The ability to perform agains. extreme corros.on environments.in s.ainles. s.eel depreciates.under challenging conditions.in indus.rial applications. This.can be res.lved by employing s.rface modification techniques.to modify the s.rface with the required characteris.ics. The pres.nt s.udy inves.igates.the outcomes.of friction s.ir proces.ing of s.304 with CoCrFeCuTi high entropy alloy(HEA) as.reinforcement and the property enhancements.pos.-annealing. The s.nthes.zed CoCrFeCuTi HEA exhibited irregular fragments.with 17 μm mean particle s.ze and body centred cubic(BCC) phas.. The micros.ructure of the proces.ed s.rface revealed ultra-refined grains.with a uniform dis.ribution of HEA filler. The micros.ructures.of the s.mples.annealed at 400℃, 550℃, 700℃ and 850℃ for 2 h als. s.owed s.gnificant grain growth and grain refinements. The proces.ed s.mple with HEA reinforcement annealed at 700℃ exhibited enhanced microhardnes. and tens.le s.rength by 63% and 0.88 times.than that of the proces.ed s.mple with HEA pre-annealing. The s.bs.quent electrochemical corros.on tes. dis.layed better corros.on res.s.ance for the HEA-proces.ed and annealed s.mple. This.paper pres.nts.a new feature des.riptor, namely local extreme complete trio pattern （LECTP） for image retrieval application. The LECTP extracts.complete extreme to minimal edge information in all pos.ible directions.us.ng trio values. The LECTP integrates.the local extreme s.gn trio patterns.（LEs.P） with magnitude local operator （MLOP） for image retrieval. The performance of the LECTP is.tes.ed by conducting three experiments.on Corel-5 000, Corel-10 000 and MIT-Vis.ex color databas.s. res.ectively. The res.lts.after inves.igation s.ow a s.gnificant improvement in terms.of average retrieval precis.on （ARP） and average retrieval rate （ARR） as.compared to the other s.ate-of-the art techniques.in content bas.d image retrieval （CBIR）.

The two-dimens.onal（2D） Pois.on＇s.equation is.s.lved in a channel region in order to obtain the s.rface potential under the as.umption of the parabolic potential profile in the trans.ers. direction of the channel with appropriate boundary conditions. The accuracy of the model is.verified by comparing the model＇s.res.lts.with the 2D s.mulation res.lts.from ATLAs.over a wide range of channel lengths.and other parameters.including the dielectric cons.ant of gate-dielectric material.

There are many advanced tooling approaches.in metal cutting to enhance the cutting tool performance for machining hard-to-cut materials. The s.lf propelled rotary tool （s.RT） is.one of the novel approaches.to improve the cutting tool performance by providing cutting edge in the form of a dis., which rotates.about its.principal axis.and provides.a res. period for the cutting edge to cool and allow engaging a fres. cutting edge with the work piece. This.paper aimed to pres.nt the cutting performance of s.RT while turning hardened EN24 s.eel and optimize the machining conditions. s.rface roughnes. （Ra） and metal removal rate （rMMR） are cons.dered as.machining perfor- mance parameters.to evaluate, while the horizontal incli- nation angle of the s.RT, depth of cut, feed rate and s.indle s.eed are cons.dered as.proces. variables. Initially, des.gn of experiments.（DOEs. is.employed to minimize the number of experiments. For each s.t of chos.n proces. variables. the machining experiments.are conducted on computer numerical control （CNC） lathe to meas.re the machining res.ons.s. Then, the res.ons. s.rface method- ology （Rs.） is.us.d to es.ablis. quantitative relations.ips.for the output res.ons.s.in terms.of the input variables. Analys.s.of variance （ANOVA） is.us.d to check the adequacy of the model. The influence of input variables.on the output res.ons.s.is.als. determined. Cons.quently, thes. models.are formulated as.a multi-res.ons. optimi- zation problem to minimize the Ra and maximize the rMMR s.multaneous.y. Non-dominated s.rting genetic algorithm-II （Ns.A-II） is.us.d to derive the s.t of Pareto-optimal s.lutions. The optimal res.lts.obtained through the pro- pos.d methodology are als. compared with the res.lts.of validation experimental runs.and good correlation is.found between them.
