To feed an increas.ng population, large amounts.of chemical nitrogen fertilizer have been us.d to produce much of our food, feed and fiber thereby increas.ng nitrogen levels.in s.ils. natural waters. crop res.dues. lives.ock was.es.and municipal and agricultural was.es. with national and international concern about its.potential advers. effects.on environmental quality and public health. To unders.and thes. phenomena and problems. firs. the nitrogen cycle and the environment are des.ribed. Then recent trends.for nitrogen cycling through the food and feed s.s.em, N2O emis.ions.from fertilized upland and paddy s.ils. and NO-3 pollution in ground water in Japan are reported. Finally, mitigation s.rategies.in Japan for reducing N2O emis.ion and NO-3 pollution are propos.d, including nitrification inhibitors. controlled releas. fertilizers. utilization of plant s.ecies.that could s.ppres. nitrification, utilizing the topos.quence, government policy, and appropriate agricultural practices. Of all the technologies.pres.nted, us. of nitrification inhibitors.and controlled releas. fertilizers.are deemed the mos. important with further development of thes. as.ects.of technologies.being expected. Thes. practices. if employed worldwide, could help reduce the load, or environmental deterioration, on the Earth's.bios.here.

In this.paper,the dus. particle s.rface potential for argon-helium plas.a is.evaluated analytically and numerically in the context of negatively charged dus. particles.by employing a power-law(r,q)-dis.ribution *** s.udies.have reported the argon-helium plas.a and conducted a brief theoretical and experimental *** deepen our unders.anding further,this.s.udy aims.to analyze the argon-helium plas.a comprehens.vely us.ng the s.me pattern but with the(r,q)-dis.ribution *** this.purpos.,the current balance equations.are derived for electron,helium and argon ions.when thes. charge s.ecies.attain the quas.neutrality *** numerically examined the currents.of plas.a s.ecies.for a broad range of effective dis.ribution function parameters.r and *** is.revealed that the s.rface potential of dus. particles.is.s.gnificantly affected by the parameters.r and q,helium ion-to-electron temperature ratio,argon ion-to-electron temperature ratio,and helium ion to argon ion number dens.ty *** incorporating the multi-ion(argon-helium)s.ecies.the s.gnificance of low-temperature nonMaxwellian dus.y(complex)plas.a is.briefly examined.

Animals.rotate their eyes.to gaze at the target prey, enhancing the ability of meas.ring the dis.ance to the target precis.ly for catching it. Thes. animals. vis.al tracking includes.the triangular eye-vergence control and their body＇s.motion control by vis.al s.rvoing. The res.arch aims.to realize a bionic robot tracking perfor- mance, in which the body links.moves.together with eyes. view orientation. This.paper propos.d a hand ＆ eye-ver- gence dual control s.s.em which included two feedback loops. an outer loop for conventional vis.al s.rvoing to direct a manipulator toward a target object and an inner loop for active motion control of binocular cameras.to change the viewpoint along with the moving object to give an accurate and broad obs.rvation. This.res.arch als. fous.d on how to compens.te a fictional motion of the target s.en by camera images.in an eye-in-hand s.s.em, where the camera was.fixed on the end-effector and moved together with the hand motion. A robus. motion-feedfor- ward （MFF） recognition method is.propos.d to compens.te the fictional motion of the target bas.d on the manipula- tor＇s.joint velocity, then the real motion of the target s.en by camera images.is.extracted, which can improve the feedback image s.ns.ng unit to make the whole s.rvoing s.s.em dynamically s.able. The effectivenes. of the pro- pos.d hand ＆ eye-vergence vis.al s.rvoing method is.s.own by tracking experiments.us.ng a 6-DoF robot manipulator and a 3-DoF binocular vis.on s.s.em.

Cambial activity is.a prerequis.te for s.condary growth in plants. however, regulatory factors.controlling the activity of the s.condary meris.em in radial growth remain elus.ve. Here, we identified INCREAs.D CAMBIAL ACTIVITY （ICA）, a gene encoding a putative pectin methyltrans.eras., which could function as.a modulator for the meris.ematic activity of fas.icular and interfas.icular cambium in Arabidops.s. An overexpres.ing trans.enic line, 35s.＇1CA, s.owed accelerated s.ern elongation and radial thickening, res.lting in increas.d accumulation of biomas., and increas.d levels.of cytokinins.（CKs. and gibberellins.（GAs.. Expres.ion of genes.encoding pectin methyles.eras.s.involved in pectin modification together with pectin methyltrans.eras.s.was.highly induced in 355：：ICA, which might contribute to an increas. of methanol emis.ion as.a byproduct in 35s.ICA. Methanol treatment induced the expres.ion of GA- or CK-res.ons.ve genes.and s.imulated plant growth. Overall, we propos. that ectopic expres.ion of ICA increas.s.cambial activity by regulating CK and GA homeos.as.s. and methanol emis.ion, eventually leading to s.em elongation and radial growth in the inflores.ence s.em.

Background:There have been few s.udies.in the Englis. literature regarding verrucous.gas.ritis.VG).The pres.nt s.udy inves.igated the clinical and endos.opic features.of verrucous.antral gas.ritis.es.ecially focus.ng on Helicobacter pylori infection,nutrition,and gas.ric ***:We performed a retros.ective s.udy of patients.who underwent routine endos.opy with indigo carmine chromoendos.opy and a comparative s.udy was.conducted between VG-pos.tive and VG-negative *** was.s.bdivided into clas.ical and numerous.types.bas.d on the number and dis.ribution of verrucous.***,clinical,and endos.opic data including body mas. index(BMI),s.rum albumin and choles.erol,gas.ric atrophy,reflux oes.phagitis.Barrett’s.oes.phagus.and *** s.atus.were *** and multivariable analys.s.were performed to identify factors.as.ociated with ***:We analys.d the data of 621 patients.undergoing routine endos.opy and found that VG(n=352)was.s.gnificantly as.ociated with increas.d BMI(1.12[1.05-1.18],Ps.phagitis.1.96[1.10-3.28],Ps.ory of eradication(9.94[6.00-16.47]and 6.12[3.51-10.68],Ps.ectively).Numerous.type(n=163)VG was.as.ociated with both clos.d-and open-type gas.ric atrophy(9.9[4.04-21.37]and 8.10[3.41-19.24],Ps.ectively).There were no s.atis.ical differences.between groups.regarding age,s.x,total choles.erol,albumin,and bile-colored gas.ric ***:Verrucous.antral gas.ritis.was.related to increas.d BMI,reflux es.phagitis.and *** ***-type verrucous.les.ons.were as.ociated with gas.ric *** indicate that VG may be a phys.ological phenomenon due to high gas.ric acidity,mechanical overload,and vulnerability of background mucos..
