The pres.nt s.udy area involves.part of a deformed coales.ed fan located along the Himalayan Frontal Thrus.(HFT)on the eas. of river Tis.a near the India-Bhutan *** area is.marked by two s.ectacular E-W trending s.uth-s.oping s.arps.namely the Matiali(ca.60 m)and Chals.(ca.90 m)s.arps.and a north-s.oping E-W trending Thaljhora(ca.80 m)*** work compris.s.of a comparative s.udy of geomorphology and geologic his.ory in the adjacent interfluves.of Jaldhaka-Gathia and Neora-Murti rivers.to unders.and the tectonic his.ory of the *** mapped the Jaldhaka-Gathia river interfluve at a 1:25,000 s.ale and report a hitherto unidentified northerly s.oping s.all s.arp of ca.5 m height named the Nagrakata *** s.arp was.identified us.ng s.tellite images.DEMs.and total s.ation *** interpret that the two norths.oping,E-W trending s.arps.Thaljhora and Nagrakata s.arps.are manifes.ations.of s.eep limbs.of anticlines.over blind s.uth-dipping back *** they form a wrinkle-ridge pair behind the north-dipping HFT,which is.manifes.ed by s.uth-s.oping Chals. *** propos. a plaus.ble geomorphic model interpreting that deformation along the s.all fan in the Jaldhaka-Gathia interfluves.is.younger compared to fan depos.tion and deformation in the adjacent Mal-Murti *** mos. recent geomorphology of the Jaldhaka-Gathia interfluve is.controlled by tectonis. as.ociated with the thrus. below the Nagrakata s.arp where the younges. deformation epis.de is.recorded to at around^6 ka and is.likely related to motion on a s.lay off of the thrus. beneath the Thaljhora s.arp.

During the 2012–2016 drought in La Guajira,Colombia, child mortality rates.ros. to 23.4 out of *** of thes. children belonged to the Wayuu indigenous.community, the larges. and one of the mos. vulnerable in Colombia. At the municipal level, this.s.udy found a s.gnificant pos.tive correlation between the average child mortality rate and hous.holds.with a monthly income of les. than Us. 100, the number of people without acces. to health ins.rance, being part of the indigenous.population,being illiterate, lacking s.wage s.s.ems. living in rural areas. and large hous.holds.with members.younger than5 years.old and older than 65 years.old. No correlation was.found with hous.holds.without acces. to a water *** s.epwis. regres.ion analys.s.s.owed that hous.holds.with a monthly income of les. than Us. 100, no members.older than 65 years.old, but s.veral children younger than5 years.old, account for 90.4% of the child mortality *** s.udy concludes.that, if inhabitants.had had better incomes.or as.ets. as.well as.an adequate infras.ructure,they could have faced the drought without the obs.rved increas. in child mortality.

人类面临的一个重要挑战是在为不断增长的人口提供资源的同时,减轻和适应持续的气候和生物多样性危机。生态集约化旨在最大限度地提高作物生产力,同时尽量减少对环境的影响,特别是通过利用生物多样性来改善生态系统功能和服务。许多生态集约化措施是基于生物营养级之间的相互作用(如授粉、生物防治)。在此,我们探讨了生物多样性对生态系统功能的多营养级效应的研究,如何能促进生态集约化措施在农业和林业中的应用。我们综述已有研究报道,并利用文献的定性分析来检验土地利用参数或栖息地复杂性等重要变量如何影响多营养级多样性、生态系统功能以及多营养级生物多样性与生态系统功能的关系。研究结果表明,生物多样性对生态系统功能的正效应在生产系统中普遍存在,主要跨越生态系统功能维度、营养级水平、研究方法和不同的生态系统功能,但存在一定程度的环境依赖性。土地利用和管理对多营养生物多样性和生态系统功能有显著影响。我们在代表性不足的地理区域、生产系统、生物类群和功能多样性测量数据方面发现了知识差距。此外,我们还确定了未来需要更多关注的几个方面,如多种功能之间的权衡、时间动态、气候变化的影响、措施的空间尺度及其实施。这些信息对于确保农业和森林景观在地球环境有限的情况下,持续地为人类生产资源至关重要。

Chip-bas.d flow-through PCR implements.the PCR as.a continuous.proces. for nucleic acid analytics. The s.mple is.trans.orted in a winding channel through temperature zones.required for denaturation, annealing and extens.on. Main fields.of application are the monitoring of continuous.proces.es.for rapid identification of contaminants.and quality control as.well as.high throughput s.reening of cells.or microorganis.s. A modular arrangement with five heating zones.for flow-through PCR is.dis.us.ed and evaluated. The s.ecial heater arrangement allows.the implementation of up to 40 cycles.on the footprint of a micros.ope s.ide, which is.placed on top ofa 5 zones.heating plate. Liquid/liquid two phas. flow of PCR reaction mixture and mineral oil have been applied to create a s.gmented flow proces. s.heme. In that way, the developed s.s.em may provide flow-through PCR as.a unit operation for the droplet bas.d microfluidics.platform. The s.ngle us. of dis.os.ble devices.is.commonly preferred due to the s.ns.tivity of the PCR proces. to contaminations. All-glas. microfluidic chips.and dis.os.ble chip devices. made from polycarbonate as.a replication with identically geometry, have been fabricated and tes.ed. For the firs. time, microchannel geometries.with nearly circular profile developed by all-glas. technology have been trans.erred to mas. fabrication by injection compres.ion molding. Both devices.have been s.cces.fully applied for the detection of the tumor s.ppres.or gene p53. Although product yield and s.lectivity of the amplification proces. do not depend on the chip material, a well defined, reliable s.gmented flow regime could only be realized in the all-glas. chip.
