The photocatalytic activity of catalysts depends on the energy-harvesting ability and the separation or transport of photogenerated carriers. The light absorption capacity of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4)-based composites can be enhanced by adjusting the surface plasmon resonance (sPR) of noble metal nanoparticles (e.g., Cu, Au, and Pd) in the entire visible region. Adjustments can be carried out by varying the nanocomponents of the materials. The sPR of noble metals can enhance the local electromagnetic field and improve interband transition, and resonant energy transfer occurs from plasmonic dipoles to electron–hole pairs via near-field electromagnetic interactions. Thus, noble metals have emerged as relevant nanocomponents for g-C3N4 used in CO2 photoreduction and water splitting. Herein, recent key advances in noble metals (either in single atom, cluster, or nanoparticle forms) and composite photocatalysts based on inorganic or organic nanocomponent-incorporated g-C3N4 nanosheets are systematically discussed, including the applications of these photocatalysts, which exhibit improved photoinduced charge mobility in CO2 photoconversion and H2 production. Issues related to the different types of multi-nanocomponent heterostructures (involving schottky junctions, Z-/s-scheme heterostructures, noble metals, and additional semiconductor nanocomponents) and the adjustment of dimensionality of heterostructures (by incorporating noble metal nanoplates on g-C3N4 forming 2d/2d heterostructures) are explored. The current prospects and possible challenges of g-C3N4 composite photocatalysts incorporated with noble metals (e.g., Au, Pt, Pd, and Cu), particularly in water splitting, CO2 reduction, pollution degradation, and chemical conversion applications, are summarized.

salt marshes are an important blue carbon ecosystem, with surprisingly fast carbon accumulation rates that are 40 times higher than those of terrestrial forests. In recent decades, salt marshes have suffered great degradation and loss all over the world. The idea to enhance carbon stock in salt marshes(so-called blue carbon) using biochar (so-called black carbon) has recently been proposed. Although experiments and observations remain limited, significant enhancements in soil organic carbon and plant growth have been documented in most case studies. However, due to the limited number of observations and their relatively short time window ranging from months to less than one year, there still exists a knowledge gap regarding the process, mechanism, and effect of biochar in enhancing carbon stock in salt marshes. Future research is urgently needed in the following perspectives:1) exploring the relationship between carbon stock enhancement efficiency and biochar properties, 2) optimizing the physical and chemical properties of biochar to boost its efficiency, and 3)studying the in-situ responses of complex carbon pools to biochar addition, especially under tidal conditions and over a longer period of time.

In this paper,we discuss the related properties of some particular derivations in semihoops and give some characterizations of ***,we prove that every Heyting algebra is isomorphic to the algebra of all multiplicative derivations and show that every Boolean algebra is isomorphic to the algebra of all implicative ***,we show that the sets of multiplicative and implicative derivations on bounded regular idempotent semihoops are in oneto-one correspondence.

Polyimides are a family of high-tech plastics that have irreplaceable applications in the fields of aerospace, defense, and opto-electronics, but polyimides are difficult to be reprocessed and recycled at the end of their service life, resulting in a significant waste of resources. Hence, it is of great significance to develop recyclable polyimides with comparable properties to the commercial products. Herein, we report a novel polymer-to-monomers chemically recyclable poly(imide-imine)(PtM-CR-PII) plastic, synthesized by cross-linking the amine-terminated aromatic bisimide monomer and the hexa-vanillin terminated cyclophosphazene monomer via dynamic imine bonds. The PtM-CR-PII plastic exhibits comparable mechanical and thermal properties as well as chemical stability to the commercial polyimides. The PtM-CR-PII plastic possesses a high Young’s modulus of≈3.2 GPa and a tensile strength as high as≈108 MPa, which also exhibits high thermal stability with a glass transition temperature of≈220°C. Moreover, the PtM-CR-PII plastic exhibits outstanding waterproofness, acid/alkali-resistance, and solvent-resistance, its appearance and mechanical properties can be well maintained after long-term soaking in water, highly concentrated acid and base, and various organic solvents. Furthermore, the cyclophosphazene moieties endow the PtM-CR-PII plastic with excellent flame retardancy. The PtM-CR-PII plastic exhibits the highest UL-94 flame-retarding rating of V-0 and a limiting oxygen index (LOI) value of 45.5%. Importantly, the PtM-CR-PII plastic can be depolymerized in an organic solvents-acid mixture medium at room temperature, allowing easy separation and recovery of both monomers in high purity. The recovered pure monomers can be used to regenerate new PtM-CR-PII plastics, enabling sustainable polymer-monomers-polymer circulation.

studying the system state of coexistence regions will peek into to reveal microscopic interactions between different phases of a thermodynamic ***,there is no effective method to study thermodynamic nature of the coexistence black hole regions for the failure of the equation of *** at these coexistence states,in this work,we develop a general approach by introducing two new ratio *** first one is the ratio of the horizon radii of the saturated coexistence small and large black holes,and the second one measures that of the small black hole molecule number to the total molecule *** demonstrate that the first parameter can serve as an order parameter to characterize the first-order phase *** study also shows that the black hole state in the coexistence region is uniquely determined by these two introduced parameters bounded between 0 and *** results are quite significant in the analytical study of phase transition and the microscopic nature of black hole in the coexistence regions.
