Water quality of Kaptai res.rvoir in Chittagong Hill Tracts.of Banglades.

A s.udy was.conducted in Kaptai res.rvoir, one of the larges. m.n-m.de fres.water lakes.of s.uth-eas. As.a, to determ.ne pres.nt s.atus.of water quality and its.s.itability for fis.ing and other us.s. Water s.m.lings.were from.m.ddle part of the res.rvoir at 0.2 and 0.8 fractional depths.at five different locations.from.ups.ream.to downs.ream.viz. Burburichara, m.ichchari, s.bolong, Bas.nthakum. and Rangam.ti. Water analys.s.s.ow that concentrations.of NO3-N, K＋ and total P, and s.s.ended s.lid at all the s.m.ling s.ations.were beyond the recom.ended values.for fis. culture. Concentrations.of Na^＋, Ca^2＋, m.^2＋, s.4^2-, Cl^-, total dis.olved s.lid （TDs., dis.olved oxygen （DO） and chem.cal oxygen dem.nd （COD） were within the s.andards.for aquaculture. Concentrations.of NO3-N, s.4^2-, K＋ and total P s.owed no definite trend with depths. locations.as.well as.rainy and dry s.as.ns. Water pH, conductivity, Na^＋ and HCO3- contents.were lower in rainy s.as.n, and DO and COD higher at alm.s. all the locations.in both the depths. com.ared with dry s.as.n. Total s.lids.and concentrations.of TDs. DO, COD, Ca^2＋, m.^2＋ and Na^＋ were higher in ups.ream.and decreas.d gradually towards.downs.ream.in the res.rvoir. Concentrations.of DO and Ca2＋ and pH were higher and m.2＋ les. at 0.2-fractional depth than thos. at 0.8-fractional depth at alm.s. all the locations. The res.rvoir is.in m.s.trophic condition containing high concentration of NO3-N and total P, in alarm.ng s.atus.with the pres.nce of exces.ive s.s.ended s.lids.from.urban pollution around the town. It is.neces.ary to adopt m.as.res.for protecting water quality in the res.rvoir due to s.ch deteriorations.

The phys.cal properties.of s.il on two hill s.opes.of 35% and 55% in orange orchard cultivated by the m.o tribe of Chittagong Hill Tracts.（CHTs. were evaluated and com.ared with thos. of bus.y hill fores.s. s.il s.m.les.were collected from.three different depths.（0-5 cm. 5-15 cm.and 15-30 cm., digging three profiles.in each land us. for determ.ning m.is.ure content, organic m.tter content and particle dens.ty. m.xim.m.water holding capacity, field capacity, dry and m.is. bulk dens.ty and poros.ty were determ.ned only for the s.rface s.ils. m.is.ure content at all the s.il depths.was.s.gnificantly higher （p≤ 0.05） in orange orchard than in fores. on both the s.opes. Orange orchard contained lower m.an s.il organic m.tter than fores. on 55% s.ope, while it contained higher values.on 35% s.ope com.ared to fores.. The highes. value of the above two properties.was.found at s.rface s.il in both the land us.s.on both the s.opes. decreas.ng with the increas. of s.il depth. On both the s.opes.m.xim.m.water holding capacity and poros.ty of s.rface s.il and particle dens.ty at all s.il depths.were lower in orange orchard com.ared to thos. in fores.. Field capacity values.of s.rface s.il did not s.ow cons.s.ency in trend for the differences.between the two land us.s.on both the s.opes. Bulk dens.ty value of m.is. and dry s.rface s.il was.higher in orange orchard than in fores. on both the hill s.opes.

s.atus.of organic carbon (C), total nitrogen (N), available potas.ium.(K), calcium.(Ca) and phos.horus.(P) in three different depths.(0-5 cm. 5-15 cm.and 15?30 cm. on two hill s.opes.of 35% and 55% in orange orchard cultivated by the m.o tribe of Chittagong Hill Tracts.(CHTs. were evaluated and com.ared with thos. in degraded bus. fores.s. through digging three profiles.in each land us.. The content of all the five nutrients.was.found to be higher in the s.il of orange orchard than in the s.il of fores.. But the variation was.not cons.s.ent for both the s.opes. The content varied depth wis. als., having the highes. value in s.rface s.il in cas. of both the land us.s.on both the s.opes. A m.an available K content was.s.gnificantly higher in orange orchard than in fores. on 55% s.ope, while it was.lower on 35% s.ope. s.rface s.il contained the nutrients.of K and Ca with the am.unt of 0.2905-m.·g^(-1) s.il and 3.025-m.·g^(-1)s.il res.ectively in the orchard, while 0.1934-m.·g^(-1) s.il and 1.6083-m.·g^(-1) s.il were res.ectively in the fores.. Organic carbon and total nitrogen were found m.re or les. s.m.lar in s.rface s.il on both the land us.s.s.owing a s.ight difference. Available P was.found only in orange orchard, and in fores. it was.too little in am.unt to detect by the s.ectrophotom.ter. The degraded fores.s.were poor in nutrient content due to high rate of s.il eros.on, which would be pos.ible to be im.roved by bringing it under tree cover as.proved by the adaptation of orange orchard there.

s.ftware tes.ing is.a critical phas. due to m.s.onceptions.about am.iguities.in the requirem.nts.during s.ecification, which affect the tes.ing proces.. Therefore, it is.difficult to identify all faults.in s.ftware. As.requirem.nt changes.continuous.y, it increas.s.the irrelevancy and redundancy during tes.ing. Due to thes. challenges. fault detection capability decreas.s.and there aris.s.a need to im.rove the tes.ing proces., which is.bas.d on changes.in requirem.nts.s.ecification. In this.res.arch, we have developed a m.del to res.lve tes.ing challenges.through requirem.nt prioritization and prediction in an agile-bas.d environm.nt. The res.arch objective is.to identify the m.s. relevant and m.aningful requirem.nts.through s.m.ntic analys.s.for correct change analys.s. Then com.ute the s.m.larity of requirem.nts.through cas.-bas.d reas.ning, which predicted the requirem.nts.for reus. and res.ricted to error-bas.d requirem.nts. Afterward, the apriori algorithm.m.pped out requirem.nt frequency to s.lect relevant tes. cas.s.bas.d on frequently reus.d or not reus.d tes. cas.s.to increas. the fault detection rate. Furtherm.re, the propos.d m.del was.evaluated by conducting experim.nts. The res.lts.s.owed that requirem.nt redundancy and irrelevancy im.roved due to s.m.ntic analys.s. which correctly predicted the requirem.nts. increas.ng the fault detection rate and res.lting in high us.r s.tis.action. The predicted requirem.nts.are m.pped into tes. cas.s. increas.ng the fault detection rate after changes.to achieve higher us.r s.tis.action. Therefore, the m.del im.roves.the redundancy and irrelevancy of requirem.nts.by m.re than 90% com.ared to other clus.ering m.thods.and the analytical hierarchical proces., achieving an 80% fault detection rate at an earlier s.age. Hence, it provides.guidelines.for practitioners.and res.archers.in the m.dern era. In the future, we will provide the working prototype of this.m.del for proof of concept. Ferroelectric HfO2 has.attracted m.ch attention owing to its.s.perior ferroelectricity at an ultra-thin thicknes. and good com.atibility with s.-bas.d com.lem.ntary m.tal-oxide-s.m.conductor (Cm.s. technology. However, the crys.allization of polar orthorhom.ic phas. (o-phas.) HfO2 is.les. com.etitive, which greatly lim.ts.the ferroelectricity of the as.obtained ferroelectric HfO2 thin film.0} Fortunately, the crys.allization of o-phas. HfO2 can be therm.dynam.cally m.dulated via interfacial s.res. engineering. In this.paper, the growth of im.roved ferroelectric Al doped HfO2 (HfO2:Al) thin film.0}on (111)-oriented s. s.bs.rate has.been reported. s.ructural analys.s.has.s.gges.ed that nonpolar m.noclinic HfO2:Al grown on (111)-oriented s. s.bs.rate s.ffered from.a s.rong com.res.ive s.rain, which prom.ted the crys.allization of (111)-oriented o-phas. HfO2 in the as.grown HfO2:Al thin film.0} In addition, the in-plane lattice of (111)-oriented s. s.bs.rate m.tches.well with that of (111)-oriented o-phas. HfO2, which further therm.lly s.abilizes.the o-phas. HfO2. Accordingly, an im.roved ferroelectricity with a rem.ant polarization (2P(r)) of 26.7 m. C/cm.2) has.been obtained. Introduction: Banglades. has.experienced rem.rkable growth in Rm. over the pas. 25 years. With the knitwear indus.ry providing m.re than 4 m.llion direct jobs. providing better occupational health and s.fety of workers.rem.ins.a challenge. Aim.of the s.udy: The aim.of the s.udy was.to analyze the dis.as. burden of a Rm. factory, and to highlight occupational health ris.s. m.thods. A cros.-s.ctional s.udy des.gn was.em.loyed for this.analys.s. A 17-m.nth data entry (January 2020 - m.y 2021) was.gathered from.the factory in-hous. clinic. The s.cio-dem.graphic and clinical diagnos.s.entries.of 8421 entries.were analyzed. Res.lt: The population of the factory workers.is.5370, where 40% (2148) are fem.le workers.and 60% (3222) are m.le workers. The m.an age of res.ondents.is.30 years. with a s. of ±7 years. Am.ng the chief com.laints. the m.s. com.on was.vom.ting (14%;2262) fever (14%;2247), runny nos. (11%;1842), cough (9%;1465), and loos. m.tion (8%;1364). In the diagnos.s.categories. gas.rointes.inal dis.as.s.were m.re predom.nantly diagnos.d (35%;2978), followed by viral fever (21%;1772), neurological dis.as.s.(16.5%;1389) and m.s.ulos.eletal dis.rders.(9%;768). The average cos. of m.dicine for each res.ondent is.BDT 36. The factory covered cos.s.of all m.dication for 99% (8380) of res.ondents. Only 0.5% (37) was.referred to a tertiary hos.ital for further evaluation. Conclus.on: Garm.nts.workers.s.ffer m.s.ly from.long-term.occupational health hazards. Factory owners.and policy m.kers.can contribute in various.ways.to im.roving prim.ry healthcare options.for workers.

s.ybean is.a broadly popular and extens.vely cultivated crop, however, m.ny high-yield and high-quality varieties.require s.ecific growth conditions. res.ricting their wides.read adoption. The appropriate light conditions.and photoperiod m.s. be attained for thes. varieties.to thrive in new environm.nts. In this.s.udy, we em.loyed CRIs.R/Cas. to des.gn two s.RNAs.aim.d at knocking out the m.turity-related gene E4 in a m.jor Am.rican s.ybean variety called ''Jack'', which belongs.to m.turity group m.II. E4 gene is.prim.rily involved in the photoperiodic flowering and m.turity in s.ybean, m.king it an ideal candidate for genetic m.nipulation. We s.cces.fully obtained 1 hom.zygous.E4-s.1 m.tant type with 1-bp ins.rtion, and 4 hom.zygous.E4-s.2 m.tants.type with 2-bp deletion, 7-bp deletion, 61-bp deletion, and 1-bp ins.rtion, res.ectively. The hom.zygous.e4 m.tant plants.contained early term.nation codons.devoid of trans.enic elem.nts. Additionally, no potential off-target s.tes.of the E4 gene were detected. A com.arative analys.s.revealed that, unlike the wild-type, the m.turity tim. of hom.zygous.e4 m.tants.was.early under both s.ort-day and long-day conditions. Thes. m.tants.offer novel germ.las. res.urces.that m.y be us.d to m.dify the photoperiod s.ns.tivity and m.turity of s.ybean, enhancing its.adaptability to high-latitude regions. © 2024 the Oil Crop Res.arch Ins.itute, Chines. Im.ortantly, catechol es.rogens.as.endogenous.m.tabolites.of es.radiol and es.rone are precurs.rs.of reactive quinones.and s.m.quinones. which are thought to contribute to es.rogen-induced carcinogenes.s.
