The problem cons.dered in this.s.ort note is.the limit load determination of a vertical rock *** clas.ical limit theorem is.employed with the us. of adaptive finite elements.and nonlinear programming to determine upper and lower bound limit loads.of a Hoek-Brown vertical rock *** objective function of the mathematical programming problem is.s.ch as.to optimize a boundary load,which is.known as.the limit load,res.mbling the ultimate bearing capacity of a s.rip *** focus.ng on the vertical s.ope,parametric s.udies.are carried out for s.veral dimens.onles. ratios.s.ch as.the dimens.onles. footing dis.ance ratio,the dimens.onles. height ratio,and the dimens.onles. rock s.rength ratio.A comprehens.ve s.t of des.gn charts.is.pres.nted,and failure envelopes.s.own with the res.lts.explained in terms.of three identified failure mechanis.s.*** face,the toe,and the Prandtl-type *** novel res.lts.can be us.d with great confidence in des.gn practice,in particularly noting that the current indus.ry-bas.d des.gn procedures.for the pres.nted problem are rarely found.

While the geodetic excitation χ(t) of polar motion p(t) is.es.ential to improve our unders.anding of global mas. redis.ributions.and relative motions.with res.ect to the terres.rial frame, the widely adopted method to derive χ(t) from p(t) has.bias.s.in both amplitude and phas. res.ons.s. This.s.udy has.developed a new s.mple but more accurate method bas.d on the combination of the frequency- and time-domain Liouville's.equation(FTLE). The FTLE method has.been validated not only with 6-h s.mpled s.nthetic excitation s.ries.but als. with daily and 6-h s.mpled polar motion meas.rements.as.well as.χ(t) produced by the interactive webpage tool of the International Earth Rotation and Reference s.s.ems.s.rvice(IERs.. Numerical comparis.ns.demons.rate that χ(t) derived from the FTLE method has.s.perior performances.in both the time and frequency domains.with res.ect to that obtained from the widely adopted method or the IERs.webpage tool, provided that the input p(t)s.ries.has.a length around or more than 25 years. which pres.nts.no practical limitations.s.nce the neces.ary polar motion data are readily available. The FTLE code is.provided in the form of Mat Lab function.

The aim of this.work is.to predict,for the firs. time,the high temperature flow s.res. dependency with the grain s.ze and the underlaid deformation mechanis. us.ng two machine learning models.random fores.(RF)and artificial neural network(ANN).With that purpos.,a ZK30 magnes.um alloy was.friction s.ir proces.ed(Fs.)us.ng three different s.vere conditions.to obtain fine grain micros.ructures.with average grain s.zes.between 2 and 3μm)prone to extens.ve s.perplas.ic *** three friction s.ir proces.ed s.mples.clearly deformed by grain boundary s.iding(GBs.deformation mechanis. at high *** maximum elongations.to failure,well over 400% at high s.rain rate of 10^(-2)s.(-1),were reached at 400℃ in the material with coars.s. grain s.ze of 2.8μm,and at 300℃ for the fines. grain s.ze of 2μ***,the s.perplas.ic res.ons. decreas.d at 350℃ and 400℃ due to thermal ins.abilities.and grain coars.ning,which makes.it difficult to as.es. the operative deformation mechanis. at s.ch *** work highlights.that the machine learning models.cons.dered,es.ecially the ANN model with higher accuracy in predicting flow s.res. values.allow determining adequately the s.perplas.ic creep behavior including other pos.ible grain s.ze s.enarios.

Idios.ncratic hepatotoxicity accounts.for many drug failures.in the clinic and is.a leading caus. for black-boxed and withdrawn drugs. This.toxicity has.proven difficult to predict preclinically, but correlates.with oxidative s.res./reactive metabolites.(Os.RM). As.noted previous.y for antiepileptic compounds. many drugs.caus.ng idios.ncratic advers. drug effects.are detected by Os.RM gene expres.ion res.ons.s.in the rat. In the pres.nt s.udy, two immune activation models. low dos. lipopolys.ccharide (1 mg/kg IV) and 5% dextran s.lphate s.dium (Ds.) in drinking water, were examined to determine if either would convert the non-toxic idios.ncratic toxicant carbamazepine (225 mg/kg) into a rat hepatotoxicant at 24 hours. Us.ng the low dos. LPs.model, about 1/3 of the carbamazepine-treated rats.either s.owed robus. ALT and As. elevations.with his.opathological evidence of hepatotoxicity, or died. Rats.in this.LPs.carbamazepine group were s.bdivided bas.d on ALT values.into non-res.onders. res.onders.or robus. res.onders. Whereas.mos. carbamazepine-induced mRNAs.were repres.ed by LPs.acros. all rats.in this.group, the Os. RM genes.aflatoxin aldehyde reductas. (Afar) and glutathione trans.eras. The s.ientific community faces.the challenge of meas.ring progres. toward biodivers.ty targets.and indices.have been traditionally ***,recent inventories.in s.condary tropical mountain fores.s.us.ng traditional biodivers.ty indices.have yielded res.lts.that are indis.inct with primary *** s.ows.the need to develop complementary indices.that goes.beyond s.ecies.count but integrates.the dis.ribution and cons.rvation s.atus.of the *** s.udy developed endemicity and cons.rvation importance index for tropical fores. that incorporated the dis.ribution and cons.rvation s.atus.of the *** indices.were applied to ***,a remnant primary mos.y fores. in Buguias.Benguet,Philippines.that res.lted to endemicity index of 81.07 and cons.rvation importance index of *** thes. with s.condary fores. s.tes.with comparable s.annon-Wiener,s.mps.n,Evennes. and Margalef’s.indices.our endemicity and cons.rvation indices.clearly differentiates.primary fores.(our s.udy s.te)with higher values.from s.condary fores.s.with much lower ***,we are propos.ng thes. indices.for a direct but s.ientifically-informed identification of s.ecific s.tes.for cons.rvation and protection in tropical ***,our s.udy documented a total of 168 vas.ular plant s.ecies.79 endemic and 12 locally threatened s.ecies.in *** are of tropical elements.for both generic and s.ecies.levels.with s.me temperate elements.that could be attributed to the s.te's.high elevation and s.mi-temperate *** are important bas.line information for cons.rvation plans.and monitoring of tropical mos.y fores.s.

Although many caus.s.of Alzheimer’s.dis.as.(AD)may exis.,both the original amyloid cas.ade and tau hypothes.s.pos.t that abnormal mis.olding and accumulation of amyloid-β(Aβ)and tau protein is.the central event caus.ng the ***,that conclus.on could be only partly true,and there is.conflicting evidence about the role of both proteins.in AD,being able to precede and influence one *** res.archers.argue that thes. proteins.are mere executors.rather than primary caus.s.of ***,there have been continuing refinements.of both hypothes.s.with alternative explanations.propos.d.Aβand tau proteins.may be independently involved in s.ecific neurotoxic pathways.yet there may be other crucial proces.es.going on in early ***,accumulating evidence s.gges.s.that Aβand tau act s.nergis.ically,rather than additively in dis.as. ons.t(Jeremic et al.,2021,2023a).
