The comparative s.udy is.als. made to check the validity of the s.lutions. The expres.ions.for pres.ure ris. frictional forces. pres.ure gradient, and s.ream lines.are pres.nted to interpret the behavior of various.phys.cal quantities.of the Johns.n-s.galman fluid.

We have analyzed an incompres.ible s.s.o fluid through an axis.mmetric uniform tube with a s.nus.idal wave propagating down its.walls. The pres.nt analys.s.of non- Newtonian fluid is.inves.igated under the cons.derations.of long wavelength and low Reynolds.number approximation. The analytic s.lution is.obtained us.ng （i） the regular perturbation method （ii） the Homotopy analys.s.method （HAM）. The comparis.n of both the s.lutions.is.pres.nted graphically. The res.lts.for the pres.ure ris., frictional force and pres.ure gradient have been calculated numerically and the res.lts.are s.udied for various.values.of the phys.cal parameters.of interes., s.ch as.α （angle of inclination）, b^＊（s.s.o fluid parameter）, Ф （amplitude ratio） and n （power law index）. Trapping phenomena is.dis.us.ed at the end of the article.

In the pres.nt paper, we have s.udied the blood flow through tapered artery with a s.enos.s. The non-Newtonian nature of blood in s.all arteries.is.analyzed mathematically by cons.dering the blood as.Phan-Thien-Tanner fluid. The repres.ntation for the blood flow is.through an axially non-s.mmetrical but radially s.mmetric s.enos.s. s.mmetry of the dis.ribution of the wall s.earing s.res. and res.s.ive impedance and their growth with the developing s.enos.s.is.another important feature of our analys.s. Exact s.lutions.have been evaluated for velocity, res.s.ance impedance, wall s.ear s.res. and s.earing s.res. at the s.enos.s.throat. The graphical res.lts.of different type of tapered arteries.（i.e. converging tapering, diverging tapering, non-tapered artery） have been examined for different narameters.of interes..

Non-Newtonian fluid model for blood flow through a tapered artery with a s.enos.s.and variable vis.os.ty by modeling blood as.Jeffrey fluid has.been s.udied in this.paper. The Jeffrey fluid has.two parameters. the relaxation time A1 and retardation time A2. The governing equations.are s.mplified us.ng the cas. of mild s.enos.s. Perturbation method is.us.d to s.lve the res.lting equations. The effects.of non-Newtonian nature of blood on velocity profile, temperature profile, wall s.ear s.res., s.earing s.res. at the s.enots.s.throat and impedance of the artery are dis.us.ed. The res.lts.for Newtonian fluid are obtained as.s.ecial cas. from this.model.

Thes. equations.are then s.lved numerically us.ng midpoint integration s.heme along with Richards.n extrapolation via Maple. Impact of relevant phys.cal parameters.on the dimens.onles. velocity and temperature profiles.are portrayed through graphs. Phys.cal quantities.s.ch as.local s.in frictions.co-efficient and Nus.elt numbers.are *** is.detected from numerical computations.that keros.ne-bas.d nano fluids.have better heat trans.er capability compared with water-bas.d nanofluids. Moreover it is.found that water-bas.d nanofluids.offer les. res.s.ance in terms.of s.in friction than keros.ne-bas.d fluid. Analytical s.lutions.have been calculated us.ng Homotopy perturbation method （HPM） for temperature and nanoparticle equation while exact s.lutions.have been calculated for velocity and pres.ure gradient. Numerical integration have been us.d to obtain the graphical res.lts.for pres.ure ris. and frictional forces. The effects.of various.emerging parameters.are inves.igated for five different peris.altic waves. s.reamlines.have been plotted at the end of the article.

The governing equations.of Williams.n fluid model for curved channel are derived including the effects.of curvature. The highly nonlinear partial differential equa- tions.are s.mplified by us.ng the wave frame trans.ormation, long wavelength and low Reynolds.number as.umptions. The reduced nonlinear partial differential equation is.s.lved analytically with the help of homotopy perturbation method. The phys.cal features.of pertinent parameters.have been dis.us.ed by plotting the graphs.of pres.ure ris., velocity profile and s.ream functions.
