shell-and-tube vaporizers.are the most commonly used and dominated types of vaporizers in liquefied natural gas （LNG） realm. Due to efficient performance, shell-side flow in this type of vaporizers has received considerable attention and has been investigated extensively. However, the detailed flow structure in the shell needs to be determined for reliable and effective design. Therefore, the objective of this study was to clarify the flow structure in shell by particle image velocimetry （PIV）. Experiments were conducted using two types of model; 15% baffle cut having inlet and outlet positions !n the direction of 90° to the cut and 30% baffle cut having inlet and outlet positions in the direction of 180° to the cut. Each test section is 169 mm in inner diameter and 344.6 mm in length. The flow features were characterized in different baffle cuts with regards to the velocity vector field and velocity distribution. The results show that the flow characteristics of 15% baffle cut type vaporizer are comparable to those of 30% baffle cut type vaporizer.

Alzheimer’s dis.ase(AD)is.a neurodevelopmental impairment that results in a person’s behavior,thinking,and memory *** common symptoms ofADare losingmemory and early *** addition to these,there are several serious impacts ***,the impact ofADcanbemitigatedby early-s.agedetection though it cannot be cured ***-s.age detection is the most challenging task for controlling and mitigating the impact of *** study proposes.a predictive model to detect AD in the initial phase based on machine learning and a deep learning approach to address the *** build a predictive model,open-source data was collected where five s.ages of images of AD were available as Cognitive Normal(CN),Early Mild Cognitive Impairment(EMCI),Mild Cognitive Impairment(MCI),Late Mild Cognitive Impairment(LMCI),and *** s.age of AD is considered as.a class.and then the dataset was divided into three parts binary class,three class.and five *** this res.arch,we applied different preprocessing steps with augmentation techniques to efficiently *** integrates.a random oversampling technique to handle the imbalance problem from target classes,mitigating the model overfitting and *** three machine learning classifiers,such as random forest(RF),K-Nearest neighbor(KNN),and support vector machine(sVM),and two deep learning methods,such as convolutional neuronal network(CNN)and artificial neural network(ANN)were applied on these *** analyzing the performance of the used models.and the datasets,it is found that CNN with binary class outperformed 88.20%*** result of the study indicates that the model is highly potential to detect AD in the initial phase.

Objective: To compare the trans.aginal cervical length (TVCL) to the modified Bishop's score for prediction of successful labor induction in nulliparous women. Methods: A total of 210 nulliparous women who were diagnosed as premature rupture of membranes were recruited in this comparative prospective study, which was carried out in the Obstetrics.and Gynecology Department of Ain s.ams University, Egypt over two years for labor induction. The studied women were examined by trans-vaginal ultrasound for measurement of the cervical length (CL) and vaginally to calculate the modified Bishop's score, followed by induction of labor. Collected data were analyzed to compare the TVCL to the modified Bishop's score for prediction of successful labor induction in nulliparous women. The success of induction process was defined as vaginal birth after the induction of labor. Results: One hundred and forty-three women of studied women had CL six women of studied women had modified Bishop's score >4;128 of them delivered vaginally (P=0.006). The CL s significantly more specific with more positive predictive value as predictor of successful labor induction compared to modified Bishop's score. Induction to delivery time was significantly shorter in women with CL s significantly shorter in women with Bishop's score >4 than women with Bishop's score of 曑4 (P=0.01;95% confidence interval: 1.6-4.5). Conclusions: Both TVCL and the modified Bishop's score are complementary tools in pre-induction cervical assessment before induction of labor, while the TVCL at s significantly more specific with more positive predictive value as predictor of successful induction than the modified Bishop's score.

In this paper, we present a neighborhood following primal-dual interior-point algorithm for solving symmetric cone convex quadratic programming problems, where the objective function is.a convex quadratic function and the feasible set is the intersection of an affine subs.ace and a symmetric cone attached to a Euclidean Jordan algebra. The algorithm is based on the [13] broad class of commutative s.arch directions for cone of semidefinite matrices, extended by [18] to arbitrary symmetric cones. Despite the fact that the neighborhood is wider, which allows the iterates move towards optimality with longer steps, the complexity iteration bound remains.as the same result of schmieta and Alizadeh for symmetric cone optimization problems.

Controlled oxidation experiments were performed on Kovar alloy by changing oxidation atmosphere, temperature, and exposure time to produce films with different oxide type and thickness. The results indicated that single Fe3O4 and single FeO were respectively obtained when Kovar alloy was oxidized in N2-2.31%H2O-0.95%H2 at 500℃ and in N2-2.31%H2O-0.5%H2 at 1000℃, and all kinetic curves followed linear relation; mixed oxides of FeO and Fe3O4 formed when Kovar was oxidized in N2-2.31%H2O at 1000℃and parabolic kinetics were obeyed. Analysis of metallographic cross section of oxides indicated that oxygen diffusion inward through the oxide s.ale is responsible for intergranular oxide, which had formed beneath the oxide s.ales when the oxide products were mixed oxides of FeO and Fe3O4, and which did not occur when the oxide was single FeO or Fe3O4. The oxidation model was.also es.ablished.

Microstructural evolution during directional solidification （Ds） of Ni-base superalloy IN792＋Hf has been investigated with an emphasis on theγ′precipitates.and MC-type *** quantitative image analyses revealed that the increase in the solidification rate up to 100μm/s.at cons.ant thermal gradient of 178 K/cm resulted in a fine and uniform distribution ofγ′*** relationship between the as-castγ′size and cooling rate was.also determined for Ds IN792＋*** the mean time,the MC carbide size was found to be dependent both on the solidification rate and the s/L interface morphology while the area fraction of MC carbide was significantly influenced by the s/L interface morphology.
