The prevalence of smartphones is deeply embedded in modern society,impacting various aspects of our *** versatility and functionalities have fundamentally changed how we communicate,work,seek entertainment,and access *** the many smartphones available,those operating on the Android platform dominate,being the most widely used *** widespread adoption of the Android Os has significantly contributed to increased malware attacks targeting the Android ecosystem in recent ***,there is an urgent need to develop new methods for detecting Android *** literature contains numerous works related to Android malware *** far as our understanding extends,we are the first ones to identify dangerous combinations of permissions and system calls to uncover malicious behavior in Android *** introduce a novel methodology that pairs permissions and system calls to distinguish between benign and malicious *** approach combines the advantages of static and dynamic analysis,offering a more comprehensive understanding of an application’s *** establish covalent bonds between permissions and system calls to assess their combined *** introduce a novel technique to determine these pairs’Covalent Bond strength *** pair is assigned two scores,one for malicious behavior and another for benign *** scores serve as the basis for classifying applications as benign or *** correlating permissions with system calls,the study enables a detailed examination of how an app utilizes its requested permissions,aiding in differentiating legitimate and potentially harmful *** comprehensive analysis provides a robust framework for Android malware detection,marking a significant contribution to the *** results of our experiments demonstrate a remarkable overall accuracy of 97.5%,surpassing various state-of-the-art detection techniques proposed in the current literature.

Generalized polynomial chaos expansion by reanalysis using static condensation based on substructuring

This paper presents a new computational method for forward uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale structural systems in the presence of arbitrary and dependent random *** method consists of a generalized polynomial chaos expansion(GPCE)for statistical moment and reliability analyses associated with the stochastic output and a static reanalysis method to generate the input-output data *** the reanalysis,we employ substructuring for a structure to isolate its local regions that vary due to random *** allows for avoiding repeated computations of invariant substructures while generating the input-output data *** substructuring with static condensation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing ***,the GPCE with the static reanalysis method can achieve significant computational saving,thus mitigating the curse of dimensionality to some degree for UQ under high-dimensional *** numerical results obtained from a simple structure indicate that the proposed method for UQ produces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCE using full finite element analyses(FEAs).We also demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of the proposed method by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box structure under ten-dimensional(all-dependent)random inputs.

Concrete is the most widely utilized material for construction purposes,second only to water,in the ever-increasing need for construction *** is a brittle material and possesses a high risk of crack formation and consequent ***,which allows chemicals to enter and can cause concrete structures to lose their physico-mechanical and durability *** and rehabilitating concrete structures involves high costs and leads to various repair methods including coating,adhesives,polymers,supplementary cementitious materials(sCMs),and *** of the latest technologies is the use of microorganisms in *** added microorganisms lead to calcite precipitation and thereby heal the cracks *** study presents a comprehensive literature survey on bacteria-included concrete,before which a bibliographic survey is performed using VOsViewer *** addition to regular bacterial concrete,this study focuses on also using sCMs and fibers in bacterial concrete.A detailed literature review with data representation for various mechanical properties including compressive strength(Cs),split tensile strength(ss),and flexure strength(Fs),along with durability properties including carbonation,water absorption,resistance against chloride ion penetration,gas permeation,and resistance against cyclic freeze-and-thaw is presented.A study on the use of X-ray computed tomography(XCT)in bacterial concrete is highlighted,and the scope for future research,along with identification of the research gap,is presented.

Early Paleozoic basement diorite of arc-magmatism from Kutch basin, Western India

In this study,we report for theﬁrst time an Early Palaeozoic basement diorite from the drilled well Nirona-A in the Banni Half-Graben of the Kutch basin,western *** 40Ar–39Ar dates provided a plateau age of 441.84±2.66 Ma and another pseudo plateau of 441.28±5.82 to 388.08±16.65 Ma for the basement *** ages constrain the basement formation age to the Late Ordovician-Early silurian *** obtained basement ages are correlatable with the later part of Cambro-Ordovician alkaline magmatism that has been reported from the Huqf area in Central Oman,whereas their lithological and petrographic correlativity with base-ment diorites occurring in the dinsi Body of Nagar Parkar igneous complex in Pakistan can also be *** geochemical studies characterized the diorite with enrich-ment of LILE(Rb,Ba,and K)and LREE(La,Ce,Nd),strong depletion of HFsE(Nb,sr,P,and Ti),along with weakly negative Eu *** geochemical signatures indicate their petrogenetic afﬁliation with mantle-derived magmas,as well as their tectonic setting to be arc-related,having post-collisional continental-arc type afﬁ****440 Ma basement of Kutch,therefore,appears to rep-resent the later thermal event associated with the reworked Neoproterozoic subduction-related suite from Greater India’s northwest edge,which has implications for Gond-wana assembly in the northwest Indian subcontinent.

Investigating the Evolution of Amati Parameters with Redshift

Gamma-ray bursts(GRBs) are among the brightest objects in the Universe and, hence, can be observed up to a very high redshift. Properly calibrated empirical correlations between intensity and spectral correlations of GRBs can be used to estimate the cosmological parameters. However, the possibility of the evolution of GRBs with redshift is a long-standing puzzle. In this work, we used 162 long-duration GRBs to determine whether GRBs below and above a certain redshift have different properties. The GRBs are split into two groups, and we fit the Amati relation for each group separately. Our findings demonstrate that estimations of the Amati parameters for the two groups are substantially dissimilar. We perform simulations to investigate whether the selection effects could cause the difference. Our analysis shows that the differences may be either intrinsic or due to systematic errors in the data, and the selection effects are not their true origin. However, in-depth analysis with a new data set comprised of 119 long GRBs shows that intrinsic scatter may partly be responsible for such effects.
