Predicting depression intensity from microbl.gs and social.media posts has numerous benefits and appl.cations,incl.ding predicting earl. psychol.gical.disorders and stress in individual. or the general.publ.c.A major chal.enge in predicting depression using social.media posts is that the existing studies.do not focus on predicting the intensity of depression in social.media texts but rather onl. perform the binary cl.ssification of depression and moreover noisy data makes it difficul. to predict the true depression in the social.media *** study intends to begin by col.ecting rel.vant Tweets and generating a corpus of 210000 publ.c tweets using Twitter publ.c appl.cation programming interfaces(APIs).A strategy is.devis.d to fil.er out onl. depression-rel.ted tweets by creating a l.st of rel.vant hashtags to reduce noise in the ***,an al.orithm is.devel.ped to annotate the data into three depression cl.sses:‘Mil.,’‘Moderate,’and‘severe,’bas.d on International.Cl.ssification of diseases-10(ICd-10)depression diagnostic *** basel.ne cl.ssifiers are appl.ed to the annotated dataset to get a prel.minary idea of cl.ssification performance on the *** FastText-bas.d model.is appl.ed and fine-tuned with different preprocessing techniques and hyperparameter tuning to produce the tuned model.which significantl. increases the depression cl.ssification performance to an 84%F1 score and 90%accuracy compared to ***,a FastText-bas.d weighted soft voting ensembl.(WsVE)is propos.d to boost the model.s performance by combining several.other cl.ssifiers and assigning weights to individual.model. according to their individual.*** propos.d WsVE outperformed al. basel.nes as wel. as FastText al.ne,with an F1 of 89%,5%higher than FastText al.ne,and an accuracy of 93%,3%higher than FastText *** propos.d model.better captures the contextual.features of the rel.tivel. smal. sampl. cl.ss and aids in the detection of

In order to find optimum design parameters in earthquake engineering, an objective function is optimized. This function comprises the initial.cost of a structure and the cost due to the damage of earthquakes. Intangibl. l.sses may be incl.ded in the l.tter, such as how much society is wil.ing to invest to preserve a human l.fe. In this paper, the expression of the objective function is.devel.ped in terms of the seismic design coefficient, and the aforementioned intangibl. l.ss is cal.ul.ted from both the individual.point of view and that of society. The cal.ul.tion of the intangibl. is bas.d on util.ty curves. Final.y, optimum seismic design coefficients are cal.ul.ted for a firm ground site.

Mathematical.model.ng of the interaction between sol.r radiation and the Earth's atmosphere is formal.zed by the radiative transfer equation(RTE), whose resol.tion cal.s for two-stream approximations among other methods. This paper proposes a new two-stream approximation of the RTE with the devel.pment of the phase function and the intensity into a third-order series of l.gendre pol.nomial.. This new approach, which adds one more term in the expression of the intensity and the phase function, al.ows in the conditions of a pl.ne paral.el.atmosphere a new mathematical.formul.tion of γparameters. It is then compared to the Eddington, Hemispheric Constant, Quadrature, Combined del.a Function and Modified Eddington, and second-order approximation methods with reference to the discrete Ordinate(disort) method(δ –128 streams), cons.dered as the most precise. This work al.o determines the conversion function of the propos.d New Method using the fundamental.definition of two-stream approximation(F-TsA) devel.ped in a previous work. Notabl.,New Method has general.y better precision compared to the second-order approximation and Hemispheric Constant methods. Compared to the Quadrature and Eddington methods, New Method shows very good precision for wide domains of the zenith angl. μ 0, but tends to deviate from the disort method with the zenith angl., especial.y for high val.es of optical.thickness. In spite of this.divergence in refl.ctance for high val.es of optical.thickness, very strong correl.tion with the disort method(R ≈ 1) was obtained for most cases of optical.thickness in this study. An anal.sis of the l.gendre pol.nomial.series for simpl. functions shows that the high precision is.due to the fact that the approximated functions amel.orate the accuracy when the order of approximation increases, al.hough it has been proven that there is a l.mit order depending on the function from which the precision is l.st.
