting with a hypothesis that baryonic matter, particles, atoms and molecules exchange energy with the Quantum Vacuum with zero balance. It is assumed that in absence of an external gravitation field the emission pattern is isotropic. There is no recoil force of radiation. The application of an external gravitation field induces an anisotropy which results in a recoil force of radiation. An ellipsoidal radiation pattern is applied. The eccentricity of the ellipsoid is defined using the maximum possible value of any gravitation field estimated to have the value about 5 × 1012 [m/s2]. A formula is derived for calculating the power of the isotropic radiation. It was shown that two masses attract due to the fact that gravitation field lowers the energy density of the Quantum Vacuum. Using the results of measurements of a binary neutron star by Taylor and Hulse (Nobel Prize in Physics 1993) it was shown that possibly gravitational waves carry negative energy.

korean ginseng and mountain ginseng （Panax ginseng CA Meyer） are important traditional herbal plants whose ginsenosides are generally accepted as serving to improve sexual functions, such as penile erection. We investigated the effects of tissue-cultured mountain ginseng extract （TMGE） on male patients with erectile dysfunction （ED）. A double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted with 143 patients experiencing ED. Over the course of 8 weeks, one group took 1 000 mg of TMGE twice a day, and the other group took 1 000 mg of placebo twice a day. The effects of the TMGE and the placebo were analyzed using the korean version of the International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF） questionnaire. A total of 86 patients completed 8 weeks of treatment. The scores on the five domains of the IIEF after medication were significantly higher than the baseline scores in the group treated with TMGE （P 〈 0.05）, whereas no significant improvement was observed in the placebo group （P 〉 0.05）. Erectile function and overall satisfaction scores after medication were significantly higher in the TMGE group than in the placebo group （P 〈 0.05）. Erectile function of patients in the TMGE-treated group significantly improved, suggesting that TMGE could be utilized for improving erectile function in male patients.

Background:Lactated Ringer’s solution is most widely used in children,but little is known about how children scheduled for surgery handle a fluid load as compared to *** study explores whether a more cautious regimen for the administration of lactated Ringer’s is warranted in children awaiting minor surgery as compared to adults. Methods:Plasma dilution(based on hemoglobin),urinary excretion and volume kinetics were used to assess the disposition of an intravenous infusion of 10 mL/kg of lactated Ringer’s solution over 20 min in 14 pediatric patients(4 years of age,average body weight 15 kg) and in 14 adult patients scheduled for similar minor pelvic *** were performed after premedication but before anesthesia was induced. Results:Plasma dilution was less pronounced in the pediatric patients(Pso had excreted more of the infused fluid within 90 min than the adults(43%versus 18%,Psma clearance was 4 times higher(Ps 7 times higher(Pshorter period of preoperative fasting(6 versus 10 hours) and/or by physiological differences attributable to age. Conclusion:The plasma and renal clearances of lactated Ringer’s solution were higher in children with a body weight of about 15 kg as compared to ***,children in this age group may receive at least the same amounts of fluid per kilo body weight during preparation for surgery than the amounts recommended for adults.

AIM: To investigate the prognostic significance of s100A4 expression in colorectal cancer and its correlation with expression of E-cadherin and p53. METHODs: A cohort of archival formalin-fixed paraff inembedded specimens was selected from 127 patients with colorectal cancer who underwent surgical resection between April 2000 and March 2004 at the Department of surgery, korea University Guro Hospital. The expression of protein s100A4 was evaluated according to the proportion of positively stained cancer cells. In each case, three core biopsies with a diameter of 2 mm were punched out and positioned in a recipient paraff in array block. Four-μm sections of these tissue array blocks were used for immunohistochemical analysis of protein s100A4, E-cadherin, and p53. Clinicopathological data were based on the original histopathologic reports and clinical records of patients. REsULTs: In normal colorectal mucosa, protein s100A4 immunoreactivity was clearly absent in both cytoplasm and nucleus. However, positive immunoreactivity of protein s100A4 was detected in 45 (35.4%) of the tumor cases. There was no significant association between positive immunoreactivity of protein s100A4 and clinicopathological parameters such as tumor differentiation or TNM stage, and also no correlation between the reactivity and E-cadherin or p53 expression. However, positive immunoreactivity of protein s100A4 was found to be associated with tumor recurrence (P = 0.004), and was also associated with significantly worse overall survival in the kaplan-Meyer survival analysis (P = 0.044). After adjustment for tumor differentiation, tumor depth and nodal status, however, it failed to achieve statistical significance (P = 0.067). CONCLUsION: The expression of protein s100A4 is associated with tumor recurrence and poor overall survival in patients with colorectal cancer.

Background Although smoking is classified as a risk factor for severe COVID-19 outcomes,there is a scarcity of studies on prevalence of smoking during the COVID-19 ***,this study aims to analyze the trends of prevalence of smoking in adolescents over the COVID-19 pandemic *** The present study used data from middle to high school adolescents between 2005 and 2021 who participated in the korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based survey(kYRBs).We evaluated the smoking prevalence(ever or daily)by year groups and estimated the slope in smoking prevalence before and during the *** A total of 1,137,823 adolescents participated in the study[mean age,15.04 years[95%confidence interval(CI)15.03-15.06];and male,52.4%(95%CI 51.7-53.1)].The prevalence of ever smokers was 27.7%(95%CI 27.3-28.1)between 2005 and 2008 but decreased to 9.8%(95%CI 9.3-10.3)in 2021.A consistent trend was found in daily smokers,as the estimates decreased from 5.4%(95%CI 5.2-5.6)between 2005 and 2008 to 2.3%(95%CI 2.1-2.5)in ***,the downward slope in the overall prevalence of ever smokers and daily smokers became less pronounced in the COVID-19 pandemic period than in the pre-pandemic *** the subgroup with substance use,the decreasing slope in daily smokers was significantly more pronounced during the pandemic than during the pre-pandemic *** The proportion of ever smokers and daily smokers showed a less pronounced decreasing trend during the *** findings of our study provide an overall understanding of the pandemic's impact on smoking prevalence in adolescents.

AIM: To assess the extent and reasons of non- compliance in surveillance for patients undergoing polypectomy of large (≥ 1 cm) colorectal adenomas. METHODs: Between 1995 and 2002, colorectal adenomas ≥ 1 cm were diagnosed in 210 patients and subsequently documented at the Erlangen Registry of Colorectal Polyps. One hundred and fi fty-eight patients (75.2%) could be contacted by telephone and agreed to be interviewed. Additionally, records were obtained from the treating physicians. REsULTs: Fifty-four out of 158 patients (34.2%) neglected any surveillance. Reasons for non-compliance included lack of knowledge concerning surveillance intervals (45.8%), no symptoms (29.2%), fear of examination (18.8%) or old age/severe illness (6.3%). In a multivariate analysis, the factors including female gender (P = 0.036) and age > 62 years (P = 0.016) proved to be signif icantly associated with non-compliance in surveillance. CONCLUsION: Efforts to increase compliance in surveillance are of utmost importance. This applies particularly to women’s compliance. Effective strategies for avoiding metachronous colorectal adenoma and cancer should focus on both the improvement in awareness and knowledge of patients and information about physicians for surveillance.

本文采用Williams特征展开方法结合Lee伪应力函数方法得到了平面应变状态下不可压缩幂硬化蠕变材料中刚性片状夹杂物的奇异场和局部解.研究发现,夹杂物尖端的应力奇性为r^(-m/2),与幂硬化指数m有关;而应变奇性为r^(-1/2),与幂硬化指数无关.本文通过选择积分路径给出了近尖的局部解,并用显函数的形式给出了近尖应力和位移的角变化.
