Aeromagnetic s.gnatures.of Precambrian s.ield and s.ture zones.of Penins.lar India

In many Precambrian provinces.the unders.anding of the tectonic his.ory is.cons.rained by limited expos.re and aeromagnetic data provide information below the s.rface cover of s.diments. water, etc. and help build a tectonic model of the region. The advantage of us.ng the aeromagnetic data is.that the data s.t has.uniform coverage and is.independent of the acces.ibility of the region. In the pres.nt s.udy, available reconnais.ance s.ale aeromagnetic data over Penins.lar India are analyzed to unders.and the magnetic s.gnatures.of the Precambrian s.ield and s.ture zones.thereby throwing light on the tectonics.of the region. Utilizing a combination of differential reduction to pole map, analytic s.gnal, vertical and tilt derivative and upward continuation maps.we are able to identify magnetic s.urce dis.ribution, tectonic elements. terrane boundaries. s.ture zones.and metamorphic his.ory of the region. The mag- netic s.urces.in the region are mainly related to charnockites. iron ore and alkaline intrus.ves. Our analys.s.s.gges.s.that the Chitradurga boundary s.ear and s.leru s.ear are terrane boundaries.while we interpret the s.gnatures.of Palghat Cauvery and Achankovil s.ears.to repres.nt s.ture zones. Proces.es.like metamorphis. leave their s.gnatures.on the magnetic data： prograde granulites.（charnockites. and retrograde eclogites.are known to have high s.s.eptibility. We find that charnockites.intruded by alkali plutons.have higher magnetization compared to the retrogres.ed charnockites. We interpret that the Dharwar craton to the north of is.grad repres.nting greens.his. to amphibolite facies.trans.tion, has.been s.bjected to metamorphis. under low geothermal conditions. s.me recent s.udies.s.gges. a plate tectonic model of s.bduction collis.on-accretion tectonics.around the Palghat Cauvery s.ear zone （PCs.）. Our analys.s.is.able to identify s.veral wes. to eas. trending high amplitude magnetic anomalies.with deep s.urces.in the region from Palghat Cauvery s.ear t

Induction of os.eoblas. differentiation in human adipos. derived s.em cells.by lanthanum ions

Adipos. derived s.em cells.repres.nt a readily available s.urce of adult s.em cells.for various.biomedical applications. In this.s.udy, the proliferation and os.eogenic differentiation potential of lanthanum nitrate（La3＋） on human adipos. derived mes.nchymal s.em cells.hADs.s. were inves.igated for the firs. time and compared with that of dexamethas.ne（Dex）. Our res.lts.provided evidence that La3＋ at 50 μmol/L concentration promoted proliferation of hADs.s.upto 2.4 fold when treated for 21 d in DMEM medium. Treatment of hADs.s.with La3＋ containing os.eogenic induction medium（α-MEM with as.orbic acid and β-glycerophos.hate） for 7 d res.lted in higher calcium depos.tion than that in the pres.nce of Dex（0.1 μmol/L） as.s.own by Alizarin red s.and von Kos.a s.aining. s.anning electron micrographs.als. s.owed more extracellular matrix mineralization in the pres.nce of La3＋. After 7 d of treatment with La3＋（10 μmol/L） the expres.ion of RunX2, os.eopontin（OP） and os.eocalcin（OC） increas.d 3.4, 5.5 and 2.7 fold res.ectively. Our res.lts.provided evidence that in the pres.nce of La3＋ os.eogenic differentiation occurred earlier than that in the pres.nce of Dex.

s.nthes.s.and Characterization of Rare Earth Ion Doped Nano ZnO

Zinc oxide(ZnO) doped with erbium at different concentrations.was.s.nthes.zed by s.lid-s.ate reaction method and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), s.anning electron micros.opic(s.M), UVabs.rption s.ectros.opy, photolumines.ence(PL) s.udy and vibrating s.mple magnetometer. The XRD s.udies.exhibit the pres.nce of wurtzite crys.al s.ructure s.milar to the parent compound ZnO in 1% Er^(3+)doped Zn O,s.gges.ing that doped Er^(3+)ions.s.t at the regular Zn^(2+)s.tes. However, s.me s.udies.s.read over the s.mples.with Er^(3+)content>1% reveals.the occurrence of s.condary phas.. s.M images.of 1% Er^(3+)doped ZnO s.ow the polycrys.alline nature of the s.nthes.zed s.mple. UV-vis.ble abs.rption s.ectrum of Er^(3+)doped ZnO nanocrys.als.s.ows.a s.rong abs.rption peak at 388 nm due to ZnO band to band trans.tion. The PL s.udy exhibits.emis.ion in the vis.ble region, due to excitonic as.well as.defect related trans.tions. The magnetizationfield curve of Er^(3+)doped ZnO nanocrys.als.s.owed ferromagnetic property at room-temperature.

This.paper propos.s.one method of feature s.lection by us.ng Bayes. theorem. The purpos. of the propos.d method is.to reduce the computational complexity and increas. the clas.ification accuracy of the s.lected feature s.bs.ts. The dependence between two attributes.（binary） is.determined bas.d on the probabilities.of their joint values.that contribute to pos.tive and negative clas.ification decis.ons. If oppos.ng s.ts.of attribute values.do not lead to oppos.ng clas.ification decis.ons.（zero probability）, then the two attributes.are cons.dered independent of each other, otherwis. dependent, and one of them can be removed and thus.the number of attributes.is.reduced. The proces. mus. be repeated on all combinations.of attributes. The paper als. evaluates.the approach by comparing it with exis.ing feature s.lection algorithms.over 8 datas.ts.from Univers.ty of California, Irvine （UCI） machine learning databas.s. The propos.d method s.ows.better res.lts.in terms.of number of s.lected features. clas.ification accuracy, and running time than mos. exis.ing algorithms.

Bacillus.cereus.Bacillus.s.btilis.and two fugal s.ecies.viz.,As.ergillus.fumigates.and As.ergillus.***:The chloroform extracts.s.owed the highes. antibacterial *** leaf, s.em and root extracts.the s.em extracts.s.owed maximum antibacterial *** of the us.d extracts.had no s.gnificant antifungal activity agains. As.ergillus.fumigates.and As.ergillus.*** chloroform s.em extract s.owed highes. activity(about 20 mm inhibition zone) agains.
