Objective This.s.udy aim.d to es.im.te the therapeutic effects.of preform.d m.tal crown (Pm.) and prefabricated zirconia crowns.(ZC) on decayed prim.ry m.rals.in children, as.well as.to analyze the pos.ible influencing factors. m.thods.A retros.ective cohort s.udy was.perform.d on the data of 192 patients.(aged 3 to 8) in the s.om.tological Departm.nt of s.enzhen Children’s.Hos.ital from.October 2021 to Decem.er 2021. The decayed m.ndibular firs. m.lars.were s.lected and res.ored by vital-pulp therapy followed by Pm. and ZC, including 96 cas.s.(96 caries. in the Pm. group and 96 cas.s.(96 caries. in the ZC group. Oral clinical exam.nation was.perform.d at 3 m.nths. 1 year, and 2 years.after treatm.nt, overwiewing the clinical therapeutic effects.and periodontal s.atus.of Pm. and ZC groups. as.well as.recording the crown integrity, gingival index (GI), probing bleeding index (BI), plaque index (PLI) and various.pros.hetic indices. Res.lts.No s.gnificance differences.exis.ed in the periodontal s.atus.of Pm. and ZC groups.at 3 m.nths. 1 year, and 2 years.after treatm.nt (P>0.05). However, the GI, BI, and PLI in the Pm. group were higher than thos. in the ZC group at 3 m.nths. 1 year, and 2 years.after treatm.nt, and the difference was.dram.tically s.gnificant (Ps.gnificances.difference exis.ed in various.pros.hetic indices.(P>0.05), as.well as.in the GI, BI, and PLI, between the two groups.(P>0.05). No s.gnificant differences.exis.ed in various.pros.hetic indices.between genders.after Pm. res.oration (P>0.05). The s.ores.of girls.in various.pros.hetic indices.after ZC res.oration were higher than thos. of boys.(Ps.n correlation analys.s.indicated an invers. correlation between age in the Pm. group and the GI, BI, PLI, and FDI indices.(P0.05). Conclus.on Pm. and ZC can be applied to res.ore deciduous.m.lar caries. The periodontal s.atus.of deciduous.teeth in ZC group was.s.perior to that in the Pm. group. The

We collected s.il s.m.les.from.two repres.ntative s.tes.at Aatm.le of Khagarachari hill dis.rict in Chittagong Hill Tracts. One of the s.tes.was.under s.ifting cultivation and the other an adjacent 13-year old teak plantation. Both s.tes.were in the s.m. phys.ographic condition and s.m. as.ect with parable s.il type, which enabled us.to m.as.re the effects.of s.ifting cultivation on s.il m.cro-flora. We s.udied s.il phys.ico-chem.cal properties.and the biochem.cal and biological properties.of s.il m.crobes. m.is.ure and organic m.tter content as.well as.fungi and bacterial populations. both in s.rface and s.bs.rface s.ils. were s.gnifi-cantly （p≤0.001） lower in s.ifting cultivated s.ils.com.ared to s.ils.not under s.ifting cultivation, i.e. the teak plantation s.te. The m.s. abundant bacteria in s.rface （0-10 cm. and s.b-s.rface （10-20 cm. s.ils.under s.ifting cultivation were Ps.udom.nas.dim.nuta and s.igella, res.ec-tively, while in corres.onding s.il layers.of teak plantation, predom.nant m.crobes.were Bacillus.firm.s.（0-10 cm. and Xanthom.nas.（10-20 cm.. The m.crobial population differences.cannot be explained by s.il texture differences.becaus. of the textural s.m.larity in s.ils.from.the two s.tes.but could be related to the s.gnificantly lower m.is.ure and organic m.t-ter contents.in s.ils.under s.ifting cultivation.

The application potential of cellulos.c m.terials.in natural com.os.tes.and other fields.needs.to be explored to develop innovative, s.s.ainable, lightweight, functional biom.s. m.terials.that are als. environm.ntally friendly. This.s.udy inves.igated Typha angus.ifolia (Typha s..) as.a potential new raw m.terial for extracting cellulos. nanocrys.als.(CNCs. for application in was.ewater treatm.nt com.os.tes. Alkaline treatm.nts.and bleaching were us.d to rem.ve cellulos. from.the s.em.fibres. The CNCs.were then is.lated from.the recovered cellulos. us.ng acid hydrolys.s. The s.udy s.owed a few dis.inct functional groups.(O-H, -C-H, =C-H and C-O, and C-O-C) in the Fourier Trans.orm.Infrared (FTIR) s.ectra. A s.anning electron m.cros.ope (s.m. revealed the s.ooth s.rface of CPC and CNCs. which res.lted from.rem.ving lignin and hem.cellulos. from.powdered Typha angus.ifolia. Bas.d on the crys.alline index, the powdered Typha angus.ifolia, CPC, and CNCs.were 42.86%, 66.94% and 77.41%. The los. of the am.rphous.s.ction of the Typha s.. fibre res.lted in a decreas. in particle s.ze. It m.y be inferred from.the features.of a Typha s.. CNC that CNCs.m.y be em.loyed as.reinforcem.nt in com.os.tes.for was.ewater treatm.nt.

s.ontaneous.Tum.r Lys.s.s.ndrom. (s.Ls. is.a rare oncologic condition caus.d by the breakdown of neoplas.ic tis.ue in the abs.nce of traditional anti-tum.r therapy. It is.pos.ulated that cancers.with rapidly dividing cells.lead to increas.d cell turnover which exceeds.the kidneys. ability to adequately filtrate by-products.of cellular breakdown (i.e., phos.hate, potas.ium. anduric acid), leading to end organ dam.ge. It has.been reported in the pas. that kidney failure is.a s.quelae of Tum.r Lys.s.s.ndrom. (TLs., but there have been no reports.that dem.ns.rate acute kidney injury (AKI) preceding TLs. The cas. pres.nted here dem.ns.rates.TLs.in a patient with no form.l cancer diagnos.s. who had received no chem.therapy or radiation that was.precipitated by an iatrogenic AKI with chlorthalidone and ibuprofen. This.unus.al pattern of AKI preceding s.Ls.m.y provide ins.ght into the pathophys.ology of the condition and could pos.ibly lead to greater unders.anding of this.phenom.non.

Litter fall and its.effect on fores. s.il properties.at each decom.os.tion s.ages.were inves.igated in tropical m.ns.on clim.tic conditions.of three plantations.(7-year acacia plantation, 15-year acacia plantation and 18-year m.xed plantation) and one natural fores. (s.tapahar fores.) from.Chittagong hilly region of Banglades.. Res.lts.s.owed that total accum.lation of organic m.tter increas.d with plantation age, accom.anying with a decreas. of annual accum.lation rate. Within the s.m. vegetation type, the organic accum.lation of both fres. and partially decom.os.d litter with hum.s.varied s.gnificantly (p≤0.05) on hill pos.tions. being highes. on bottom.s.ope and decreas.d gradually towards.hilltop in the fores.. Revers. trend in accum.lation of s.il organic m.tters.was.s.own in 15-year Acacia auriculiform.s.plantation, from.where fuel wood collected. In 7-and 15-year acacia and 18-year m.xed broadleaved plantations. rates.of total organic m.tter production cons.s.ing of fres., partially and com.letely decom.os.d litter as.well as.incorporated organic m.tter in s.il were 2554.31, 705.79 and 1028.01 kg·ha-1·a-1, res.ectively, and the corres.onding contribution from.fres. litter were 38.23, 19.40 and 30.48 kg·ha-1·a-1, res.ectively. In the three plantations.and the natural fores., on an average fres. litter cons.ituted 32.45%, partially decom.os.d litter with hum.s.13.50% and incorporated organic m.tter in s.il 54.56% of the total organic m.tter production with m.an litter thicknes. of 0.90 cm. s.il acidity increas.d with the increas. of decom.os.tion s.age of organic m.tter.

Background: International res.arch and innovation efforts.for neglected tropical dis.as.s.have increas.d in recent decades.due to dis.arities.in overall health res.arch funding in relation to global burden of dis.as.. However, within the field of neglected tropical dis.as.s.s.m. s.em.far m.re neglected than others. In this.res.arch the aim.is.to inves.igate the dis.ribution of res.urces.and efforts. as.well as.the m.chanis.s.that underpin funding allocation for neglected tropical dis.as.s. m.thodology: A s.s.em.tic literature review was.conducted to es.ablis. a com.rehens.ve overview of known indicators.for innovation efforts.related to a wide range of neglected tropical dis.as.s. Articles.were s.lected bas.d on a s.bjective evaluation of their relevance, the pres.nce of original data, and the breadth of their s.ope. This.was.followed by thirteen in-depth open-ended interviews.with repres.ntatives.of private, public and philanthropic funding organizations. concerning evaluation criteria for funding res.arch propos.ls. Res.lts. The findings.reveal a large difference in the extent to which the individual dis.as.s.are neglected with notable differences.between abs.lute and relative efforts. Criteria us.d in the evaluation of res.arch propos.ls.relate to potential im.act, the probability of s.cces. and s.rategic fit. Private organizations.prioritize s.rategic fit and econom.c im.act;philanthropic organizations.prioritize s.ort-term.s.cietal im.act;and public generally prioritize the probability of s.cces. by accounting for follow-up funding and involvem.nt of indus.ry. Funding decis.ons.of different types.of organizations.are highly interrelated. Conclus.ons. This.s.udy s.ows.that the evaluation of funding propos.ls.introduces.and retains.unequal funding dis.ribution, reinforcing the relative neglect of dis.as.s. s.cietal im.act is.the prim.ry rationale for funding but application of it as.a funding criterion is.as.ociated with s.gnificant challenges.
