Notwithstanding the religious intention of billions of devotees,the religious mass gathering increased major public health concerns since it likely became a huge super spreading event for the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(sARs-CoV-2).Most attendees ignored preventive measures,namely maintaining physical distance,practising hand hygiene,and wearing *** a face mask in public areas protects people from spreading *** intelligence(AI)based on deep learning(DL)and machine learning(ML)could assist in fighting covid-19 in several *** study introduces a new deep learning-based Face Mask Detection in Religious Mass Gathering(DLFMD-RMG)technique during the COVID-19 *** DLFMD-RMG technique focuses mainly on detecting face masks in a religious mass *** accomplish this,the presented DLFMD-RMG technique undergoes two pre-processing levels:Bilateral Filtering(BF)and Contrast *** face detection,the DLFMD-RMG technique uses YOLOv5 with a ResNet-50 *** addition,the face detection performance can be improved by the seeker optimization algorithm(sOA)for tuning the hyperparameter of the ResNet-50 module,showing the novelty of the *** last,the faces with and without masks are classified using the Fuzzy Neural Network(FNN)*** stimulation study of the DLFMD-RMG algorithm is examined on a benchmark *** results highlighted the remarkable performance of the DLFMD-RMG model algorithm in other recent approaches.

L-shell x-ray fluorescence relative intensities for elements with 62≤Z≤83 at 18 keV and 23 keV by synchrotron radiation

The relative intensities of L-subshell x-ray fluorescence(XRF)for elements with atomic numbers 62≤Z≤83 were measured at two excitation energies,18 keV and 23 keV,using a synchrotron radiation source at a beamline of the synchrotron Light Center for Experimental science and Applications in the Middle East(sEsAME),*** experimentally measured results of the relative intensities were compared with the calculated results using the subshell fluorescence yield and the Coster-Kronig transition probabilities recommended by Campbell and the values based on the Dirac-Hartree-slater model by *** experimental and theoretical results are in *** this work,L XRF relative intensities for the elements sm,Gd,Tb,Er,Ta,W,Re,Hg,Pb and Bi at energies of 18 keV and 23 keV were measured.

Numerical evaluation of radiation and optical coupling occurring in optical coupler

We present in this work a new mathematical model to analyze and evaluate optical phenomena occurring in the nonuniform optical waveguide used in integrated optics as an optical coupler. By introducing some modifications to the intrinsic integral, we perfectly assess the radiation field present in the adjacent medium of the waveguide and, thus, follow the evolution of the optical coupling from the taper thin film to the substrate and cladding until there is a total energy transfer. The new model that is introduced can be used to evaluate electromagnetic field distribution in three mediums that constitute any nonuniform optical couplers presenting great or low wedge angles.

Landslide inventory and susceptibility assessment using multiple statistical approaches along the Karakoram highway,northern Pakistan

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC)is a framework of regional connectivity,which will not only benefit China and Pakistan but will have positive impact on Iran,Afghanistan,India,Central Asian Republic,and the *** surrounding area in CPEC is prone to frequent disruption by geological hazards mainly landslides in northern *** landslide inventory and susceptibility assessment are rarely available to utilize for landslide mitigation *** study aims to utilize the high-resolution satellite images to develop a comprehensive landslide inventory and subsequently develop landslide susceptibility maps using multiple *** very high-resolution(VHR)satellite images are utilized to develop a landslide inventory using the visual image classification techniques,historic records and field observations.A total of 1632 landslides are mapped in the *** statistical models i.e.,frequency ratio,artificial neural network,weights of evidence and logistic regression were used for landslide susceptibility modeling by comparing the landslide inventory with the topographic parameters,geological features,drainage and road *** developed landslides susceptibility maps were verified using the area under curve(AUC)*** prediction power of the model was assessed by the prediction rate *** success rate curves show 93%,92.8%,92.7%and 87.4%accuracy of susceptibility maps for frequency ratio,artificial neural network,weights of evidence and logistic regression,*** developed landslide inventory and susceptibility maps can be used for land use planning and landslide mitigation strategies.

Quantum photodetachment of hydrogen negative ion in a harmonic potential subjected to static electric field

Photodetachment of negative ions has attracted immense interest owing to its fundamental nature and practical implications with regard to technology. In this study, we explore the quantum dynamics of the photodetachment cross section of negative ion of hydrogen H-in the perturbed one dimensional linear harmonic potential via static electric field. To this end,the quantum formula for total photodetachment cross section of the H-ion is derived by calculating the dipole matrix element in spherical coordinates. In order to obtain the detached electron wave function, we have solved the time-independent schr¨odinger wave equation for the perturbed Hamiltonian of the harmonic oscillator in momentum representation. To acquire the corresponding normalized final state detached electron wave function in momentum space, we have employed an approach analogous to the WKB(Wenzel–Kramers–Brillouin) approximation. The resulting analytical formula of total photodetachment cross section depicts interesting oscillator structure that varies considerably with incident-photon energy,oscillator potential frequency, and electric field strength as elucidated by the numerical results. The current problem having close analogy with the stark effect in charged harmonic oscillator may have potential implications in atomic and molecular physics and quantum optics.

short and long-term outcomes of angle supported phakic intraocular lens implantation in high myopic eyes

This cohort study included 36 eyes of 21 patients with high myopia treated with angle supported phakic intraocular lens（p IOL）.Endothelial cell density（ECD） at baseline,6 mo and 3 y were 3017±296,2775±265 and 2558±299 cells/mm^2 *** loss at 6 mo was 7.2% and annual ECD loss was 3% over 36 *** distance visual acuity at 36 mo was 0.4 log MAR or better in 32（88.9%） *** pressure did not change（P=0.9）.No eyes developed cataract,retinal detachment or pupillary *** supported p IOL gives good visual *** cell loss should be monitored.

Evaluation of optical propagation and radiation in optical waveguide using a numerical method

We introduce a mathematical model based on a concept of intrinsic mode in order to analyse and synthesise optical wave propagation and radiation occurring in a non-uniform optical waveguide used in integrated optics as optical coupler. The model is based on numerical evaluation of electromagnetic wave by applying an intrinsic field integral to evaluate the field behaviour inside the optical waveguide. To analyse the field distribution inside the non-uniform waveguide and predict the beam propagation of optical energy involved in the propagation process, it is necessary to track the motion of any observation point along the tapered waveguide itself. Physically, the rays of the spectrum undergo reflections on the waveguide boundaries until the cut-off occurs and the phenomena of radiation begin. The numerical results show good agreement with those obtained by classical methods of evaluation used bv other works.

The sandstones of the Late miocene–Pliocene Dibdibba Formation in the Najaf–Karbala Plateau and Basra were examined to determine their source rocks and origin. The rare earth elements(REE) and trace elements(sc, Co, V, and Th) concentrations in these sandstones revealed that they likely derived from a single source. The steep light rare earth elements(LREE) and flat, heavy rare earth element(HREE) patterns, negative Eu anomaly, and high ΣREE contents in sandstones suggest its derivation from a suggests that a passive continental margin environment and originated from felsic source rocks. The average concentration of ΣREE is 93.5 ppm, which is lower than that of the average crustal compositions like Upper Continental Crust and Post Archean Australian shale. The higher proportion of LREE compared to HREE implies that these sandstones were recycled and derived from a distal source. The Th/Co, Th/sc, La/sc, La/Co, Eu/Eu*and(La/Lu)cn elemental ratios indicated that these Late Miocene–Pliocene sandstones were derived from felsic rocks located in the marginal region of the Arabian shield.

A comparative study of bismuth-based photocatalysts with titanium dioxide for perfluorooctanoic acid degradation

Bismuth-based material has been broadly studied due to their potential applications in various areas,especially used as promising photocatalysts for the removal of persistent organic pollutants(POPs) and several approaches have been adopted to tailor their ***,the bismuth-based photocatalysts(BiOCl,BiPO4,BiOPO4/BiOCl) were synthesized by hydrothermal method and advanced characterization techniques(XRD,sEM,EDs elemental mapping,Raman and UV-vis DRs) were employed to analyze their morphology,crystal structure,and purity of the prepared *** synthesized photocatalysts offered a praiseworthy activity as compared to commercial TiO2(P25) for the degradation of model pollutant perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA) under 254 nm UV *** was interesting to observe that all synthesized photocatalysts show significant degradation of PFOA and their photocatalytic activity follows the order:bismuth-based catalysts> TiO2(P25)> without ***-based catalysts degraded the PFOA by almost 99.99% within 45 min while this degradation efficiency was 66.05% with TiO2 under the same reaction *** work shows that the bismuth-based photocatalysts are promising in PFOA treatment.
