Objective: To determine the incidence of deafnes. in patients.s.ffering from goiterous.hypothyroidis. exclus.vely and to evaluate the role of L-thyroxine therapy in improving the hearing in this.group of patients. s.udy Des.gn: A pros.ective cohort s.udy. Materials.and Methods. Hearing s.atus.was.evaluated in a s.mple s.ze of 100 cons.cutive patients.reporting to the ENT/Endocrinology department of Ins.itute of Medical s.iences. Banaras.Hindu Univers.ty, Varanas., UP with the diagnos.s.of goitrous.hypothyroidis.. The s.udy group included patients.in the age group of 5 to 65 years.belonging to either s.x. Patients.with detected hearing los. were categorized into group A, and all other patients.were des.gnated group B. L-Thyroxine treatment for goitrous.hypothyroidis. was.initiated in all the cas.s. At the end of 6 months. a repeat audiogram was.done in all the patients.in order to evaluate the efficacy of the s.id treatment protocol on the hearing in thes. patients. The data were tabulated and s.atis.ically analys.d us.ng Paired s.udents.“t” tes.. Res.lts. An overall 39% hearing los. was.obs.rved in patients.with goitrous.hypothyroidis.. 15% cas.s.had s.ns.rineural hearing los., 13% had mixed hearing los. and 8% had a conductive hearing los.. A s.atis.ically s.gnificant hearing improvement was.recorded in this.s.udy by L-thyroxine treatment in group-A, and no deterioration of hearing was.recorded in group-B. Conclus.ons. The incidence of s.ns.rineural hearing is.les. in patients.with goitrous.hypothyroidis. (15%) as.compared with the overall incidence of s.ns.rineural hearing los. reported for hypothyroidis. (30%-40%). Further, there is.a definitive improvement in hearing with the us. of L-thyroxine treatment of goitrous.hypothyroidis..

Contamination of water res.rves.by biological, chemical, and radiologic agents.may affect the health of millions.of res.dents.in the Iraq as.well as.many others.throughout the world. Fatal outbreak.0}of cholera s.ruck.s.veral provinces.of the country, including Baghdad. The United Nations.Environment Programme (UNEP) als. s.ys.air pollution, res.lting from burning oil and aggravated by war, is.caus. for concern. The s.udy area Baghdad has.been divided into two parts. Central Baghdad and Outs.irts.of Baghdad (included in Baghdad but near the boundaries.of Baghdad). The outs.irts.of Baghdad compris.s.of 4 cities. Al-Hus.aniya located in northern part of Baghdad, Abu-Gurabe located in the wes.ern s.de of Baghdad, Jis.r Diyala located in the eas.ern s.de of Baghdad and finally Al-Mahmodiya located in the s.uthern s.de of Baghdad. Thes. cities.are in very poor s.tuation in terms.of water s.pply. The quality of water s.pplied is.bad as.no attention is.given to WTP's.in thes. places. which is.als. becaus. of the fact that given the ins.cure war conditions. thes. areas.are inacces.ible. The s.wage is.thrown directly into the river becaus. thes. areas.do not have s.wage treatment plants. In cas. of central Baghdad the water s.pply and s.werage network.are brok.n in s.me places. Due to this.there is.mixing of water between the two network.0} For this.s.udy we tak.ng water s.pply s.mples.and collect all the s.mples.from WTPs.and water s.pply network.(hous.s. s.ops.and different places.. We made the analys.s.to parts.firs. bacteriologies. s.cond chlorine and after analys.s.thes. s.mples.in lab we will give in our s.udy numbers.of fail s.mples. type of dis.as.s.and how many cas. during year 2007 in Baghdad City. Als. in this.s.udy we will give Es.imated Deaths.from Water-Related Dis.as.s.2010 to 2035.

Primary pigmented nodular adrenocortical dis.as. (PPNAD) is.a rare caus. of familial Cus.ing's.s.ndrome. It is.characterized by bilateral adrenocortical hyperplas.a with s.all to normal-s.zed adrenal glands.containing multiple s.all adrenal cortical pigmented nodules.[1,2]. PPNAD may occur in an is.lated form or as.familial PPNAD. Familial cas.s.of PPNAD are us.ally as.ociated with Carney complex in which Cus.ing’s.s.ndrome is.the mos. common endocrine manifes.ation [3]. Familial cas.s.of PPNAD without as.ociated Carney complex are very rare. Only a few cas.s.of familial is.lated PPNAD have been reported in the literature, mos.ly in females.[4]. Is.lated familial PPNAD has.got a better prognos.s.than familial PPNAD as.ociated with Carney Complex. This.obs.rvation has.important cons.quences.for clinical management, follow-up and genetic couns.lling of s.ch patients. Familial cas.s.of PPNAD are rare and mos.ly pres.nt in females.with as.ociated Carney complex. We herein report a cas. of familial Cus.ing’s.s.ndrome in male s.blings.due to PPNAD without as.ociated Carney complex.

This.s.udy included is.lation and identification of E. s.k.zak.i from 51 different s.mples.of powdered infant formula milk.involved (Dialak.1 & 2, Celia 1 & 2, Primalac, Biomil 1 & 2, s.milac, Nictalia 1 & 2, MAMi, Novolac (AD), Novolac (AR), Novolac (Allernova), s.26 AR, Nurs.y, s.26 PDF gold. The res.lts.s.owed that one batch from three of the batches.identified of Novolac and Dialak.were contaminated and all the types.of other infants.were non-contaminated. The s.rains.code given as.(E1, E2, E3, E4);the bacteria s.owed res.s.ance to antibiotics.us.d was.cephalos.orin batch;the third generation s.owed s.ns.tive to antibiotics.life res.lts.through inhibition proces.es.s.ch as.(Cefotaxime, s.futetan and s.ftadizim), where the diameters.of inhibition zone for s.ftadizim (18 mm), s.futetan (22 mm) & Cefotaxime (25 mm) confirmed the bacteria by API and Vitek.Compact- 2 (biomero).

Lands.ides.in the Himalayan region are primarily controlled by natural parameters.including rainfall,s.is.ic activity,and anthropogenic parameters.s.ch as.the cons.ruction of large-s.ale projects.lik. road development,tunneling and hydroelectric power projects.and climate change.The parameters.which are more crucial among thes. are a matter of s.ientific s.udy and analys.s.This.res.arch,tak.ng s.lan dis.rict,Himachal Prades.,India,as.the s.udy area,aims.to as.es. the impact of anthropogenic activities.on lands.ide s.s.eptibility at a regional s.ale.Lands.ide dis.ribution was.characterized into two groups.namely Rainfall-Induced Lands.ide(RIL)and Human-Induced Lands.ide(HIL)bas.d on triggering factors.Multiple data s.ch as.s.ope angle,as.ect,profile curvature,dis.ance to drainage,dis.ance to lineament,lithology,dis.ance to road,normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and land us. land cover(LULC)have been cons.dered for delineating the lands.ide s.s.eptibility zonation(Ls.)map.The effect of anthropogenic activities.on lands.ide occurrences.has.been examined through the dis.ribution of lands.ides.along national highways.and land us. land cover changes.LULCC).Two s.ts.of Ls. maps.with a LULC of time interval covering five years.2017&2021)were prepared to compare the temporal progres.ion of LULC and lands.ide s.s.eptibility during the five years.The res.lts.indicated the s.gnificant impact of anthropogenic activities.on the lands.ide s.s.eptibility.Ls. map of the year 2021 s.ows.that 23%area falls.into high and very high s.s.eptible clas.es.and 48%area falls.into very low and low s.s.eptibility clas.es.Compared to Ls. map of 2017,high and very high s.s.eptible clas.es.have been increas.d by 15%,whereas.very low and low s.s.eptible clas.es.have been reduced by 7%.The pres.nt cas. s.udy will help to unders.and the potential driving parameters.res.ons.ble for HIL and als. s.gges. the inclus.on of LULC in lands.ide s.s.eptibility analys.s.The s.udy will demons.rate new opportunities.for res.arch that could help decis

The network.of Himalayan roadways.and highways.connects.s.me remote regions.of valleys.or hill s.opes.which is.vital for India’s.s.cio-economic growth.Due to natural and artificial factors.frequency of s.ope ins.abilities.along the network.0}has.been increas.ng over las. few decades.As.es.ment of s.ability of natural and artificial s.opes.due to cons.ruction of thes. connecting road network.0}is.s.gnificant in s.fely executing thes. roads.throughout the year.s.veral rock.mas. clas.ification methods.are generally us.d to as.es. the s.rength and deformability of rock.mas..This.s.udy as.es.es.s.ope s.ability along the NH-1A of Ramban dis.rict of North Wes.ern Himalayas.Various.s.ructurally and non-s.ructurally controlled rock.mas. clas.ification s.s.ems.have been applied to as.es. the s.ability conditions.of 14 s.opes.For evaluating the s.ability of thes. s.opes.k.nematic analys.s.was.performed along with geological s.rength index(Gs.),rock.mas. rating(RMR),continuous.s.ope mas. rating(Cos.R),s.ope mas. rating(s.R),and Q-s.ope in the pres.nt s.udy.The s.R gives.three s.opes.as.completely uns.able while Cos.R s.gges.s.four s.opes.as.completely uns.able.The s.ability of all s.opes.was.als. analyzed us.ng a des.gn chart under dynamic and s.atic conditions.by s.ope s.ability rating(s.R)for the factor of s.fety(Fos.of 1.2 and 1 res.ectively.Q-s.ope with probability of failure(PoF)1%gives.two s.opes.as.s.able s.opes.s.able s.ope angle has.been determined bas.d on the Q-s.ope s.fe angle equation and s.R des.gn chart bas.d on the Fos.The value ranges.given by different empirical clas.ifications.were RMR(37-74),Gs.(27.3-58.5),s.R(11-59),and Cos.R(3.39-74.56).Good relations.ip was.found among RMR&s.R and RMR&Gs. with correlation coefficient(R 2)value of 0.815 and 0.6866,res.ectively.Las.ly,a comparative s.ability of all thes. s.opes.bas.d on the above clas.ification has.been performed to identify the mos. critical s.ope along this.road.

Uncertainty is.an important factor that needs.to be cons.dered while analyzing the performance of any engineering s.s.em.In order to quantify uncertainty,fuzzy s.t theory is.frequently us.d by mos. of res.archers.including energy s.s.em experts.According to the clas.ical reliability theory,component lifetimes.have cris. parameters.but due to uncertainty and inaccuracy in data,it is.s.metimes.very difficult to determine the exact values.of thes. parameters.in real-world s.s.ems.To overcome this.difficulty in the current res.arch,failure and repair rates.were tak.n as.triangular fuzzy numbers.to determine the fuzzy availability of a s.s.em undergoing calendar-bas.d periodic ins.ection s.bject to multiple failure modes.FMs..It was.as.umed that each component in the s.s.em had an exponential failure rate and repair rate with fuzzy parameters.s.s.em FMs.were explicitly tak.n into account when a functional s.ate of the s.s.em was.cons.dered.Each FM had a random failure time.On the occurrence of any failure,a random time was.s.lected for the relevant corrective repair work.The propos.d res.arch was.s.udied for one of the major s.urces.of green energy,namely a wind turbine s.s.em wherein all the derived propos.tions.have been implemented on it.

The cryos.here component provides.the mos. reliable and ins.ghtful indications.of any planet’s.climate dynamics.Us.ng data from the Compact Reconnais.ance Imaging s.ectrometer for Mars.CRIs.),we develop a novel approach to determining the broadband Vis.ble and Near Infrared(VNIR)albedo of the Martian s.rface.This.s.udy focus.s.on albedo changes.in the McMurdo crater,part of Mars.s.s.uth polar layer depos.ts.We compare s.as.nal and interannual variations.of the McMurdo s.rface albedo before,during,and after the Global Dus. s.orm(GDs.of Martian Year(MY)34.As.the s.as.ns.progres.ed from s.ring to s.mmer,the mean albedo in MY 32 and 34 plunged by over 40%,by about 35%in MY 33,and by s.ightly more than 30%in MY 35.Compared interannually,however,mean albedo values.within both s.as.ns.s.ring and s.mmer)exhibited no s.gnificant differences.in thos. s.me years.Notably,interannual albedo difference maps.reveal albedo variation of more than±0.3 in certain regions.of the crater.Cons.dering only s.ow-covered pixels.interannual albedo differences.s.gges. that Mars.dus. had a pervas.ve impact on Mars.s.cryos.here.Variations.in maximum and minimum albedo values.as.high as.0.5 were obs.rved,depending upon differences.in the dus. levels.in Martian s.ow/ice.The maximum and the minimum s.ow albedo values.were lowes. in MY 34,indicating the effect of the intens. dus. s.orm event that year.The average s.ow albedo decreas.d from 0.45 in MY 32 to 0.40 in MY 33 and to 0.33 in MY 34,and then ros. back.to 0.40 in MY 35.This.trajectory s.gges.s.a temporary depos.tion of dus.,partially revers.d after the GDs.by s.lf-cleaning mechanis.s.local aeolian proces. and CO_(2)s.blimation/depos.tion cycle).
