s.il organis.s.in terres.rial s.s.ems.are unevenly.dis.ributed in time and s.ace, and often aggregated. s.atiotemporal patchines. in the s.il environment is.thought to be crucial for the maintenance of s.il biodivers.ty. providing divers. microhabitats.tightly.interweaving with res.urce partitioning. Determination of a ＂s.ale unit＂ to help unders.and ecological proces.es.has.become one of the important and mos. debatable problems.in recent y.ars. A fieldwork was.carried out in the northern Negev Des.rt highland, Is.ael to determine the influence of fine-s.ale lands.ape patch mois.ure heterogeneity.on biogeochemical variables.and microbial activity.linkage in a des.rt ecos.s.em. The res.lts.s.owed that the s.atio-temporal patchines. of s.il mois.ure to which we attribute influential properties. was.found to become more heterogenic with the decreas. in s.il mois.ure availability.（from 8.2 to 0.4 g kg^-1） toward the hot, dry.s.as.ns. with coefficient of variation （CV） change amounting to 66.9%. s.atio-temporal dis.ribution of organic matter （OM） and total s.luble nitrogen （Ts.） was.found to be relatively.uniformly.dis.ributed throughout the wet s.as.ns.（winter and s.ring）, with increas. of relatively.high heterogeneity.toward the dry.s.as.ns.（from 0.25% to 2.17% for OM, and from 0 to 10.2 mg kg^-1 for Ts.） with CV of 47.4% and 99.7% for OM and Ts., res.ectively. Different s.atio-temporal lands.ape patterns.were obtained for Ca （CV = 44.6%）, K （CV = 34.4%）, and Na （CV = 92%） ions.throughout the s.udy.period. CO2 evolution （CV = 48.6%） was.found to be of lower heterogeneity.（vary.ng between 2 and 39 g CO2-C g^-1 dry.s.il h^-1） in the mois. s.as.ns. e.g., winter and s.ring, with lower values.of res.iration coupled with high heterogeneity.of Na^＋ and low levels.of Ts. and organic matter content, and with more homogeneity.in the dry.s.as.ns.（vary.ng between 1 and 50 g CO2-C g^-1 dry.s.il h^-1）. Our res.lts.elucidate the heterogeneity.and complexity.of des.rt s.s.em habitats

The electrochemical interaction between galena and monoclinic py.rhotite was.inves.igated to examine its.impact on the phy.0}cal and chemical properties.of the mineral *** inves.igation employ.d techniques.s.ch as.electrochemis.ry.metal ion s.ripping,X-ray.photoelectron s.ectros.opy.and quantum *** electrochemical tes. res.lts.demons.rate that the galena s.rface in the electro-couple s.s.em exhibits.a lower electros.atic potential and higher electrochemical activity.compared to the monoclinic py.rhotite s.rface,rendering it more s.s.eptible to oxidation *** py.rhotite s.gnificantly.amplifies.the corros.on rate of the galena *** charge population calculations.indicate that electrons.are cons.s.ently.trans.erred from galena to monoclinic py.rhotite,with the number of electron trans.ers.on the mineral s.rface increas.ng as.the interaction dis.ance *** analy.0}s.of s.ate dens.ty.revealed a s.ift in the s.rface s.ate dens.ty.of galena towards.lower energy.levels.res.lting in decreas.d reactivity.and increas.d difficulty.for the reagent to ads.rb onto the mineral ***,monoclinic py.rhotite exhibited an oppos.te *** X-ray.photoelectron s.ectros.opy.XPs.tes. res.lts.indicate that galvanic interaction leads.to the formation of hy.rophilic s.bs.ances.Pbs.(x)O_(y. and Pb(OH)_(2),on the s.rface of ***,the s.rface of monoclinic py.rhotite not only.ads.rbs.Pb^(2+)but als. undergoes.s.(0) formation,thereby.augmenting its.hy.rophobic nature.

Diamond growth on Fe-Cr-Al-s. s.eel and s. s.bs.rates.was.comparatively.inves.igated in microwave plas.a enhanced chemical vapor depos.tion （MPCVD） reactor with different depos.tion parameters. Adherent nanocry.0}alline diamond films.were directly.depos.ted on this.s.eel s.bs.rate under a ty.ical depos.tion condition, whereas.microcry.0}alline diamond films.were produced on s. wafer. With increas.ng CH4 concentration, reaction pres.ure, or the total gas.flow rate, the quality.of nanocry.0}alline diamond films.formed on Fe-Cr-Al-s. s.bs.rates.is.gradually.deteriorated in terms.of dens.ty.and adhes.on. ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK MODEL OF CONs.ITUTIVE RELATIONs.IP FOR 2A70 ALUMINUM ALLOy

The hat deformation behavior of 2A70 aluminum alloy.was.inves.igated by.means.of is.thermal compres.ion tes.s.performed on a Gleeble-1500 thermal s.mulator over a wide range of temperatures.360-480℃ with s.rain rates.of 0.01-1s.-1 and the larges. deformation of 60%, and the true s.res. of the material was.obtained under the above-mentioned conditions. The experimental res.lts.s.ows.that 2A70 aluminum alloy.is.a kind of aluminum alloy.with the property.of dy.amic recovery. its.flow s.res. declines.with the increas. of temperature, while its.flow s.res. increas.s.with the increas. of s.rain rates. On the bas.s.of experiments. the cons.itutive relations.ip of the 2A70 aluminum alloy.was.cons.ructed us.ng a BP artificial neural network. Comparis.n of the predicted values.with the experimental data s.ows.that the relative error of the trained model is.les. than ±3% for the s.mpled data while it is.les. than ±6% for the nons.mpled data. It is.evident that the model cons.ructed by.BP ANN can accurately.predict the flow s.res. of the 2A70 alloy.
