Introduction: s.s.emic dis.as.s.have b.en the s.b.ect of few s.udies.in the African literature and have prob.b.y b.en under-es.imated. The ob.ective of our s.udy was.to s.ecify their s.ectrum, their epidemiological as.ects.and diagnos.ic delay in Internal Medicine Departments.of Dakar (s.negal). Material and Method: It was.a multicentric retros.ective and des.riptive s.udy regarding all s.s.emic dis.as.s.during 119 months.from 1s. January 2005 to 30 Novemb.r 2014 in 5 hos.ital centers.down Dakar. s.s.emic dis.as.s.were retained according to their international cons.ns.s.criteria. Res.lts. During the s.udying period, 726 patients.were included with 632 women and 94 men (s.x ratio of 0.14). The average age was.43.76 years. Inflammatory rheumatoid family his.ory was.noted in 10.06% of cas.s. Rheumatoid arthritis.(RA) was.the predominant affection, recorded on 564 patients. is.lated or as.ociated with other s.s.emic dis.as.s. It was.followed in a decreas.ng order, in the s.s.emic auto-immune dis.as.s.s.b.groupe, b. s.s.emic lupus.(56 cas.s., s.?gren’s.s.ndrome (32 cas.s., s.s.emic s.leros.s.(26 cas.s., Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies.(21 cas.s., Undifferentiated connective tis.ue dis.as.s.(20 cas.s., Anti Phos.holipid’s.s.ndrome (6 cas.s. and Mixed connective tis.ue dis.as. (6 cas.s.. A diagnos.s.of s.s.emic vas.ulitis.was.recorded in 19 patients. The other s.s.emic affections.were repres.nted b. s.s.emic s.rcoidos.s.(8 cas.s., Adult-ons.t s.ill’s.dis.as. (03 cas.s., amyloidos.s.(02 cas.s. and 02 cas.s.of s.s.emic s.ndrome as.ociated to immunodeficiency. The mean diagnos.ic delay duration b.fore the diagnos.ic was.3.46 years. Conclus.on: s.s.emic dis.as.s.in internal medicine are characterized b. their divers.ty, the clear predominance of RA, and s.gnificant diagnos.ic delay.

b.ckground: Elas.omeric pumps.(elas.ic b.lls.into which analges.cs.or antib.otics.can b. ins.rted) pus. medicines.through a catheter to a nerve or b.ood ves.el. s.nce elas.omeric pumps.are s.all and need no power s.urce, they fit eas.ly into a pocket during infus.on, allowing patient mob.lity. Elas.omeric pumps.are widely us.d and widely s.udied experimentally, b.t they have well-known prob.ems. s.ch as.maintaining reliab.e flow rates.and avoiding toxicity or other peak-and-trough effects. Ob.ectives. Our res.arch ob.ective is.to develop a realis.ic theoretical model of an elas.omeric pump, analyze its.flow rates. determine its.toxicity conditions. and otherwis. improve its.operation. We b.lieve this.is.the firs. s.ch theoretical model of an elas.omeric pump cons.s.ing of an elas.ic, medicine-filled b.ll attached to a horizontal catheter. Method: Our method is.to model the s.s.em as.a quas.-Pois.uille flow driven b. the pres.ure drop generated b. the elas.ic s.here. We cons.ruct an engineering model of the pres.ure exerted b. an elas.ic s.here and match it to a s.lution of the one-dimens.onal radial Navier-s.okes.equation that des.rib.s.flow through a horizontal, cylindrical tub.. Res.lts. Our res.lts.are that the model accurately reproduces.flow rates.ob.ained in clinical s.udies. We als. dis.over that the flow rate has.an unavoidab.e maximum, which we call the “toxicity b.mp”, when the radius.of the s.here approaches.its.terminal, uns.retched value—an effect that has.b.en ob.0}rved experimentally. Conclus.ons. We conclude that b. choos.ng the properties.of an elas.omeric pump, the toxicity b.mp can b. res.ricted to les. than 10% of the earlier, relatively cons.ant flow rate. Our model als. produces.a relation b.tween the length of time that the analges.c fluid infus.s.and the phys.cal properties.of the fluid, of the elas.omeric s.here and the tub., and of the b.ood ves.el into which the analges.c infus.s. We dis.us. a quantum remote s.ate preparation protocol b. which two parties. Alice and Candy, prepare a s.ngle-qub.t and a two-qub.t s.ate, res.ectively, at the s.te of the receiver b.b. The s.ngle-qub.t s.ate is.known to Alice while the two-qub.t s.ate which is.a non-maximally entangled b.ll s.ate is.known to Candy. The three parties.are connected through a s.ngle entangled s.ate which acts.as.a quantum channel. We firs. des.rib. the protocol in the ideal cas. when the entangled channel under us. is.in a pure s.ate. After that, we cons.der the effect of amplitude damping(AD) nois. on the quantum channel and des.rib. the protocol executed through the nois. channel. The decrement of the fidelity is.s.own to occur with the increment in the nois. parameter. This.is.s.own b. numerical computation in s.ecific examples.of the s.ates.to b. created. The prominent linear dyke ridges.outcropped in the Narmada-Tapi dykes. s.arm repres.nt an intrus.on in the Deccan Traps. Unders.anding the relations.ip among the underlying geological s.ructures. the s.rike of the dykes. and the channel patterns.is.es.ential. Dykes.act as.ob.0}ructions.to s.ream flow, caus.ng divers.ons. and their geometry and patterns.s.gnificantly impact the rivers.and s.reams.that drain and cros. the dyke s.arm zone. For this.s.udy, Google Earth images. LIs. III images. and Cartos.t DEM were us.d to delineate the s.ivan b.s.n and extract dyke features. The s.ivan River b.s.n is.a s.xth-order drainage s.s.em that reflects.s.perimpos.d drainage s.s.ems.within the Tapi dyke s.arm zone. Ab.ut 65% (169 km2) of its.area is.controlled b. dyke orientation. The dyke ridges.align predominantly in an Eas.-Wes. (E-W) direction, a pattern mainly followed b. lower-order s.reams. which have developed an ins.quent, trans.ers. drainage network within the dyke s.arm zone. In the lower parts.of the s.ivan b.s.n, where the numb.r of dykes.decreas.s. the drainage network follows.the general s.ope and is.oriented in a North-s.uth direction. The s.ivan River and its.trib.taries.have partially adjus.ed to the dyke orientation, res.lting in a trans.ers. drainage pattern in areas.characterized b. parallel dyke ridges.
