Purpose It is well recognised that injury prevention training can reduce injury incidence,however current coach education pathways do not provide grass-root coaches with the knowledge and confidence to deliver such training to youth *** aim of this study was to explore differences in knowledge,understanding,attitude and confidence to deliver such injury prevention training in three European *** A total of 269 grass-root soccer coaches from 3 European countries(Czech Republic,UK,spain)were recruited for this study.A validated questionnaire exploring knowledge,understanding,attitude towards and confidence to deliver youth injury prevention training was completed prior to a 2 h workshop on injury prevention *** between countries was examined using Bayesian factors to quantify the evidence for and against the hypothesis of independence(H0)by assuming a Poisson sampling scheme(as there was no a priori restriction on any cell count,nor on the grand total)(BF10 Poisson).Results Current knowledge,attitude and confidence to deliver injury prevention training to youth players was poor across all three European *** few coaches were currently using injury prevention training in their coaching sessions(23%).There were some country specific differences for attitude towards injury prevention training and confidence to deliver injury training,with spanish coaches reporting a more positive attitude and confidence to deliver such *** fewer coaches in the UK were using injury prevention training compared to coaches in spain and the Czech *** As coaches identified a need for coach education and few were delivering injury prevention training,there is a clear need to embed and implement this programme into the grassroots coaching framework of sports governing bodies to improve adoption,implementation and maintenance.

Taxonomy-based differences in feeding guilds of fish

It has been taken for granted that feeding guilds and behavior in animals are linked to the taxonomic relatedness of species,but empirical evidence supporting such relationship is virtually *** examine the importance of taxonomy on trophic ecology,I here present the first well-resolved dietary taxonomy analysis based on feeding guilds(predation,herbivory,and filtering)among families and genera within the fish order *** relatedness in feeding did not vary with ecosystem dimension(marine ***).Although predation dominates among Perciformes fishes,this study shows that in most cases taxonomic units(family or genus)are composed by species with several feeding *** species are more similar in feeding compared with species that are taxonomically more distant demonstrating that there is a greater variation of feeding guilds within families than ***,there is no consistency in feeding guilds between family-and genus-level *** study provides empirical support for the notion that genera are more informative than families,underlining that family-level taxonomy should be avoided to infer feeding habits of fish species at finer taxonomic ***,the choice of taxonomic resolution(family or genus level)in ecological studies is key to avoid information loss and misleading results.I conclude that high-rank taxonomic units(i.e.,above the generic level)are not appropriate to test research hypotheses about the feeding of fish.

Potential games are noncooperative games for which there exist auxiliary functions, called potentials,such that the maximizers of the potential are also Nash equilibria of the corresponding game. some properties of Nash equilibria, such as existence or stability, can be derived from the potential, whenever it exists. We survey different classes of potential games in the static and dynamic cases, with a finite number of players, as well as in population games where a continuum of players is allowed. Likewise, theoretical concepts and applications are discussed by means of illustrative examples.

Characterization of the negative carbon isotope shift in segment C2,its global implications as a harbinger of OAEla

Lower Cretaceous C-isotope records show intermittent negative/positive spikes, and consistent patterns of coevalchemostratigraphic curves thus document shifts that signal simultaneous responses of temporal changes in the global carbon reservoir. The standard pattern registered by the δ13Corg and δ13Ccarb in Lower Aptian sediments includes distinct isotope segments C1 to C8 （Menegatti et al., 1998）. In the E1 Pui section, Organy Basin, spain, C-isotope segment C2 is the longest interval preceding segments C3-C6 associated with oceanic anoxic event la （OAE la）, and reveals a distinct negative shift of-1.8‰ to -2.23‰ defining the C-isotope pattern within that interval. Total inorganic carbon （TIC）, total organic carbon （TOC）, δ13Corg, microfacies, n-alkanes show no difference before, during, or after the negative inflection. The biomarkers indicate that organic matter （OM） mainly originates from algal/microbial sources because short-chain length homologues （〈 nCtg） dominate, nC2o through nC25 indicate some contribution from aquatic vegetation, but little from higher plants （〉nC20, as also suggested by the terrestrial/aquatic ratio ofn-alkanes or （TAR） = [（nf27＋nf29＋nC31）/（nC15＋nCt7＋rlCt9）] （averages 0.085）. We suggest that conjoint pulses of contemporaneous LIPs （Ontong Java） and massive explosive volcanism in northeast Asia, the songliao Basin （sB-V）, best conform to plausible causes of the negative intra-C2 carbon isotopic excursion （CIE） at that time. Because of its apparent common occurrence the intra-C2 inflection could be a useful marker harbinger to the more pronounced CIE C3, the hallmark of OAE 1 a.

A Nb-Cr-V-W-Ta high entropy alloy has been subjected to annealing treatment at 600,700 and 800℃in air for 6 *** different phases have been identified based on their composition in the as received *** annealing treatment does not alter the phase analysis and compositions except for the W-rich phase where minor changes in the composition have been *** is considered as an experimental evidence of sluggish diffusivity associated with *** of phase transformation during the heating and the minimal changes in observed compositions of the phases is an indication of the resistance to diffusion offered by the elements of the high entropy *** electron microscopy(sEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDs)and color X-ray elemental mapping have been used to conduct this research.

Confirmatory factor analysis of VIsA-P scale and measurement invariance across sexes in athletes with patellar tendinopathy

Device performance and light characteristics stability of quantum-dot-based white-light-emitting diodes

Advances in image quality in recent decades have made it necessary to develop new technologies for producing displays to meet remarkably stricter standards. The display market is governed mainly by liquid crystal display and light-emitting diode （LED） technology; however, it suffers from limitations that can be overcome by developing the next generation of electroluminescent displays. The introduction of colloidal quantum dots （QDs） as down-converters has enabled the production of displays with extremely high color purity and gamut. Therefore, colloidal nanocrystals are excellent candidates for the preparation of electroluminescent devices, which represent a straightforward approach to the development of unprecedented high-quality displays. We synthesized light-emitting QDs covering the entire visible spectrum with high fluorescence quantum yields and color purity, and produced high-brightness single-color LEDs with external quantum efficiencies of 0.39%, 1.04%, 2.10%, and 1.30% for red-, orange-, green-, and blue-emitting dots, respectively. Additional136 white LEDs were prepared by mixing QDs; they showed color temperatures of 5,300 K and color rendering indices exceeding 80%. Very importantly, we exhaustively characterized the LED performance, including the response time, stability, and evolution of the light characteristics, thus providing crucial information toward the development of high-quality electroluminescent displays.

We examine a capacitated system exposed to random stepwise capacity disruptions with exponentially distributed interarrival times and tmiformly distributed magnitudes. We explore two countermeasure policies for a risk-neutral decision maker who seeks to maximize the long-nm average reward. A one-phase policy considers implementation of countermeasures throughout the entirety of a disruption cycle. The results of this analysis form a basis for a two-phase model which implements countermeasures during only a fraction of a disruption cycle. We present an extensive numerical analysis as well as a sensitivity study on the fluctuations of some system parameter values.

Accurate and reliable predictions of pest species distributions in forest ecosystems are urgently needed by forest managers to develop management plans and monitor new areas of potential ***-only species distribution models are commonly used in these *** maximum entropy algorithm(MaxEnt)has gained popularity for modelling species ***,MaxEnt was used to model the spatial distribution of the Mexican pine bark beetle(Dendroctonus mexicanus)in a daily fashion by using forecast data from the Weather Research and Forecasting *** study aimed to exploit freely available geographic and environmental data and software and thus provide a pathway to overcome the lack of costly data and technical guidance that are a challenge to implementing national monitoring and management strategies in developing *** results showed overall agreement values between 60 and 87%.The results of this research can be used for *** monitoring and management and may aid as a model to monitor similar species.

An oxidation resistance study has been made on Nb-Cr-V-W-Ta high entropy alloy in a range of temperature from 600 to 1400℃in *** oxidation study has been performed for either(a)12 or 24 h of heating time or(b)3 or 10℃/min heating rates to the desired oxidation *** oxidation study conducted for three and a half days has been conducted at 600,700,and 800℃using 12 h of heating *** alloy can withstand the cyclic oxidation process with only a reasonable loss of *** identification of oxides indicates crystals of W and Ta oxides in cylindrical form while Nb and Cr oxides show a nodular or granular morphology at both 1000 and 1200℃while and additional of oxide of V in whisker forms at 1200℃.
