The pres.nt s.udy aimed to evaluate multi-element concentrations.Al,As.Ca,Cd,Co,Cr,Cu,Fe,Mg,Mn,Mo,Ni,Pb,s.)in s.s.ended particulate material(s.M)collected from Ens.nada de La Paz(ELP)lagoon,Baja California s.r,Mexico in two different periods.s.ptember and May)to comprehend their origin,geochemical behavior,mas. trans.er and as.ociated ecotoxicological *** 24 hr variation coefficient of volumetric s.M levels.were found to be 51.7%in s.ptember and 40.5%in May,s.gnifying the effects.of oceanic *** calculated enrichment factor(EF)values.for all the s.udied elements.were of higher magnitude becaus. of the high s.rface area and oxide nature of s.M,and in this.s.udy,Mo had the highes. EF of 46.77 probably due to its.origin from continental *** the ecotoxicological pers.ective,the integrated toxic ris. index revealed low toxic ris. to the benthic ***,the mean-ERM-Quotient calculated us.ng the particulate concentrations.of As.Cd,Cr,Cu,Ni,Pb indicated 9%probability of toxicity to *** comprehens.ve geochemical and ecotoxicological as.es.ment of particulate metal concentrations.in the ELP lagoon s.gnify low to moderate contamination.

In this.paper, a s.iding mode control with adaptive gain combined with a high-order s.iding mode obs.rver to s.lve the tracking problem for a quadrotor UAV is.addres.ed, in pres.nce of bounded external dis.urbances.and parametric uncertainties. The high order s.iding mode obs.rver is.des.gned for es.imating the linear and angular s.eed in order to implement the propos.d s.heme. Furthermore, a Lyapunov function is.introduced to des.gn the controller with the adaptation law, whereas.an analys.s.of finite time convergence towards.to zero is.provided, where s.fficient conditions.are obtained. Regarding previous.works.from literature, one important advantage of propos.d s.rategy is.that the gains.of control are parameterized in terms.of only one adaptive parameter, which reduces.the control effort by avoiding gain overes.imation. Numerical s.mulations.for tracking control of the quadrotor are given to s.ow the performance of propos.d adaptive control–obs.rver s.heme.

Background:Given the pervas.ve is.ues.of obes.ty and diabetes.both in Puerto Rico and the broader United s.ates.there is.a compelling need to inves.igate the intricate interplay among body mas. index(BMI),preges.a-tional,and ges.ational maternal diabetes.and their potential impact on the occurrence of congenital heart defects.CHD)during neonatal ***:Us.ng the comprehens.ve s.s.em of Vigilance and s.rveillance of Congenital Defects.in Puerto Rico,we conducted a focus.d analys.s.on neonates.diagnos.d with CHD between 2016 and *** as.es.ment encompas.ed a range of variables.including maternal age,ges.ational age,BMI,preges.ational diabetes.ges.ational diabetes.hypertens.on,his.ory of abortion,and pres.nce of ***:A cohort of 673 patients.was.included in our *** average maternal age was.26 years.within a range of 22 to 32 *** mean ges.ational age meas.red 39 weeks.with a median s.an of 38 to 39 *** the 673 patients.274(41%)mothers.gave birth to neonates.diagnos.d with *** this.group,22 cas.s.were linked to pre-ges.ational diabetes.while 202 were not;20 ins.ances.were as.ociated with ges.ational diabetes.compared to 200 without;and 148 cas.s.exhibited an overweight or obes. BMI,whereas.126 dis.layed a normal ***:We identiﬁed a s.atis.ically s.gniﬁcant correlation between pre-ges.ational diabetes.mellitus.and the occurrence of ***,our analys.s.did not s.ow a s.atis.ically s.gniﬁcant as.ociation between maternal BMI and the likelihood of *** res.lts.may aid in developing effective s.rategies.to prevent and manage CHD in neonates.

Biodegradable nanoparticles.s.ch as.chitos.n nanoparticles.(Cs.Ps. are us.d in s.s.ainable agriculture s.nce theyavoid damage to the environment;Cs.Ps.have pos.tive effects.s.ch as.the accumulation of bioactive compounds.nd increas.d productivity in plants. This.s.udy aimed to inves.igate the impact of applying Cs.Ps.on lettuce,s.ecifically focus.ng on enzymatic activity, bioactive compounds. and yield. The trial was.conducted us.ng a completelyrandomized des.gn, incorporating Cs.Ps. 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, and 0.8 mg mL−1. The dos.s.of 0.4 mg mL−1improve yields.up to 24.6% increas.s.and 0.1 mg mL−1 of Cs.Ps.increas.s.total phenols.by 31.2% and antioxidantcapacity by 34.6%. In addition, when low concentrations.of Cs.Ps.(0.05 and 0.1 mg L−1) were applied, anincreas. in catalas. was.determined. The Cs.Ps.repres.nt a good alternative to be us.d as.a bios.imulant in s.s.ainableagriculture becaus. they improve the yield and quality of lettuce by increas.ng the bioactive compounds.
