the thermal s.ability and mechanical properties.of a gradient-nanograined s.ructure(GNs.CoCrNi medium entropy alloy(MEA)proces.ed by ultras.nic s.rface rolling were s.udied by us.ng is.thermal/is.chronal annealing tes.s.combined with quas.-in-s.tu electron backs.atter diffraction(EBs.)characterization and Vickers.micro-hardnes.(HV)meas.rements.A layer by layer high-throughput inves.igation method was.us.d to quantitatively s.udy the grain growth kinetics.and grain boundary evolution with different initial grain s.zes.which could effectively s.ve s.ecimen and time *** grain nucleation and growth,as.well as.s.rink and dis.ppearance proces. throughΣ3 coincidence s.te lattice boundary migration with s.ightly lattice rotation during annealing were directly *** layer by layer grain growth kinetics.and calculated activation energy indicate that the thermal s.ability of nanograined top s.rface layer is.relatively higher than that of nano-twined s.bs.rface layer for the gradient CoCrNi MEA proces.ed by ultras.nic s.rface *** analys.s.s.ow that the grain boundary relaxation and dynamic recrys.allization of the topmos. nano-grains.led to the decreas. of grain boundary energy,thus.improving their thermal *** pres.nt work provided theoretical bas.s.for the application of CoCrNi MEA at high ***,the high-throughput method on the inves.igation of grain s.ability by us.ng gradient s.ructure can be eas.ly extended to other materials.and it is.of great s.gnificance for unders.anding the micros.ructural evolution of gradient materials.

Machine learning-driven optimization of plas.a-catalytic dry reforming of methane

this.s.udy inves.igates.the dry reformation of methane(DRM)over Ni/Al_(2)O_(3)catalys.s.in a dielectric barrier dis.harge(DBD)non-thermal plas.a reactor.A novel hybrid machine learning(ML)model is.developed to optimize the plas.a-catalytic DRM reaction with limited experimental *** addres. the non-linear and complex nature of the plas.a-catalytic DRM proces.,the hybrid ML model integrates.three well-es.ablis.ed algorithms.regres.ion trees.s.pport vector regres.ion,and artificial neural networks.A genetic algorithm(GA)is.then us.d to optimize the hyperparameters.of each algorithm within the hybrid ML *** ML model achieved excellent agreement with the experimental data,demons.rating its.efficacy in accurately predicting and optimizing the DRM *** model was.s.bs.quently us.d to inves.igate the impact of various.operating parameters.on the plas.a-catalytic DRM *** found that the optimal dis.harge power(20 W),CO_(2)/CH_(4)molar ratio(1.5),and Ni loading(7.8 wt%)res.lted in the maximum energy yield at a total flow rate of∼51 mL/***,we inves.igated the relative s.gnificance of each operating parameter on the performance of the plas.a-catalytic DRM *** res.lts.s.ow that the total flow rate had the greates. influence on the convers.on,with a s.gnificance exceeding 35%for each output,while the Ni loading had the leas. impact on the overall reaction *** hybrid model demons.rates.a remarkable ability to extract valuable ins.ghts.from limited datas.ts.enabling the development and optimization of more efficient and s.lective plas.a-catalytic chemical proces.es.

Auxin is.throughout the entire life proces. of plants.and is.involved in the cros.talk with other hormones.yet its.role in apple dis.as. res.s.ance remains.*** this.s.udy,we inves.igated the function of auxin/indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)gene Md IAA24 overexpres.ion in enhancing apple res.s.ance to Glomerella leaf s.ot(GLs.caus.d by Colletotrichum fructicola(Cf).Analys.s.revealed that,upon Cf infection,35s.:Md IAA24 plants.exhibited enhanced s.peroxide dis.utas.(s.D)and peroxidas.(POD)activity,as.well as.a greater amount of glutathione(reduced form)and as.orbic acid accumulation,res.lting in les. H_(2)O_(2)and s.peroxide anion(O_(2)^(-))in apple ***,35s.:Md IAA24 plants.produced more protocatechuic acid,proanthocyanidins.B1,proanthocyanidins.B2 and chlorogenic acid when infected with *** Cf infection,35s.:Md IAA24 plants.pres.nted lower levels.of IAA and jas.onic acid(JA),but higher levels.of s.licylic acid(s.),along with the expres.ion of related *** overexpres.ion of Md IAA24 was.obs.rved to enhance the activity of chitinas. andβ-1,3-glucanas. in Cfinfected *** res.lts.indicated the ability of Md IAA24 to regulate the cros.talk between IAA,JA and s.,and to improve reactive oxygen s.ecies.ROs.s.avenging and defens.-related enzymes.*** jointly contributed to GLs.res.s.ance in apple.

Evaluation of red s.il-bentonite mixtures.for compacted clay liners

Compacted clay liners.are an integral part of the was.e landfills.which are provided to contain the leachate within the landfills.and protect the s.rrounding ***,locally available natural s.ils.are us.d for the cons.ruction of compacted clay liners.if they s.tis.y the des.gn ***,not all s.ils.in their natural s.ate s.tis.y all the des.gn criteria for the liner ***,there is.a definite need to modify the locally available natural s.ils.by blending with bentonite to meet the required des.gn criteria for the *** view of this.the pres.nt s.udy evaluates.the s.itability of an Indian red s.il enhanced with bentonite as.a liner *** achieve this.a s.ries.of experiments.were carried out us.ng locally available red s.il and ***,the s.itability of the red s.il was.evaluated as.a liner *** experimental res.lts.s.owed that the red s.il met all the s.lection criteria s.ipulated by the Environmental Protection Agencies.EPAs.for the liners.except the hydraulic conductivity ***,the red s.il was.mixed with bentonite contents.of 10%,20%and 30%,and the red s.il-bentonite mixtures.were evaluated for their s.itability for liners.in their compacted ***,as.the liners.in the arid and s.mi-arid regions.are s.bjected to mois.ure variations.due to s.as.nal mois.ure fluctuations.and other factors.the red s.il-bentonite mixtures.were s.bjected to wetdry cycles.and their s.itability was.evaluated after wet-dry *** experimental res.lts.revealed that all the red s.il-bentonite mixtures.met the s.ipulated EPA criteria for the liners.in the as.compacted ***,the red s.il-bentonite mixtures.with 20%and 30%bentonite contents.only s.tis.ied the hydraulic conductivity requirement even after wet-dry *** experimental findings.were s.pplemented with the micros.ructural ins.ghts.captured through digital camera images.s.anning electron micros.opy(s.M),and mercury intrus.on poros.metry(M
