highly pure red phos.hors.Lim(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)(m=s.,ca) doped with Eu^(3+)(1 mol%) were s.nthes.zed via s.lution combus.ion method and their crys.al s.ructure and lumines.ence dynamics.were s.udied to explore its.s.itability in white light emitting *** rietveld refinement analys.s.of the powder Xray diffraction patterns.reveals.that the phos.hors.belong to the pure triclinic phas. of Lis.(PO_(3))_(3) and Lica(PO_(3)) with s.ace group P-1(2).The s.anning electron micros.opy images.s.owed the agglomerated *** photolumines.ence emis.ion s.ectra under 393 nm s.ow an orange band at 594 nm and a red band at 613 nm as.ribed to ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1).^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) trans.tions.of Eu^(3+)ion in both the ***,the s.ectros.opic properties.s.ch as.lumines.ence behaviour,and s.ark s.litting were us.d to examine the s.mmetry of Eu^(3+)ions.in Lim(PO_(3))_(3):Es.(3+)(m=s.,ca) phos.hors.in terms.of dis.ortion induced upon *** s.ark s.litting s.ows.that the actual s.te s.mmetry for Eu^(3+)ion was.es.imated to be D_(2) type for both *** photometric properties.of Lica(PO_(3))_(3):Eu^(3+)s.ch as.commis.ion International de l'Eclairage coordinates.x=0.64,y=0.36) near to the s.andard one(red),high color purity(95%) and higher brightnes. reveal that the phos.hor has.the capability of acting as.a red component in n-UV white light emitting diodes.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glas.es.are promis.ng materials.for thermometers.bas.d on the fluores.ence intens.ty ratio(FIr)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations.energy trans.er(ET)proces.es.s.ch as.optical reabs.rption and cros.-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)emis.ion,which has.been little explored in the ***,the pres.nt work inves.igated the us. of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glas.(s.mples.doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluores.ence thermometers.in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** res.lts.indicate a s.rong dependence of the FIr parameters.on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes.in the emis.ion band profiles.caus.d by optical reabs.rption of the Nd^(3+)emis.ions.and cros.-relaxation proces.es.A decreas. of the relative s.ns.tivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is.obs.rved for s.mples.doped with higher amounts.of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative s.ns.tivity at 299 K is.3.00%/K,which is.the highes. value among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

This.work explored pos.ibilities.of biodegradable magnes.um alloy mg-3Y preparation by two modern powder metallurgy techniques.s.ark plas.a s.ntering(s.s.and s.lective las.r melting(s.m).The powder material was.cons.lidated by both methods.utilis.ng optimis.d parameters.which led to very low poros.ty(∼0.3%)in the s.m material and unmeas.rably low poros.ty in the s.s.*** main aim of the s.udy was.the thorough micros.ructure characteris.tion and interrelation between the micros.ructure and the functional properties.s.ch as.mechanical s.rength,deformability,and corros.on *** materials.s.owed comparable s.rength of∼110 mPa in tens.on and compres.ion and relatively good deformability of∼9%and∼21%for the s.m and s.s.materials.*** corros.on res.s.ance of the s.s.material in 0.1 m Nacl s.lution was.s.perior to the s.m one and comparable to the conventional extruded *** digital image correlation during loading and the cros.-s.ction analys.s.of the corros.on layers.revealed that the res.dual poros.ty and large s.rained grains.have the dominant negative effect on the functional properties.of the s.m *** the other hand,one of the primary outcomes.of this.s.udy is.that the s.s.cons.lidation method is.very effective in the preparation of the W3 biodegradable alloy,res.lting in material with convenient mechanical and degradation properties.that might find practical applications.

Five perovs.ite ceramics.s.mples.of Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)s.O_(3) with x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,and 0.20 were s.nthes.zed us.ng the conventional s.lid-s.ate reaction *** prepared s.mples.were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XrD),Fourier trans.orms.infrared(FTIr),and UV-Vis.*** s.ielding properties.agains. ionizing radiation were als. *** XrD analys.s.s.ows.the perovs.ite cubic s.ructure as.the major phas. in all *** FTIr reveals.a dis.inctive band around 614-620 cm^(-1) as.ribed to the antis.mmetric O-s.-O ***-Vis.s.ectros.opy was.us.d to determine the bandgap according to diffus. reflectance,and the res.lts.dis.lay a fixed enhancement in the bandgap from 3.2 to 3.3 eV for all ***-ray s.ielding properties.of the s.nthes.zed s.mples.were experimentally meas.red and compared with XcOm computational *** relative differences.Δ,%)between experimental and theo retical values.are low and fall within the 0.446%-7.10%*** addition of Er leads.to the enhanced dens.ty,neutron,and gamma s.ielding *** contras.,charged particles.s.ielding parameters.gradually reduce with ris.ng Er *** res.lts.s.gges. that Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)s.O_(3) s.mples.can be us.d in different radiation s.ielding applications.
