For any odd prime p such that p^m ≡ 3 (mod 4), consider all units Λ of the finite commutative chain ring Ra=Fpm[u]/〈u^a〉=Fp^m+uFp^m+…+u^a1Fp^m that have the form Λ=Λ0 + uΛ1 ++ u^a1 Λa1, where Λ0,Λ1,…,Λa1 p^m,Λ0 ≠ 0,Λ1 ≠ 0. The class of Λ-constacyclic codes of length 4p^s over a is investigated. If the unit Λ is a square, each Λ-constacyclic code of length 4p^s is expressed as a direct sum of a λ-constacyclic code and a λ-constacyclic code of length 2p^s. In the main case that the unit Λ is not a square, we prove that the polynomial x^4 λ0 can be decomposed as a product of two quadratic irreducible and monic coprime factors, where λ^p^s0=Λ0. From this, the ambient ring Ra[x]/sΛ>is proven to be a principal ideal ring, whose maximal ideals are and , where λ0 =4η^4. We also give the unique self-dual Type 1 Λ-constacyclic codes of length 4p^s over a. Furthermore, conditions for a Type 1 Λ-constacyclic code to be self-orthogonal and dual-containing are provided.

Dear Editor,Influenza A viruses cause pandemics at an interval of approximately 10-40 years,and pigs are regarded as a＂mixing vessel＂because they are easily infected with avian and human influenza viruses（Ito et al.,1998）.According to previous studies,H3N2,H1N2,and H1N1 subtypes o（swine influenza viruses have been detected in Korean pigs （Pascua et al., 2013; Kim et al., 2014; song et al., 2007）. Moreover, a novel H3N2 influenza virus containing the matrix （34） gene from a 2009 pandemic influenza virus was detected in Korean pigs in 2013 （Pascua et al., 2013）, an H1N2 influenza virus con- taining the internal genes from a 2009 pandemic influ- enza virus was found in Korean pigs in 2014 （Kim et al., 2014）, and an H1N1 influenza virus containing all genes from the classical swine influenza viruses was isolated from Korean pigs in 2007 （song et al., 2007）.

Biofilter:a promising tool for mitigating methane emission from manure storage

Liquid manure storage may contribute to methane （CH4） emission and this emission can be greatly reduced if appropriate management practices are applied. Biofiltration has been used in other fields for mitigating greenhouse gas （GHG） emission （e.g., landfill） and shown promise for mitigation OH4 emis- sion from liquid manure storage. It has been reported that biofilter was capable of reducing 80% of CH4 emissions from manure storage. The OH4 removal efficiency is influenced by many factors, including OH4 and 02 concentrations, temperature, moisture, composition of the filter bed, nutrient, and empty bed resi- dency time （EBRT）. Biological conversion of methane of a biofilter is a slow process due to the low water solubility of methane. The residence times （EBRT） between 5 min and 5 h have been used, whereas a typical EBRT of 25 s is used for common biofilter applications. Temperature at which methanotrophic bac- teria are active ranges from 10℃ to 45℃. The maximum activity is found at around 30℃. The optimal filter bed water content depends on both the gas flow rate and the type of filter bed （soil, compost, etc.） and ranges from 30%-70% of the water holding capacity. Compost is the best material for filter bed. The optimal pH for methanotrophic bacteria is neutral to slightly acidic. Copper and nitrogen compounds especially nitrate are important nutrients to methanotrophic bacteria but their optimal concentrations have not been founded. Phosphorus and other elements such as potassium and manganese are reported to affect the performance of methanotrophic bacteria but need further confirmation.

The saturated solubility of carbon and nitrogen in Fe-C-N and Fe-C-B-N melts was measured experimentally at 1 485℃ to obtain the activity interaction coefficients between components in these melts. A new method was used to treat experimental results. Using thermodynamic derivation and calculation, some important interac- tion coefficients between components in these melts were obtained.

The electrochemical redox reaction of hemoglobin on bare silver electrode usingcetyl pyridinium chloride as promoter is described. The electrode reaction exibits such a goodstability that the peak currents change less than 8.5% (oxidation) and 10.2% (reduction) incontinuing scan of 30 min in a solution containing 1x10-7 nol/L hemoglobin The rate constant Ks is0.0865s-1 with a single electron transfer. Based on guides RG 1.109, RG 1.111 published by United states Nuclear Regulatory Commission (UsNRC), our research concentrates in assessing radiation doses caused by radioactive substances released from the nuclear power plant (NPP) Ninh Thuan 1 under the scenario of normal operation using software package NRCDose72 provided by the UsNRC. The database including the released radioactive nuclides, meteorology, terrain, population and agricultural production activities have been collected and processed to build the input data for the model calculation. The wind rose distribution obtained from the meteorological data in a five-year period from 2009-2013 showed that the radioactive nuclides released to environment spread in two main wind directions which are North East and south West. The X/Q (s/m3) and D/Q (s/m2) qualities which are, respectively, the ratio of activity concentration to release rate and that of deposition density of radioactive nuclides to release rate were calculated within an area of 80 km radius from the NPP site using XOQDOQ. Population doses were calculated using GAsPAR. The XOQDOQ and GAsPAR are two specific softwares in NRCDose72 package.
