We report the detection of type-B quasi-periodic oscillation(QPO)of the black hole X-ray binary swift J1728.9-3613 observed by NICER during the 2019 outburst.A type-B QPO was observed for the first two days and it disappeared as flux increased,but again appeared at∼7.70 Hz when flux was dramatically decreased.The source was found in the soft intermediate state during these observations.We further studied the energy dependence of the QPO.We found that QPO was observed only for a higher energy range implying that the origin of QPO is possibly due to the corona emitting higher energy photons by the inverse Compton process.The variation of spectral parameters can be explained with the disk truncation model.The fractional rms was found to be monotonically increased with energy.The phase lag spectrum followed the“U-shaped”curve.The rms and phase lag spectrum are modeled and explained with the single-component Comptonization model vkompthdk.

Colorectal cancer is a leading cause of cancerrelated mortality,with nearly half of the affected patients developing liver metastases.For three decades,liver resection(LR)has been the primary curative strategy,yet its applicability is limited to about 20%of cases.Liver transplantation(LT)for unresectable metastases was attempted unsuccessfully in the 1990s,with high rates of perioperative death and recurrence.There is now more interest in this strategy due to improvements in systemic therapies and surgical techniques.A significant study conducted by the Oslo group showed that patients receiving liver transplants had a 60%chance of survival after five years.significantly better results have been achieved by using advanced imaging for risk stratification and further refining selection criteria,especially in the Norvegian sECA trials.This review carefully charts the development and history of LT as a treatment option for colorectal cancer liver metastases.The revolutionary path from the early days of exploratory surgery to the current situation of cautious optimism is traced,highlighting the critical clinical developments and improved patient selection standards that have made LT a potentially curative treatment for such challenging very well selected cases.

The intuitive fuzzy set has found important application in decision-making and machine learning.To enrich and utilize the intuitive fuzzy set,this study designed and developed a deep neural network-based glaucoma eye detection using fuzzy difference equations in the domain where the retinal images converge.Retinal image detections are categorized as normal eye recognition,suspected glaucomatous eye recognition,and glaucomatous eye recognition.Fuzzy degrees associated with weighted values are calculated to determine the level of concentration between the fuzzy partition and the retinal images.The proposed model was used to diagnose glaucoma using retinal images and involved utilizing the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and deep learning to identify the fuzzy weighted regularization between images.This methodology was used to clarify the input images and make them adequate for the process of glaucoma detection.The objective of this study was to propose a novel approach to the early diagnosis of glaucoma using the Fuzzy Expert system(FEs)and Fuzzy differential equation(FdE).The intensities of the different regions in the images and their respective peak levels were determined.Once the peak regions were identified,the recurrence relationships among those peaks were then measured.Image partitioning was done due to varying degrees of similar and dissimilar concentrations in the image.similar and dissimilar concentration levels and spatial frequency generated a threshold image from the combined fuzzy matrix and FdE.This distinguished between a normal and abnormal eye condition,thus detecting patients with glaucomatous eyes.

The integer-order interdependent calcium([Ca^(2+)])and nitric oxide(NO)systems are unable to shed light on the influences of the superdiffusion and memory in triggering Brownian motion(BM)in neurons.Therefore,a mathematical model is constructed for the fractional-order nonlinear spatiotemporal systems of[Ca^(2+)]and NO incorporating reaction-diffusion equations in neurons.The two-way feedback process between[Ca^(2+)]and NO systems through calcium feedback on NO production and NO feedback on calcium through cyclic guanosine monophosphate(cGMP)with plasmalemmal[Ca^(2+)]-ATPase(PMCA)was incorporated in the model.The Crank–Nicholson scheme(CNs)with Grunwald approximation along spatial derivatives and L1 scheme along temporal derivatives with Gauss–seidel(Gs)iterations were employed.The numerical outcomes were analyzed to get insights into superdiffusion,buffer,and memory exhibiting BM of[Ca^(2+)]and NO systems.The conditions,events and mechanisms leading to dysfunctions in calcium and NO systems and causing different diseases like Parkinson’s were explored in neurons.

Purpose:The role of topical vancomycin in fracture-related infection(FRI)is debatable.Very few studies have reported their efficacy in open and high-risk extremity fractures.This study aimed to assess topical vancomycin's role in reducing FRI in closed fractures undergoing open surgical intervention with an implant.Methods:This prospective randomized cohort study was carried out between February 2021 to January 2022.Patients with isolated closed fractures,who were planned for open reduction and internal fixation within 2 weeks from the time of injury were included for this study.The data collected included age,gender,socioeconomic status,mechanism of injury,diagnosis,Tscherne classification,and time interval to take up for surgery.Patients were randomized into the intervention and control groups using the block randomization technique.The control group received only systemic antibiotic prophylaxis,whereas the intervention group received topical application of vancomycin powder in the surgical wound alongside systemic antibiotic prophylaxis.The primary outcome measure was the incidence of FRI among these individuals.Clinical and radiological findings and culture reports(in cases with infection)were recorded during the post-operative period and at 6 weeks of follow-up.All relevant statistical calculations were done using sTATA statistical/data analysis-parallel edition version 16.0(stataCorp LLC).The quantitative variables like age and duration of the surgery were assessed for normalcy by shapiro-Wilk W test.An independent samples t-test with equal variances was applied to the age data.Fisher's exact test was used for the analysis of the primary outcome measure(presence of FRI following surgery),and"Risk of FRI"and"Risk difference"between the 2 groups was calculated.The strength of the association between qualitative variables was assessed using the Fisher's exact and Chi-square tests,respectively.Results:There were 88 patients included in this study.No statistical significance was found about FRI between both grou

This work aims to present and explore thermal management techniques for the wire arc additive manufacturing(WAAM)of IN718 components.Excessive heat can be mitigated via air or water cooling.In this study,the material was deposited under four different heat-input conditions with air or water cooling.In air cooling,the layer is deposited in a normal atmospheric air environment,whereas with water cooling,the material is deposited inside a water tank by varying the water level.To validate the air and water cooling thermal management techniques,IN718 single-pass and multilayer linear walls were deposited using the bidirectional gas metal arc welding based WAAM setup under four different heat input conditions.during the deposition of single layers,the temperature profiles were recorded,and the geometric and microstructural features were explored.For multilayer wall structures,the mechanical properties(hardness,tensile strength,and elongation)were determined and assessed using the corresponding microstructural features explored through scanning electron microscopy(sEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(Eds),and electron backscatter diffraction(EBsd)analyses.The microstructure observed through sEM analysis in the building direction was found to be nonhomogenous compared with that in the deposition direction.Moreover,water cooling was found to govern bead characteristics,such as wall width and height.The grain size and anisotropy of the mechanical properties also decreased in the water-cooled case.Hence,water cooling is an economical and efficient method to mitigate excessive heat accumulation in WAAM-deposited IN718.

sediment accumulation on the bed of open sewers and drains reduces hydraulic efficiency and can cause localized flooding.slotted invert traps installed underneath the bed of open sewers and drains can eliminate sediment build-up by catching sediment load.Previous three-dimensional(3d)computational studies have examined the particle trapping performance of invert traps of different shapes and depths under varied sediment and flow conditions,considering particles as spheres.For two-dimensional and 3d numerical modeling,researchers assumed the lid geometry to be a thin line and a plane,respectively.In this 3d numerical study,the particle trapping efficiency of a slotted irregular hexagonal invert trap fitted at the flume bottom was examined by incorporating the particle shape factor of non-spherical sewage solid particles and the thicknesses of upstream and downstream lids over the trap in the discrete phase model of the ANsYs Fluent 2020 R1 software.The volume of fluid(VOF)and the realizable k-turbulence models were used to predict the velocity field.The two-dimensional particle image velocimetry(PIV)was used to measure the velocity field inside the invert trap.The results showed that the thicknesses of upstream and downstream lids affected the velocity field and turbulent kinetic energy at all flow depths.The joint impact of the particle shape factor and lid thickness on the trap efficiency was significant.When both the lid thickness and particle shape factor were considered in the numerical modeling,trap efficiencies were underestimated,with relative errors of-8.66%to-0.65%in comparison to the experimental values of Mohsin and Kaushal(2017).They were also lower than the values predicted by Mohsin and Kaushal(2017),which showed an overall overestimation with errors of-2.3%to 17.4%.

The system of(1+1)-coupled drinfel’d-sokolov-Wilson equations describes the surface gravity waves travelling horizontally on the seabed.The objective of the present research is to construct a new variety of analytical solutions for the system.The invariants are derived with the aid of Killing form by using the optimal algebra classification via Lie symmetry approach.The invariant solutions involve time,space variables,and arbitrary constants.Imposing adequate constraints on arbitrary constants,solutions are represented graphically to make them more applicable in designing sea models.The behavior of solutions shows asymptotic,bell-shaped,bright and dark soliton,bright soliton,parabolic,bright and kink,kink,and periodic nature.The constructed results are novel as the reported results[26,28,29,30,33,38,42,49]can be deduced from the results derived in this study.The remaining solutions derived in this study,are absolutely different from the earlier findings.In this study,the physical character of analytical solutions of the system could aid coastal engineers in creating models of beaches and ports.

Zero trust architecture(ZTA)is a paradigm shift in how we protect data,stay connected and access resources.ZTA is non-perimeter-based defence,which has been emerging as a promising revolution in the cyber security field.It can be used to continuously maintain security by safeguarding against attacks both from inside and outside of the network system.However,ZTA automation and orchestration,towards seamless deployment on real-world networks,has been limited to be reviewed in the existing literature.In this paper,we first identify the bottlenecks,discuss the background of ZTA and compare it with traditional perimeter-based security architectures.More importantly,we provide an in-depth analysis of state-of-the-art AI techniques that have the potential in the automation and orchestration of ZTA.Overall,in this review paper,we develop a foundational view on the challenges and potential enablers for the automation and orchestration of ZTA.
