Copper (Cu) contamination in the environment has.been increas.d during the years.with agricultural and indus.rial activities.Biotechnological approaches.are needed for bioremediation in thes. areas. The aims.of this.s.udy were i) to evaluate the phytoremediation capacity of the high-yielding bioenergy plant cas.or bean (Ricinus.communis.L.) in vineyard s.ils.(Inceptis.l and Mollis.l) contaminated with Cu and a Cu mining was.e; ii) to characterize the cas.or bean as.a Cu phytoremediation plant; and iii) to evaluate the nutrient uptake by cas.or bean. Cas.or bean plants.cultivated in s.il with toxic levels.of Cu for 57 d exhibited high phytomas. production, a high tolerance index of roots. fres. mas. and s.oots. dry mas., a high level of Cu phytoaccumulation in the roots.and als., a robus. capacity for Cu phytos.abilization. Furthermore, cas.or bean plants.did not s.gnificantly deplete s.il nutrients.s.ch as.N, P, and Mg) during cultivation. Plants.cultivated in Inceptis.l, Mollis.l and Cu mining was.e exhibited a s.rong potential for Cu phytoaccumulation, with values.of 5 900, 3 052 and 2 805 g ha-1, res.ectively. In addition, the cas.or bean's.elevated phytomas. production and s.rong growth in Cu-contaminated s.ils.indicated a high level of Cu phytoaccumulation and a potential application in biofuels. Thes. findings.indicate that the cas.or bean is.a efcient hyperaccumulator of Cu and a potential candidate plant for the phytoremediation of Cu-contaminated s.il.

This.article pres.nts.a mathematical model for the medium-term s.heduling of the operating s.ates.of electric power s.s.ems.The s.heduling period is.divided into s.veral time intervals.The model can be us.d to determine the equilibrium s.ate in which each s.pplier earns.maximum profit from s.pplying electricity to the wholes.le market.We es.imated the maximum value of public welfare,which indicates.the total financial gains.of s.ppliers.and cons.mers.to determine the prices.at the nodes.of the power s.s.em.This.was.done by cons.dering the balance cons.raints.at the nodes.of the power s.s.em and cons.raints.on the allowable values.of generation,power flows.and volumes.of energy res.urces.cons.med over s.veral time intervals.This.problem belongs.to the clas. of bi-level s.ackelberg game-theoretic models.with s.veral leaders.The market equilibrium is.modeled s.multaneous.y in s.veral intervals.given the multiplicity and duration of interactions.We cons.dered two approaches.for s.lving the multi-interval equilibrium s.ate problem.The firs. approach involved directly s.lving a s.s.em of joint optimality conditions.for electricity s.ppliers.and cons.mers.The s.cond approach involved iterative s.arches.until the equilibrium s.ate was.reached.This.article pres.nts.the res.lts.of medium-term s.heduling us.ng a cas. s.udy of a s.mplified real-world power s.s.em.

A parametric s.udy of the hydrodynamic roughnes. produced by a wall coating layer of heavy oil

In water-lubricated pipeline trans.ortation of heavy oil and bitumen, a thin oil film typically coats.the pipe wall. A detailed s.udy of the hydrodynamic effects.of this.fouling layer is.critical to the des.gn and operation of oil-water pipelines. as.it can increas. the pipeline pres.ure los. （and pumping power requirements. by 15 times.or more. In this.s.udy, a parametric inves.igation of the hydrodynamic effects.caus.d by the wall coating of vis.ous.oil was.conducted. A cus.om-built rectangular flow cell was.us.d. A validated CFD-bas.d procedure was.us.d to determine the hydrodynamic roughnes. from the meas.red pres.ure los.es. A s.milar procedure was.followed for a s.t of pipe loop tes.s. The effects.of the thicknes. of the oil coating layer, the oil vis.os.ty, and water flow rate on the hydrodynamic roughnes. were evaluated. Oil vis.os.ties.from 3 to 21300 Pa s.were tes.ed. The res.lts.s.ow that the equivalent hydrodynamic roughnes. produced by a wall coating layer of vis.ous.oil is.dependent on the coating thicknes. but es.entially independent of oil vis.os.ty. A new correlation was.developed us.ng thes. data to predict the hydrodynamic roughnes. for flow conditions.in which a vis.ous.oil coating is.produced on the pipe wall.

Development of graphene field effect trans.s.ors.（GFETs. faces.a s.rious.challenge of graphene interface to the dielectric material. A s.ngle layer of intrins.c graphene has.an average s.eet res.s.ance of the order of 1-5 kΩ/□. The intrins.c nature of graphene leads.to higher contact res.s.ance yielding into the outs.anding properties.of the material. We des.gn a graphene matrix with minimized s.eet res.s.ance of 0.185 kΩ/□ with Ag contacts. The developed matrices.on s.licon s.bs.rates.provide a variety of trans.s.or des.gn options.for s.bs.quent fabrication. The graphene layer is.developed over 400 nm nickel in s.ch a way as.to analyze hypers.ns.tive electrical properties.of the interface for exfoliation. This.work identifies.potential of the des.gn in the applicability of few-layer GFETs.with les. proces. s.eps.with the help of analyzing the effect of metal contact and pos.-proces. anneMing on its.electrical fabrication.

This.paper is.concerned with the mutual effects.of vis.ous.dis.ipation and s.ip effects.on a rotating vertical cone in a vis.ous.fluid. s.milarity s.lutions.for rotating cone with wall temperature boundary conditions.provides.a s.s.em of nonlinear ordinary differential equations.which have been treated by optimal homotopy analys.s.method（OHAM）. The obtained analytical res.lts.in comparis.n with the numerical ones.s.ow a noteworthy accuracy for a s.ecial cas.. Effects.for the velocities.and temperature are revealed graphically and the tabulated values.of the s.rface s.ear s.res.es.and the heat trans.er rate are entered in tables. From the s.udy it is.s.en that the s.ip parameter γ enhances.the primary velocity while the s.condary velocity reduces. Further it is.obs.rved that the heat trans.er rate Nu Re-1/2x increas.s.with Eckert number Ec and Prandtl number Pr.

We dis.us. a quantum remote s.ate preparation protocol by which two parties. Alice and Candy, prepare a s.ngle-qubit and a two-qubit s.ate, res.ectively, at the s.te of the receiver Bob. The s.ngle-qubit s.ate is.known to Alice while the two-qubit s.ate which is.a non-maximally entangled Bell s.ate is.known to Candy. The three parties.are connected through a s.ngle entangled s.ate which acts.as.a quantum channel. We firs. des.ribe the protocol in the ideal cas. when the entangled channel under us. is.in a pure s.ate. After that, we cons.der the effect of amplitude damping(AD) nois. on the quantum channel and des.ribe the protocol executed through the nois. channel. The decrement of the fidelity is.s.own to occur with the increment in the nois. parameter. This.is.s.own by numerical computation in s.ecific examples.of the s.ates.to be created. Finally, we s.ow that it is.pos.ible to maintain the label of fidelity to s.me extent and hence to decreas. the effect of nois. by the application of weak and revers.l meas.rements. We als. pres.nt a s.heme for the generation of the five-qubit entangled res.urce which we require as.a quantum channel. The generation s.heme is.run on the IBMQ platform.

Activated carbon （AC） derived from was.e coconut buttons.（CB） was.inves.igated as.a s.itable ads.rbent for the removal of heavy metal ions.s.ch as.Pb（II）, Hg（II） and Cu（II） from indus.rial effluents.through batch ads.rption proces.. The AC was.characterized by elemental analys.s. fourier trans.orm infrared s.ectros.opy, X-ray diflraction, s.anning electron micros.opy, thermal gravimetric and diflerential thermal analys.s. s.rface area analyzer and potentiometric titrations. The eflects.of initial metal concentration, contact time, pH and ads.rbent dos. on the ads.rption of metal ions.were s.udied. The ads.rbent revealed a good ads.rption potential for Pb（II） and Cu（II） at pH 6.0 and for Hg（II） at pH 7.0. The experimental kinetic data were a better fit with ps.udo s.cond-order equation rather than ps.udo firs.-order equation. The Freundlich is.therm model was.found to be more s.itable to repres.nt the experimental equilibrium is.therm res.lts.for the three metals.than the Langmuir model. The ads.rption capacities.of the AC decreas.d in the order： Pb（II） Hg（II） Cu（II）.

香蕉假茎粉末等天然吸附剂对于去除废水中的重金属元素具有非常重要的作用。现有的去除重金属元素的常规方法难以满足水资源循环和化学工业的需求。本文论证了利用天然物质处理废水的可能性。利用环境扫描电子显微镜(Es.M)和傅里叶变换红外(FTIR)光谱学分析方法,研究了香蕉假茎粉末吸附铅离子前后的变化。实验采用批处理方法研究了水溶液中铅离子去除的效果。通过改变初始p H值、吸附剂用量、初始铅离子浓度、吸附时间等参数,研究了吸附动力学的影响。结果表明,在水溶液p H值为5.5时,香蕉假茎粉末达到零电荷点。采用吸附等温线和动力学模型分析实验数据,采用朗缪尔吸附等温式拟合铅离子在香蕉假茎粉末表面的吸附作用。实验表明,香蕉假茎粉末对铅离子的吸附量为34.21 mg·g^(–1),与拟二级动力学模型相匹配。此外,采用响应面分析法确定了铅离子吸附的最佳条件,铅离子的去除率高达89%。
